From the website for Northwestern it says they had recruitment for Spring last month. I was hoping to be initiated before the Founders Day celebration on March 1st but I don't know if that is possible.

It says in the letter that I am supposed to let them know in writing and that I will meet with an alumnae education/membership person prior to initiation. But I think I will call the officer I know (the national VP: Alumnae) because I have a lot of questions and also because I want to upgrade the badge.

Am I allowed to order a DG sweatshirt now?

Here's another cool thing, my beautiful daughter (age 3) will now be a DG, Pi Phi, ZTA, KKG and Theta legacy. Talk about a quintuple threat!

I am a student at Northwestern, and except for two or three chapters which COB, we ONLY have spring rush - so you should initiate with the 2003 pledge class right around the march 1 founders day!

This is a terrific thread by an Alpha Phi, that is very detailed in its explanation! Just use "DG" instead of "AF" (which would give you Alpha Phi, instead of Delta Gamma!)

Could it be that Marie has yet to be initiated? The Kappas at USC recently hired our first House Director. She is a DG and said that they initiate in the evening. I am back from initiation just now. Whew! It was loooong! But it is done now! I am now a proud member of Sigma chapter! There were 46 of us going through at the same time. Plus Sigma does some of its own things and so that added a lot to the time. But they were also very sweet and very nervous. I mean, they had a national officer and an alumna initiate at the same time. We had dessert afterwards and the girls were so nice they included me in some of the items they gave to their new members. Really sweet stuff.

Since my badge is on order, I got a recognition pin (little anchor) from my sponsor and so I am official!!!

My alumnae chapter gave me cards and gifts and even decorated my car. I am exhausted and I have to go to work tomorrow!!!
