Hi Ladies

I was looking over our board and I did not see anything like a good news thread for us. I thought everyone could write about their good news.

My good news is I ran into this guy that I have a crush on he was so sweet and gave me the biggest hug. He even missed me over break. I just might ask him to my formal. It might break my dating slump.

I am stuck on Phi Sig, Hooray for the Yellow and Blue

Im talking to the love of my life more now ;)

Im going back to school at the end of this week!

Finally I can post some really good news on here. We've been worried because my mom found a lump in her abdomen about a year ago and didn't tell anyone until it got really big. Anyway the doctors have been running all sorts of tests and mom got her test results back today. It isn't cancer!!!! Yeah and thank God. In fact the doctor can't even feel the lump anymore. He told my mom that she must have had a lot of people praying for her (she did) because that is his only explanation for it not being there anymore. So anyway, that's my fantastic news.

i'm taking a class on wednesday nights. i'm considering on converting to judaism but my friend suggested that i learn about it before i make such a big decision.

i'm in love with a new guy every day. so if you see a new name pop up, don't worry. it's only for a couple of days and then, ti dies down.

i was called a b* the other day. it sounded really great.

i love justin timberlake again. it might change though because he's thikig out getting with britt-britt. if there was any way to get on my bad side, it would be dating her.

i want to transfer to a bigger chapter. . .so i'm doing my reasearch. anyone got any ideas?

i love pi kappa alpha today. they all gave me a big hug today and called me their 'dreamgirl' when the tkes walked up to hand me a TKE button.

I have some good news today :) :

I am going to move in with one of my sisters next fall. It is a 4 bedroom apartment; there will be 2 other people but they're cool though. I was going to move in with 2 other sisters but they're a little on the party animal side and I really need to study. There's a time for work and a time for play.

Once a Phi Sig, Always a Phi Sig

I am moving in with my best friend, who is also my favorite sister, at the end of March! We get along so well...same major, boyfriend's are from the same fraternity!!! I swear, she's the other half of my brain! I can't wait.

Also, my boyfriend had surgery on his ACL last week, and he is finally starting to feel better! This is wonderful news considering I have been taking care of him while working 72 hours a week. Needless to say, I am finally getting some sleep!

Yeah to all the sisters out there with good news. Have a wonderful week and keep your spirits high!:cool:

I have just fantastic news

The cutest guy(my crush) in the whole world just gave me a ride home from class, it's snowing and I didn't want to get cold and wet going home. He's such a sweet guy and I still want to take him to formals.

Here's my good news!

The boyfriend (the one I had issues with) and I made a huge breakthrough last night and things look like they're on the up and up!!

And I only have one and a half days more work until spring break.....gotta love teaching!!

Well my mom had surgery yesterday for Breast Cancer. They just did a lumpectomy and also took a couple of lymphnodes. According to the doctors it looks like they got all the cancer so she won't need a double masectomy. YEAH

Now we just need to help her make it through 6 weeks of radiation treatment for 5 days a week then i'll really be cheering.

Yeah! I filled out an Alumna Volunteer Interest form on PhiSigmaSigma.org and got an email. I'm going to be assigned a housing corporation to work with! Yeah!

Still no word on the Field Staff application, though. I really need to know, because I've been having other interviews, etc. I even emailed Lisa Daly and asked, she's usually really good about responding to email, but I haven't heard ANYTHING!!!! It would be nice if they would decide soon and let us know!!! UGH, job hunting sucks! Stay in school as long as possible!

My good news is Thursday will be my birthday and I am going to have great time celebrating it.

I have good news too, on Wednesday I have a job interview up at CSU Channel Islands. The person I'm interviewing with it my former bosses son. I'm really excited but nervous too. If I get the job I'm not sure what I'm going to do as there are a lot of cons along with the pros to accepting.

Oh other good news, PhiSigScooby and I are going to Vegas this coming weekend. WooHoo.

We painted the signs for our second night. It's awesome. All but one turned out great.

My good news is that I finally finished and turned in work from a class in Fall 01, now I just have to wait to hear back from the teacher. But I'm one step closer to being done, done, done!

For my internship today I have to attend a meeting with and I get to meet my school's new president. I think that's really cool. Because not to many people have met him yet.

Interview
 

Well, I had my interview yesterday at CSU Channel Islands. Think I did fairly well. I met with a committee first then had an interview with the director. I'm one of three people being interviewed. I just don't know if I can afford to move up there if I'm offered the job. Oh well, I'll see what happens if i'm offered the job.

It's a nice little campus that just opened up last year, I kind of wish that Phi Sig would contact them about opening up a chapter there - especially since they're taking a good size class of freshman this fall. Most of our division is about an hour to two hours away max so we'd all be able to help out getting them colonized. Hey pirepresent want to pass the word on to our extension committee and see if maybe they'll approach the campus?

And for other good news. Tomorrow morning PhiSigScooby, AK Phi Sig, another friend, and I will be on our way to Las Vegas for the weekend. YEAH!!!! I think we all need this weekend after such a tough semester! Wish us all luck and hopefully we'll have another post to add to the good news thread saying we won lots of money!!!!!

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm 90% sure we aren't allowed to contact a campus about expansion. They have to have a panhel which makes the decision to open for expansion, at which time all the NPC orgs are notified.

Unless there is a local interest group - then I think it's a different story. They're allowed to choose which NPC group they want to affiliate with, as long as that group allows them to.

I'm pretty sure that's the way it works - but hey, if you get the job there, maybe you can work with the Greek advisor (if there is one) to get the scoop, or try to start up an interest group yourself!

Congrats on the interview though, and happy birthday Annice!

It's a brand new campus with no Greek Life what so ever. Fall 2002 was their first class of students admitted. I'm not sure how NPC rules are about the orgs contacting the campus if there isn't any Greeklife there, heck they barely have any clubs there as is. Maybe I'll check at LTS to see what anyone says.

Well the time has finally come for me to post my news!
I've known about it for a few months, my chapter sisters have known since April and I told a couple of you, but now the whole world can know.
lol, it's not that big of news, but still big deal to me.

As of July 1st(canada day, yay!) I am Chapter Key Advsior for Delta Epsilon!

I'm sooo young but the former advisor felt I was the best choice because of my continued involvement with Phi Sig and my willingness to learn all the new stuff happening in Phi Sig.

I just have to say it will be no easy task filling her shoes! Laurie was advisor for 6 years and has been awesome! She was also one of our founding sisters from 1981! She was always there for us as individuals and as a chapter! I love her and I feel that she exemplifies what it means to be a Phi Sig!

Anyway, I've been advisor for 2 days now and already trouble brews...haha! well, not really trouble, just a few bumps in the road!
