ring tones!
 

okay, so let me start off by saying i'm a big dork..i just got a new phone and i can d/l all these cool ringtones(they're they kind that almost sound like real music..not a normal ringtone). anyway, i want to download one but i can't decide, and it would be easy for me to just say okay i can dl one and then i get sick of it dl another..but my problem is, i'm resistant to change..once i pick a ringtone, i'm gonna keep it for the entire duration that i have my phone because i'm always scared that if i change it i will never know when my phone is ringing.. anyway, since i can't decide i thought i'd turn to you all for help..below are the ones that i've narrowed it down to..i just need people to vote to help me pick :)

Since I got my new phone last December I've been going ringtone crazy. So far I've got Let's Get it On [for my, um, hoez--haha], Lady Marmalade [for the AGDs], Santeria [for the co-workers], and Dancing Queen and Girls Just Wanna Have Fun [for the female friends]. My default ringtone is ESPN Sportscenter's theme...why? I don't know.

Haven't got a cell phone with ringtones yet... but I know for a fact if I get one, one of them ringtones has gotta be 'The James Bond Theme'! :) Haven't figured out which other tunes yet for other ringtones.

i alternate between "Rebel Yell," "The Inspector Gadget Theme," and "The Pink Panther Theme"

I have one of those cell phones where I can compose my own rings. During Christmas, my ring was the Chipmunks' "Christmas, Christmas Time Is Here"....lol

My ringtone for when my parents call is the Simpsons theme, an my ringtone for everything else is Buffalo Soldier.

My cell phone sounds like... a cell phone. You can definitely pick it out in the crowd these days..

My cell phone is ringer is ESPN Sportscenter. :D But then again, I am obsessed with Hockey. Season ticket holder to our local AHL team for four years running! (Basically, every sport but NBA, Nascar, and GOLF)

My best friend is always asking me why I am single. He says that it is crazy that some guy hasn't snapped me up yet. :rolleyes: I love beer, sports, and ESPN. I don't understand it either. I just tell him that the right guy hasn't clocked me upside the head yet to tell me blondie!!! I am your man!! :p

When I first got my cell phone, my parents freaked out with all the ring tones..

And they they finally gave in and got cell phones for themselves, they freaked out with all the ring tones..

My dad made the comment that "Phones should ring, not sing" :p

As for my phone, I have "Just Can't Get Enough" by Depeche Mode (for Paul), "Roll Out" by Ludacris (For my Westward Hos!), and the Pacman theme as a general ring tone.

The ringtone thing is something I've been on a kick about for a week.

For those of you w/Sprint, try 3guploads.com. Theirs are free and it's only 2 cents a kb from sprint so it's pretty cheap.

I have Sprint and I thought it was more expensive than that. Hmmmm. I just tried going to 3guploads.com and it isn't working. Is it just me?

fyi, the show is now on nick at night at either 4 or 4:30 am, i'm not sure which..keep voting people, im still torn!

I like "We've Got the Beat", but you have to remember I'm a leftover remnant from the 80's :)

On my phone, I have the Pitt fight song and my husband has Anchors Aweigh on his. We're just a couple of ole' dorks I guess!

I really thought I was the only person who remembered the lyrics to that song! My roommate was laughing at me the other day when she saw Scott Baio on something and I started singing it... :)

I called Sprint yesterday too to find out and they said 2 cents a kb. I don't have the PCS vision service but I thought it was more, too. I made the guy repeat himself like 3 times. And he said if the website is free then the download is 2 cents a kb.

'we've got the beat' is the best one. On my phone (although i am sort of sick of them now) I got 'mission: impossible', 'get your freak on', and 'the simpsons'. :D

I think "we got the beat" would be great, at least around here I don't hear that one much. As for my phone I've got the theme to the Battlestar Galactica series. So far I've only had one person recognize what it was - surprised the heck out of me when he asked me if that was Battlestar.

I don't have a cell phone, so all of this is confusing to me. Are y'all saying that in addition to paying for each call you make or recieve, you also have to pay just to have the phone ring? That seems like a rip-off to me....:confused:

All you have to pay for is to download the ringtone. Once you have downloaded the ringtone, you don't have to pay anything else :)

Mine is La Bamba. Gets a chuckle from people everytime my phone rings.
A friend of mine has Biggie's 'Big Papa' for his ring tone. It sounds so cool. I want to switch my ring tone to that one except Sprint charges you everytime you download a new one. :mad:

Definately get "Charles in Charge" . I was in dire love with that guy growing up. Though i have it's a small world" disney ring tone. I also have Uncle Cracker "should be walking on the moon". But," we got the beat" ....dam i forgot who the go gos were for a moment.

I get mine from Ringtonejukebox.com. It's $2 a tone, but in all honesty your not going to find many if any free ones on the web except for your carriers' site. I have T-mobile. Love the service but your megatones (polyphonic) kinda suck. I have currently on my phone
