Disney shows

Am I the only person who enjoys watching Lizzie McGuire, Even Stevens, Boy Meets World, etc? I have an 8 yr old brother (9 next Friday) and when one of "my" shows is on, he'll shout out to me across the house. I know there has to be some Disney show fans out there. :)

LaDolceVita03 02-28-2003 05:33 PM

I think I'm worse because I like the "animated series." I love the Proud Family and Kim Possible!! And I admit I still watch the Sister Sister reruns!:D

SoCalGirl 02-28-2003 11:18 PM

Guilty!

I was all excited about the Lizzie Maguire movie until I saw the trailer and Miranda wasn't in it. And barely any Gordo. :( Adore Miranda!!!

KillarneyRose 02-28-2003 11:25 PM

I LOVE Lizzie McGuire! My girls and I watch the show together after dinner every night. I like Kim Possible, too. And Even Stevens. Boy Meets World, too.

Cluey 02-28-2003 11:26 PM

My middle school students LOVE Lizzie Maguire, so I had to check it out one Saturday when I was home. It was pretty good, much better than what we had when I was their age. The only show I think could even compare would be Fifteen on Nickelodeon. Am I the only person who remembers that show?

jonsagara 02-28-2003 11:32 PM

My fiancee watches those things all the time. Ugh.

To each her own, though, right?

KappaTarzan 02-28-2003 11:56 PM

I LOVE DISNEY SHOWS! :) and disney movies. i am 6 at heart.. and i wouldn't have it any other way

carnation 03-01-2003 12:05 AM

Oh, Lizzie is a staple around here! And so are the made-for-TV Disney movies like Gotta Kick It Up and Double Teamed.

prospectiverushee 03-01-2003 01:16 AM

I like Lizzie too. Lanny is so funny with his non-talking self:D And now that they have the storyline of Lizzie and Gordo liking each other, I'm hooked.

Cluey: I use to love Fifteen. That show was so bad. I wish Nick would do reruns or that "The N" would pick it up like they did Clarrissa Explains It All, Daria, and Just Deal.

Hootie 03-01-2003 03:17 AM

AHHHHHHHHHHHH! I am SO addicted to Disney. Every night I watch Lizzie (gotta love her brother), Even Stephens, Boy Meets World...etc. I dunno WHY because the shows are so simple. I think it's because it's refreshing to watch stuff that isn't filled with drama that isn't solved. I would say that recently, I watch MORE Disney shows than I do any other cable show...heck, I fall sleep to Disney!

definately not..that show was one of my favorites when i was in 6th grade! did you know that billy was the guy in 2 guys, a girl and a pizza place & van wilder?

SuperSister 03-01-2003 09:15 AM

My parent's house doesn't have the Disney channel so I go through withdrawl every time I go home for any length of time. My school is heading into almost a 2 week break though and I'm student teaching so I will be here all alone with no brother or boyfriend to make fun of me for watching the Disney channel. I am so psyched to watch Lizzie and Even Stevens while grading papers!

shopgirl 03-01-2003 07:29 PM

Sometimes I watch Boy Meets World.

Something strange...I have come to like shows that are now syndicated. For example, I never watched The Nanny, Boy Meets World, or Home Improvement until they were over. I never knew they existed until they were over!

I usually fall asleep to Disney too! The shows are so inane they're soothing.

I LOVE Lizzie McGuire. Its basically a newer version of Clarissa Explains it all (pretty blonde girl, wacky clothes, wacky parents, boy for a best friend...) but its still a great show.

My boyfriend jokes that Hilary Duff should be in a show called "I can't believe she's not legal!" She does look pretty mature for 14...

Even though I dont have cable anymore:mad: , I still can watch Lizzie McGuire, The Proud Family, and Kim Possible on ABC saturday mornings. I miss Even Stevens and Boy Meets World.

Does anyone else remember the other classic Nickelodeon shows:
Clarissa Explains It All, Welcome Freshmen, Hey Dude, You Cant Do That On Television, Nick Aracde, Get The Picture, The Adventures of Pete and Pete (OMG so many memories!!!!!!!!!!)

smiley21 03-02-2003 08:55 AM

OH WAIT A MINUTE!!! I forgot "Salute Your Shorts"!!!!!!!!!!!!:D

SATX*APhi 03-02-2003 07:45 PM

I remember Salute Your Shorts! I loved that show. Also, Adventures of the Little Koala, Wild and Crazy Kids, Are You Afraid of the Dark?, and Eureeka's Castle.

ToBeSororityGrl 03-03-2003 12:58 AM

mu_agd 03-04-2003 02:28 PM

I LOVE all of those shows, especially Lizzie!! I feel so much better knowing I'm not the only one and don't have to watch them in secret!

LuaBlanca 03-04-2003 11:44 PM

Lizzie McGuire is definately a great show...

But I'm definately more of a fan of the made-for-disney-channel movies...Gotta Kick It Up was awesome :)
I love Zenon: Girl of the 21st Century (Protazoa was a cutie!)
:)

CrimsonTide4 01-08-2004 10:03 PM

Question: Is Even Stevens over? Am I resolved to only watch reruns?? I miss new eps with Louis and Beans.

Oh and please someone tell me that Christy Carlson Romano is not about to do a Hillary Duff!!! (sing; album; tour)

mu_agd 01-08-2004 10:05 PM

unfortunately i think i'm going to have to answer yes to both those questions. although, i'm not positive.

Yep -- the Even Stevens Movie was pretty much the last episode of the show, with Ren finally graduating from junior high.

I read somewhere that Christy Carlson Romano's still doing the voice of Kim Possible as well as singing on a few Disney soundtracks AND attending classes at Barnard. Shia LeBeauf (what a cutie!)'s supposedly working on more movies. He was on the Tonight Show a few weeks ago and I couldn't believe how much he's grown.

Yeah I know about KP but she has a song/video for the Teacher's Pet (cartoon) movie that comes out in a few weeks.

I need more BEANS, LOL.

OH and I watched Dumb and Dumberer 2 weeks ago and was amped to see Shia LaBeouf in the movie. He is a cutie.

They could have let me know in a better way. I would have liked to have seen more BEANS. :(

Beans comes out in the new Steve Martin movie, Cheaper by the Dozen, but it's not the same. He plays an entirely different type of kid and his voice has matured. Ah! Sorry gal. No more beans.

She went through Recruitment this fall, as Barnard students are allowed to go through Recruitment at Columbia. I have no idea where she ended up. :)

I thought I saw his face on one of the previews. What made me pull this back up last was I was watching TeenNick and Sabrina was on and BEANS was on it. His teeth were huge or his face was smaller, lol. One of the 2.

Dang she is in college. I mean I kind of figured but wow.

I think Shia could definitely have his own show. I would watch. :) Especially if BEANS is on as a cast member as well.

He's just a funny looking kid and he was better on the show than Donnie. I could definitely see him being a great comedic actor. Those teeth. . .BEAVER would have been a good nickname too.

Taualumna 01-09-2004 11:23 AM

Wasn't Boy Meets World originally an ABC show (ok, so they're owned by Disney)? We don't get the Disney Channel in Canada, but most of their shows air on The Family Channel. Personally, I prefer Disney animated features, although the ones in the past few years haven't been all that great. Looking forward to the Lion King 1 1/2 DVD though.
