I have two gorgeous white Peek-A-Poos (mother and son). The mother's name is Butter and her son's name is Baby. The daddy was a cream-colored full-blooed Poodle, but my mom gave him away because she said he was getting mean and honery [sp?]. His name was Popcorn, which is why we named the mother Butter.

My dad just got a puppy for me about two weeks ago...he bought her off some guy on the street for $20!! She is a St. Bernard/Terrier mix (you figure that one out http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/wink.gif ) and her name is Roxie...this is the first female pet that I have had and I can definitely see the difference in attitude http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/biggrin.gif ...I hate to say it, but I'm spoiling her already! She sleeps in my bed, and I just spent $30 on a collar/leash combo with fake diamonds on it...I couldn't resist http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/tongue.gif

I have a mini golden retriever, 2 years old and his name is Goku. He's such a smart dog. He never runs out of energy and he likes jumping, rolling, fliping, etc. I'm thinking about putting him into the American Agilty Association, you know the dogs on TV that run through all the obsticals. I think he'd be really good at that.

I have a 1.5 yo Shar Pei/APBT mix that I've had since she was 6 weeks old. Her name is Rambler, short for "rambunctious" (she's satan's dog I tell you). My mother just got this...terrier mix that looks like a longer grey version of the dog from Annie last week. She's named her Maxi (yes as in pad). Our dog that just passed away was a shepard/doberman mixed named Ubu (as it sit Ubu sit, good dog).

MeezDiscreet 08-13-2001 05:58 PM

i thought that dog was named "boo-boo" instead of ubu.

****************

we had a doberman named "master" and after he passed, we got another doberman and his name was "goliath." (my dad named both of these pets and i have no idea why he chose the names he did)

CodeBlue_R3 08-13-2001 09:24 PM

Well I'm a rott person myself, I had six but due to some traumas I only have two left, a father and his brothers daughter (in human terms).

I just wanted to put a Rest In Peace to my cocker spaniel PACO aka Pac Diggy who passed away a month and a half ago of unknown causes.

Kimmie1913 08-14-2001 09:54 AM

Gosh, all these dog people up in here!

Her name is justice, named by some of my law school classmates at the time before she was mine. My Boyfriend & I found Some kittens underneath his fraterity house. We kept one and distributed the other 2 to his bros. They are adorable - just turned 5 months.
Their names are Beemer, Spaz, and Chunk.

*Chunk is mine... she eats alot... she will be a chunk, someday.

I love dogs! I have two Pomeranians...I'm kind of sad, because I just dropped them off at the kennel because I'm heading to NC for the weekend...but I digress. This morning Hailey weighed in at 8 pounds and Maya a whopping 12 pounds...She's a butterball. But they are both orange, long-haired, big-brown-eyed beauties and are just a year old. They are my heart! I love my babies and when I really grow up...I want to get a third dog...a Great Dane. What can I say, I have a Scooby Doo complex! I'll name him Scooter.

I have a year old miniature pinscher named Kricket that's full grown and she weighs all of 5 lbs. I about to get an Akita puppy and I have no clue as to what I'm going to name her. Any suggestions?

How about Jiminy? (Jiminy/Kricket?) Ha Ha...okay, really...My neighbor had an Akita and her name was Gitana. She was a stunning dog, very beautiful. Good luck!

My husband and I adopted a daschound mixed mutt from the shelter three years ago. He is the sweetest!!! His name is DALLAS. The Dallas Cowboys is his favorite football team, hence his name.

Steeltrap 08-27-2001 05:12 PM

My sister and nephew own a 10-year-old, full-blooded American Staffordshire Bull Terrier (pit bull) named Chaplin. I see him on weekends at my mom's house, so he's practically my dog, too.
Chaplin looks ferocious, but is a big baby at heart. My sister treats him like he's a lap dog, not a 100-plus-pound pit bull.

The Original Ape 08-27-2001 07:55 PM

I have one but I don't know what breed she is :D

Name Your Pet

I have a brown tiger striped pit. She is real gentle, but she do not like white people. She won't let another dog get next to her, so we can't breed her. Anyhoo, her name is Kelly. We got her when she was two years old and we named her after her owner when he passed.

DOVE1920 10-05-2001 04:13 PM

My fiance and I are going to adopt two cats...we keep joking that we're going to name them Abraham and Pantalaimon, and call them Bra and Panti for short...but in reality they're probably going to end up being named Lucy and Ethel.

PrettyKitty 10-17-2001 09:54 PM

I don't own pets. I was on pet overload growing up...

lil_sunshine 10-22-2001 05:01 PM

My pet's name is....

I had a tabby cat named Charlie. My sisters and I named him after my maternal grandfather, whom we never knew because he passed when I was a year old. My father got rid of Charlie because he was too cheap to pay to get him neutered and Charlie HATED my father and used to piss all over any clothing he saw laying around in his bedroom. I miss him a lot and my sisters and brothers hate him for getting rid of Charlie because we were attached to him, but hey, that's the way the cookie crumbles. :(

I plan to get a black cat when I move out and name him either Shadow or 8-Ball. I don't want a girl cat, she may remind me of how bitchy I can get. :p
