How cold is it....
Driving home, 1am... Michigan.
Temperature in my car read a whopping 7 degrees!!! My body is aching and my fingers hurt so bad from the cold that I can barely type. Walking to class is hard cuz as soon as you get inside your face is frozen in one facial expression and any body part that wasn't covered up is in total pain. Yep... it's freaking cold here in Detroit. What's it like in your neighborhood? |
with windchill it is (NO LIE) between -20 and -35 degrees out.
that SUCKS. i hate the cold, can't wait to move to hawaii.:o |
It's been pretty cool here lately :p
It's 11pm at the current temp is 60. With the windchill it's 59. But they are expecting to get into the low 50s tonight.
Good thing my mom just got me another down blanket! :p:p |
when I went to work yesterday morning with the windchill it was 1 degree below zero... and it's supposed to get colder... I live in Illinois, for gosh sakes... not Alaska... it's way too cold to walk to class here but I'm stuck doing it anyways!!!

You guys are going to kill me...but for the past three days or so the state high has been 70 degrees. Early in the morning it's been 60 ish or so...and I've been sleeping with 2 down comforters.
At school I'm wearing 3 or 4 layers! I know it's nowhere close to cold as where you are...but you don't understand...it's 80 degreed 95% of the year here...so I'm freezing my ass off!!! |
according to weatherbug it is 6 degrees right now, but with the windchill its -3

Wind chill makes it -4 here today. And as they keep saying on the news, it's the coldest day we've had in the DC area in 7 years :(

Mostly cloudy with a high of 65*. But, tomorrow the high will only be 48* (but sunny). It's supposed to be one of the coldest mornings in years as well, like 25* (burr!).

The high today is listed as being a whopping 7 degrees! I really can't take this cold. It's been like this for a few days. I live in an hold house, and I woke up this morning I think some of my pipes are frozen- the cold water on the sink the bathroom doesn't work, and the tub wouldn't drain from my shower. Also, there's no way to really dress for this weather. Especially when all your clothes are dirty and you can't do laundry b/c the washing machine is broken (god i hate my landlord) and you don't have a couple hours to get to the laundrymat. Sorry, cold weather makes me whiny :p |

I walked outside this morning to start my car, and my wet hair froze. :eek:
According to weather.com, it is currently 11° but it feels like -4°. The high today will be 15° and the low will be 6°. It's sad that I'm excited about it possibly getting near 40° next week. I hate the winter. :( |
In Birmingham it's currently 17 degrees with a windchill of 4. The high for today will hopefully get up to 28! And it's snowing right now too.

Right now it's about 60 degrees which isn't bad. Tonight the low will be 24 degrees. Brrrrrrrr! That's freezing for Florida! My poor sister is at UF and it's supposed to be 16 degrees there tonight.

At 8am this morning the temperature was -4 and the winchill was around -28 to -30.

This morning with the wind it was -41. At this teperature it doesn't matter if you are talking celcius or farenheight because this is where the two scales are equal. On the radio this morning we were told that within five minutes exposed skin could be frostbitten and within ten the first stages of hypothermia begin to set in.

Well .. So. AZ is cool... its currently (at Noon) 68, low tonight will be 47 and high tomorrow 76 ... I just wish it would rain..

It's in the 40's here in Denver today. Yesterday we didn't crack 20 all day. The day before that it was nearly 60 and I took the dog to the park. Colorado... if you don't like the weather give it 15 minutes.

On the weather report last night, instead of "cloudy with a chance of snow" or "partly sunny," the report listed yesterday's weather as "cold, so cold." My friends and I couldn't stop laughing over that one. Of course it's true when the temperature hasn't risen above 0 in the past three or four days, but still . . .

Right now it is 11 degrees out, going down to 0 degrees overnight. With the wind chill it's -10.
There was no heat in my office today!! Apparently the oil pipes froze. All day, everyone was walking around wrapped up in their scarves and, in some cases, coats. If that wasn't bad enough, I sit near the door = nice blast of cold air every few minutes :( |

I think the washer fluid in my truck froze. What should I do? :confused:

Remove the resevoir that has the frozen fluid in it, and bring it inside (put it in the sink). Let it defrost and drain. Park the car in a heated garage and let the hoses defrost. If this isn't a possibility, it may require you remove the hoses as well and bring them inside. Hopefully the expanding ice hasn't cracked them. this should solve your problem. If this isn't a possibility, you cantry(thogh it's really not reccomended) using boiling water to flush the system---pour it through, but make sure you drain all the water out before it freezes again. Hopefully this helps.

Somehow i feel like the ONLY GC-er that actually is LOVING this biting cold...i'm up in MA w/ KappaTarzan and totally enjoying the wind chill in the negatives!
I'm one of those psychos that absolutely LOATHES the summer and heat... *now i'm expectantly waiting for the strange looks from the rest of you....* hahaha |
It's been warmer in Denver than Miami a few days recently. We're having an unusually warm winter.
