No. of states
I'm pretty sure there is no NPC sorority with a chapter in every US state (or for that matter in every Canadian province). So what sorority has the most states/provinces/territories represented? Currently active undergrad chapters, to be precise.
AXD has 39 states represented (if I counted right), which I am sure isn't the highest. |
Alpha Gam has 36 states and 5 Canadian provinces represented! :)
|
48 states and 1 province in Canada
|
I think Tri Delta just tops AXiD with 40 states and one Canadian province.
|
Delta Gamma has chapters in 42 states and 3 Canadian provinces, if i remember correctly. California has the most with 18 chapters !!!
|
Chapters of Beta Theta Pi have been founded in 44 States, the District of Columbia, and 4 Canadian Provinces.
Ohio has the most chapters with 15 (not all active). |
By my count AOP currently has active chapters in 32 states and 3 provinces.
Chapters have been chartered in 39 states and 4 provinces. No chapters chartered in AK, CT, HI, ND, NH, NJ, NM, NV, SD, VT or WY (or DC). CT, NJ, NM & NV do have alumnae chapters though. |
KKG has chapters in all states except Hawaii, Alaska, North Dakota, South Dakota, Maine, Vermont, Nevada, Delaware, and Rhode Island. So that makes 41 of the 50 states!
|
KKG also has 4 chapters in Canada, but I'm not sure if it's 3 or 4 Provinces.
|
Chartered in 48 states and 4 Canadian Provences. Not all of them are still active. I think we don't have a chapter in Wyoming and Alaska.
|
Chi Omega has chapters in 40 states. We also have one in DC, so if you want to count that as a "state" then 41! None in Canada yet, unfortunately.
|
If I'm counting correctly, Kappa Alpha Theta has chapters in 42 states and 2 Canadian provinces (Ontario and Alberta).

Alpha Phi has collegiate chapters in 4 Canadian provinces, 35 states, and 1 chapter in the District of Columbia.
|
If I'm correct, Gamma Phi Beta has chapters in 35 states and 2 Canadian provinces (Ontario and British Columbia).
|
According to our national website (and sisters correct me if I counted wrong), Zeta Tau Alpha is represented in 39 states (including DC as a state) and in Manitoba, Canada.
|
Alpha Delta Pi has chapters in 36 states (including DC), and 3 Canadian Provinces.

KKG is represented in 3 provinces. (Ontario has two chapters)
Though there used to be a chapter in Manitoba. |
I think DC should count.
Does any sorority have a chapter in a Canadian territory? |
No Territorial Chapters
According to Canadiangreeks.com, no organizations have chapters in Canadian territories. The only provinces with chapters of International NPC organizations are BC, Alberta, Manitoba, Ontario, Quebec and Nova Scotia.
|
Pi Phi is represented in 42 states and 2 Canadian Providences.
|
Re: Sororities in Canadian territories...
I don't think there is a degree granting university in any of the territories, which would explain there not being any sororities there. |
Kappa Kappa Iota
My NPC sorority has chapters in more than 30 states, and Kappa Kappa Iota has multiple chapters in each of 25 states. Not bad for not being founded until 1921!
|
Delta Zeta
Delta Zeta currently has chapters in 38 states and one in Canada.
If you count the ones that have closed, we had chapters in 5 other states. We have never chartered a chapter in AK, DE, HI, ID, MT, SD, VT or WY...at least not that I'm aware of! |
