Bay Area

I know there have been topics on California before, but I was curious who here is from the Bay Area or going to school in the Bay Area.

I personally am from Shallow Alto...oops I mean Palo Alto...But I go to school at Northern Arizona University.

So anybody else?

ladyj39 02-18-2003 04:06 PM

I was born in San Francisco and moved to suburbia (San Bruno) in third grade. But, I went to SF public schools all my life. I lived in Daly City for a year, but now I'm back in SB.

My hometown is right by Corpus Christi, TX, which is also called the "Bay Area"

Does that count? ;) :p

I live in Palo Alto right now! Went to Stanford, and I live over in midtown Palo Alto (right off Middlefield Road, near the Safeway). Living with four of my fraternity buddies in a rented house, and I work in the City, so I take the train from the California Avenue station. I like living in the South Bay, but I plan to move to San Francisco after my housemates graduate this spring (I have had enough of surburbia!!!) :D

I know what you mean about surburbia there...Oh and when I visit my parents I live right by Cal Ave...

I'm from San Diego, but 75% of the guys in my house are from "A City By A Body Of Water"

My father was in the military, and I spent four years (1991-1995) in Marin County...now I'm in the Chesapeake Bay area...

This probably doesn't count, but I lived in Daly City for two years. Growing up I usually spent my summers in the Bay Area as my mom's family are scattered about in Union City/Hayward/DC/SC/SJ/Marin [yeah, there's a lot of em]. One of my HS boyfriends also went to Riordan. Damn he was hot.

OMG...I haven't heard "Queerdan" since HS!

I was fortunate enough to know some boys from St. Ignatius. They were always a good time. ;)

*SIGH* I think a visit to the Bay soon is in order!

What is it about Catholic School Boys? I had a few friends from Sacred Heart too. One of my best friend's boyfriend was a wrestler at Riordan.

MMMMMmmmmmm...wrestlers...Sorry. Way OT... :p

Whoa...wrestlers at Riordan. My high school best friend had a 'fling' with one of them our senior year. And damn, he was yummy.

nauadpi 02-19-2003 07:26 PM

For those who are from the bay area where did you go to high school? Just thought I would add that to the swing of things here...

I personally went to Palo Alto Senior High School...aka Paly...

chideltjen 02-19-2003 07:37 PM

moreau catholic high

... i still get jokes about being a catholic school girl even tho i went to public school for a majority of my life. and no i never had to wear a uniform. ;)

Unregistered- 02-19-2003 07:37 PM

If I had stayed in the Bay Area like I was supposed to for high school, I probably would have gone to Mercy High. That was like an unwritten rule for most of the females of my family who live there.

ladyj39 02-19-2003 09:10 PM

I went to public school in SF. Good old Washington in the Richmond district. I went to Marina Middle School too...

OTW- I think if we ever hung out, I have a feeling we would get along great! We seem to think alike... :D My boyfriend is a wrestler and so are most of his friends ;)

NinjaPoodle 02-19-2003 10:11 PM

Well, back in the day.....I was at Balboa. Go Bucs!

If I had gone to private school like I wanted, I would have gone to SF University High or Urban.

chideltjen 02-20-2003 02:59 AM

ninjapoodle: what are you majoring in at A of A? My cousin goes there and is in advertising.

I was thinking the same thing!

It's funny because I met those Riordan boys in HS on a weeklong retreat my high school always does with them every summer. I still have their uniform sweater in my closet. I never wear it anymore, but it's still nice to have. I have a bunch of old Riordan shirts that I still wear to sleep though!

It's really funny that Pacficia is known for fog, but it's been nothing but sunshine lately! My boyfriend lives in Pacifica (by Sharp Park) and I love the town! I have been to the Fog Fest the past three years now.

I'm not from the Bay area, but will be moving there in a few months and cannot wait to get up there!

My best friend grew up and went to high school in the Bay though; she went to Marin Catholic in San Rafael (pretty sure it's in San Rafael- in that area at least) and lives in Novato still.
