If I recall correctly Cream. You said you were going to show up last time and stood everyone up lol. Kept us waiting around for you for hours. :)

Depending on the date, i'd be down. I need to get out of hicksville.

as i said in the other thread..i could possibly be down..but i'm pretty sure the purpose of starting the new thread was to get new people interested..but i digress :)

Okay, we have six people. I don't think we can legitimately do this for less than ten, and we really should have more than that if folks are willing (even if those six are REALLY cool). Anyone else up for it?

Depends on the date. I'll be in NYC for a week in April.

Your best bet is to just throw out some dates and see what people say, and then pick one.

Ok - here's the deal. I produce a standup comedy show at a bar in NYC wednesday and thursday nights. I spoke to the managers/owners, and if we want to meet up before a show, for $5 a head we get $2 beers for an hour beforehand and admission to the show (which is normally $10). Are people interested? And if so, how many people can do March 26th or 27th?

I'll be in Mexico . . . but that shouldn't deter ya, even though it will be much less fun if I am not there.

chances are a weeknight won't work for most people.

i'm definitely not into comedy.

weekdays won't work for me.

Any more ideas?

Considering how hard my suggestion was shot down, I'm passing the buck to someone else.

why don't we just meet up at a random bar for drinks like early on in the night. then we can decide to stay or go depending on the vibe. i can name some places if we need (no irish stuff though!);)

That sounds good. I think that a Friday or Saturday night would be the best.

I like Irish pubs like Connelly's and PJ Clarke's, but it's not required. :)

Steve H. the comedy club sounded fun, but it was on a week night so that was kind of difficult.

So where and when to do this gathering? Friday or Saturday night? April 11th or 12? April 18th or 19th? A bar in midtown Manhattan or downtown or uptown? A club?

actually, the irish comment was more about irish bands...had to be there i guess....i love connellys!!!

the 12th is my birthday...i'll probably be in the city celebrating my 25th so we can all meet up that day if you want. any day is fine with me, as long as it's a weekend

Did you go to Connelly's on Black 47 night? I have never been there for live music.

BBQ's is fun though.

April 11th at Sutton Place. Does that sound good? It's on Second Avenue in the 50's. They have a roof top bar. :)
