Which religion do you fit best in?

http://www.selectsmart.com/RELIGION/

According to the SelectSmart.com Belief System Selector, my #1 belief match is ROMAN CATHOLIC. http://www.SelectSmart.com/imagelinks/pope.jpg

According to the SelectSmart.com Belief System Selector, my #1 belief match is Mahayana Buddhism.

AchtungBaby80 02-26-2003 10:23 PM

OK...it's a tie between Prod and Quaker. (Quaker???? Where'd that come from?)

aephi alum 02-27-2003 12:13 AM

My #1 belief match is Reform Judaism. I am a Reform Jew. Coincidence? I think not. ;)

sugar and spice 02-27-2003 12:49 AM

Mine was Reform Judaism too, followed by Unitarian Universalist . . . interesting.

ladybug1116 02-27-2003 01:05 AM

Interesting quiz! Oddly enough it came up as #1 Mormons, #2 Liberal Protestants #3 Reform Judaism

I was raised Catholic! (although do currently identify with a Protestant Church)...my boyfriend's mom and sister would be happy that Judaism was #3 ;)

Kevin 03-02-2003 02:07 AM

I'm matched best with Mahayana Buddhism.

I'm also:
1. Mainline to Liberal Christian Protestants (100%)
2. Orthodox Quaker (95%)
3. Eastern Orthodox (93%)
4. Roman Catholic (93%)

And I'm actually #4..

DigitalAngel126 03-02-2003 01:29 PM

Unitarian Universalist

http://www.SelectSmart.com/imagelinks/unitar.jpg

Which is what I really am! Cool!

Cluey 03-02-2003 01:40 PM

My matches were Quaker and Mainline to Conservative Christian. I never knew I had quaker-like tendencies.

Things that make you go hmm...

jonsagara 03-02-2003 03:21 PM

http://www.SelectSmart.com/imagelinks/sechum.jpg

Secular Humanist.

(IOW, atheist)

ZTAngel 03-02-2003 06:11 PM

At 100%, I fit best with Reform Judaism which is what I am. Figures.

I have never considered myself to be religious in any way. I think a lot of what you grow up with and the morals your parents provide you with will determine what religious category you best fit in with.

Surprisingly, at 98% and 94%, I fit in with Liberal Quakers ( )
and Mainline to Liberal Christian Protestants.

Lisa Fishman 03-02-2003 06:38 PM

100% Reform Judaism is what it said for me. I am a Reform Jew in real life as well. Second, it chose Bahai Faith.

valkyrie 03-04-2003 02:48 PM

100% Mahayana Buddhism.

Rounding out my top five are Unitarian Universalism, Theraveda Buddhism, Neo-pagan and Hinduism.

xo_kathy 03-04-2003 03:08 PM

1. Mainline to Liberal Christian Protestants (100%)

2. Mainline to Conservative Christian/Protestant (95%)

Seeing as I consider myself a relatively liberal Presbyterian, I guess the results make sense!

Peaches-n-Cream 03-04-2003 08:07 PM

My top ten:
1._ Eastern Orthodox (100%)
2._ Roman Catholic (100%)
3._ Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (Mormons) (96%)

5._ Mainline to Conservative Christian/Protestant (90%)
6._ Orthodox Quaker (87%)
7._ Orthodox Judaism (87%)
8._ Seventh Day Adventist (81%)
9._ Islam (79%)
10._Sikhism (71%)

I am actually a Roman Catholic.

valpogal99 03-04-2003 10:13 PM

I came out as - Mainline to Liberal Christian Protestants

At first I was a little skeptical but as I read on, I saw some of me in that area... plus I was raised Methodist and went to a Lutheran College... hmm, something to think about.

AOX81 03-05-2003 11:35 AM

White_Chocolate 03-05-2003 12:24 PM

And people wonder why I sport a 'mogan' David around my neck

My results were

Reform Jew

greeklawgirl 03-05-2003 12:38 PM

My #1 belief match is Eastern Orthodox, which is what I am. Rounding out the top three were Roman Catholic and Orthodox Quaker. :)

I agree with ZTA Angel, though. For most people, I think how they were raised will determine which belief system they fit in best with. A lot of people don't critically think about religion anymore...they just go along with what's familiar.

