Today, as I tackled the big, dirty laundry mountain in my closet, I read the sayings on all of my AOII t-shirts. It brought to mind a question....

If you could make a quote (new or one existing) for a t-shirt, what quote best exemplifies your AOII experience? Is that quote different for your alum experience?

I think this is the best one for me because I knew on the first day of parties that I wanted AOII.

I knew right from the very start, that I had AOII in my heart :p

From the outside looking in you can never understand it.
From the inside looking out you can never explain it.

Put the first line in a half-circle and arch it on top, then the 2nd line the same way at the bottom, then have a couple of cute pandas playing between our AOII letters in the middle.

Would make a darned cute bid-day or convention shirt if I do say so myself <VBG>

I have been trying to post on GC for weeks but have been unable to do so due to technical difficulties. I am hoping it will work this time!

My favorite quote that exemplifies AOII for me was actually one that was printed up and given out at one of the first meetings I went to as a pledge:

“The bond that links your true family is not one of blood, but of respect and joy in each other's life. Rarely do members of one family grow up under the same roof.”

Also, a cute one I like for bid day shirts is:

"Girls don't come to college to find husbands, they come to find their bridesmaids!"

I always wished I'd had a shirt with that on it! :)

Hello... I am new to the forum from the Alpha Theta chapter at Coe College in Cedar Rapids, IA!


Here is a great quote from our 2003 recruitment Bid Day shirts:

Not really an AOII experience, but still cute.

When a boy left for college, his dad gave him some advice: "You can date every sorority but make a AOII your wife. You can party with the Phi Mu's and you can kiss a Sigma too, but when it's time to marry only a AOII will be right for you. We know that you'll enjoy your years and give them all a spin, but never buy a ring unless a ruby is in her pin and a rose is her flower of choice. During your years at college you'll go from one suite to another, but take advice from your wise ole dad and bring an ALPHA OMICRON PI home to your mother!"

i love my bid day shirt

All women were created equal until 1897

Our bid day shirts this year were adorable. Below a picture of 5 little girls laughing, it says, "There are some people in life who make you laugh a little louder, smile a little brighter, and live a little better."

Since I was a recruitment counselor, my little "shirted" me when I came through the door and I got a size too big. I was really upset because I LOVE this quote. However, after rummaging around the house a little, I found one in my size and I'm quite excited :)

I'd love to see a picture of this if you're comfortable posting. Would love to share this one with my chapters!
