Spring 2003 Recruitment results!
Hello Phi's
Just wanted to pass along great news: Gamma Nu - Miami of Ohio took quota of 55 AMAZING new members including 3 legacies!!! (I know I was there for bid day!!) Delta - Cornell - took quota of 37 outstanding new members!! Both chapters posted stronger returns than the year before. So as we in the NE like to say: HAIL DELTA! |
Whoo hoo!! Thats awesome!!! Our formal recruitment begins a week from friday!!! I'll keep ya'll posted!!!

Wow!!! Looks like recruitment is off to a WONDERFUL start! Congrats to those chapters who took quota, and GOOD LUCK to those who are about to start the rush process! Go get 'em gals!

That is so awesome! I can't even imagine what it would be like to rush so many girls. Our entire chapter only has like 28 girls. Our formal rush is going on this week, and it has been amazing so far, we got 15 girls out to our activity last night and they are all way cute! I'm really excited to see how everything works out. Ili, I KNOW you all will make quota (and then some!) I have heard so many excellent things about the chapter. I am so proud of you all for all you have done! Hello, you almost took the amount of quota during informal recruitment! Way to go my IB gals!!

We gave out 11 bids last night!! That is SOO GOOD for us considering we only have about 30 members right now! They are the absolute cutest girls ever too, I am so excited to see how everything works out! :)

St. Mary's got 10 beautiful new members. We were 4 shy of making quota but we're going to COB pretty soon and there are several girls who were unable to go through formal recruitment but are interested in us so CROSS YOUR FINGERS!!!

Here's another update: Beta (Northwestern) matched quota of 41 new members!! Gamma Zeta (University of Puget Sound) matched 21 outstanding new members (quota was 19). Way to go ladies! Eta Iota (University of Pennsylvania) pledged 40 amazing new members! Awesome job! I am so excited for all of our deferred rushing chapters. LD |
Iota Delta in Rhode Island COBed 21 women to bring us to ceiling at 85. We had over 50 women show up the first night! :D

Quota was 21...not sure what other groups matched. Quota was down which I am sure was disappointing to the chapter, usually they pledge 30++ women. This was thier first year with deferred recruitment. |
Eta Theta Chapter at San Francisco State University is going through an informal COB recruitment and they have extended nine bids.
I am very happy to announce that seven have already been accepted and the other two should be accepted by the end of the week, bringing our chapter to house total for the first time in about six years! :D I am so happy for my girls!!! |
Yay SFSU! I met one of the Phis from SFState at Regional this weekend (and their amazing advisor) so I'm especially happy to hear this great news!

I'm very, VERY happy to report that the Theta Zeta chapter has two spots left (the other bids will probably be given out by the end of the week) and then we will be at total. We have not been at total for a long time. The good news is that we are only losing 3 sisters to graduation this spring and summer (that's total), so this means that our chapter is very excited about formal recruiment in the fall! And I've heard that there's a legacy coming here!!!!!!!!!!!!

So as of now we have 9 new girls, but I couldn't be happier. I know that they will contribute so much to our chapter, and I am so excited to see how the rest of this semester goes!

I have been so bogged down with my paralegal program and motherhood and other traumatic things in life... does anyone know how the California chapters faired with spring recruitment? i have not heard from anyone in my area and i was hoping some had heard from the CSU chapters........