OUlioness01 03-05-2003 03:52 PM

1. Mainline to Conservative Christian/Protestant (100%)
2. Mainline to Liberal Christian Protestants (97%)
3. Eastern Orthodox (90%)
4. Roman Catholic (90%)
5. Orthodox Quaker (88%)

I'm a Roman Catholic.....i guess all that parochial schooling didn't make me have beliefs completely inline with the church

DWAlphaGam 03-07-2003 11:09 AM

My top ten...

1. Neo-Pagan (100%)
2. Unitarian Universalism (98%)
3. Liberal Quakers (95%)
4. New Age (95%)
5. Reform Judaism (85%)
6. Mainline to Liberal Christian Protestants (78%) Click
7. Mahayana Buddhism (77%)
8. Bahá'í Faith (75%)
9. Secular Humanism (69%)
10. Sikhism (67%)

After reading the top 2 explanations, I would say I'm closer to Unitarian Universalism than Neo-Pagan. In real life, I'm agnostic.

AlphaGamDiva 03-23-2003 03:57 PM

interesting

my top ten:
mainline to conservative christian/protestant-100%
orthodox quaker (...eh...?!)
mainline to liberal christian protestant
mormon
orthodox judaism
islam
7th day adventist
eastern orthodox
reform judaism
roman catholic

kinda weird...i was completely raised southern baptist, but have found myself more of a non-denominational christian...i actually thought i would be more a liberal christian, but this is pretty accurate, i guess.

Glitter650 03-24-2003 01:47 AM

I'm mayahana Buddhism... second is Liberal quakers then mainline to liberal prostetant( which isn't suprising since I attended a presbyterian church for most of my Jr. high and High school years)
I'm kinda suprised that I fit in with Buddhism... although I really don't know that much about their beliefs to know if I should be suprised that I may hold some of the same beliefs goes to show that maybe we hold some stereotypes in our minds with out even knowing we may have some common beliefs !

SilverTurtle 03-24-2003 04:19 PM

My #1 match was Mayahana Buddhism. Other high ones were Orthodox Quaker, Liberal Protestant (what I probably really am if I had to choose) & Taoism (which is actually something I follow a lot of philosophy of).

Neo-Pagan came in at 100%, followed closely by Buddism (96%), and Unitarianism(90%)...

Yowza! All this time I'd thought that I was just a nice Methodist girl from the Midwest...

Fun Quiz!

Lady Pi Phi 03-30-2003 07:29 AM

I am a Liberal Quaker...apparently.

Silverblue 03-30-2003 05:12 PM

1. Mainline -- Liberal Christian Protestants (100 percent)
I'm a journalist (there's your liberal) and Methodist (there's your mainline Christian Protestant).

2. Mainline -- Conservative Christian Protestant (85 percent)
I was raised Southern Baptist, most of my relatives are still Southern Baptist, and I live in the Bible Belt.

3. Orthodox Quaker (75 percent)
I'm going to have to click on the link to browse books related to this one. Now I'm intrigued.

recentASAalum 04-08-2003 12:38 AM

I'm 100% liberal quaker.... I'm not even sure what that is... I remember studying the Quakers in history, but I didn't know they still existed...

thesweetestone 04-11-2003 01:15 AM

Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (Mormons) 100%

5. Reform Judaism (76%)

funny!

Allie 04-27-2003 02:31 PM

This was REALLY interesting, since both of my parents were raised in the Catholic church. My mother was VERY STRICT, my dad on the other hand was more or less forced to go to church and as a teen his family became Methodist, and I was eventually raised in a BAPTIST church....

1. Reform Judaism (100%)
2. Orthodox Judaism (91%)
3. Islam (89%)
4. Bahá'í Faith (82%)
5. Liberal Quakers (76%)
6. Sikhism (75%)

cash78mere 04-27-2003 04:17 PM

MSSTCY1 05-04-2003 07:48 PM

Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (Mormons) 100%

I'm actually Roman Catholic, but my score was only 54% for that... oops!

BirthaBlue4 05-05-2003 05:11 PM

I'm a Quaker.
