Yesterdays game was probably the best game I have ever been to, and i do go to quite a few. The fans stuck by the team and the guys pulled through! It was such and exciting game.

Being born and raised in SF, I'm a huge fan of the RED and GOLD ! Yesterday's game was so nerve-wracking! I was jumping up and down, screaming at the TV during the last couple of plays. My roommate ran out of her room to make sure I was ok! Looking forward to Tampa Bay and Jon Gruden. It will be great if the Niners win because the Bucs were trying to steal Mariucci away at the beginning of the season but he chose to stay in SF!

S.F. will not make it to the Super Bowl. Atlanta wiil get there. Did you guys see the game this past saturday night? they destroy Green Bay 27-7. and they did in the packers's home. :D

According to Mom, I've been a Niners fan ever since I was in the womb! Practically everyone in my mom's family live in the Bay Area--and I consider SF my home away from home!

Packers also were uninspired. They quit their season at halftime of the jets game.

Buchanon will get his wish, he will see McNabb in there. I can't believe Buchanon said he would rather face Feely than McNabb. does he think McNabb has been sitting around the past few weeks?

OTW- If you ever make to the Bay Area, let me know and I'll tell you where he hangs out so you can meet him! My friend (an Alpha Phi at san Jose) works at a bar and he goes in there all the time. I met him once and he seems like a nice guy. (a little cheesy, but he bought us shots! ) ;)

Ooh I think I just met my new best friend!!!

I've got about 20 relatives in San Jose who are trying to get me to come out soon. So the possibility looks good! I'll be sure to let you know!

Hey, whatever dude - as much as I love watching Vick, I love watching him on his ass even more, and the Eagles have the D to do it.

No "QB spy" crap - this isn't Madden 03 - just solid D in his face, and E-A-G-L-E-S

Offense becomes secondary - the Falcons have a great defensive scheme, but bad offensive teams have exploited them (I'm looking at you, T-Bay), so if Reid shuts the Falcons O down, I'm not worried.

I'm a HUGE 49ers fan, but they could have had "the Mooch" and I wouldn't have shed a tear. His uninspired play calling and wimpy finishes leave me crying for something more :(

HOWEVER, although we "stole" the game, I will be wearing all my 49ers gear, place my signed Young/Rice plaque next to me, and wish bad things on the Bucs (which is a bit unfortunate, because I actually like the Bucs a lot, even before Gruden got there).

the niners played an awesome game this past weekend- lol, some of my friends gave up and stopped watching (in the beginning)... It was an amazing game to watch and can't wait til this weekend!

And if the bucs offense does something that the eagles can't, I will freak out. Philly wins it confortably, 35-17.

Other predictions, Steelers 24-21 over the titans, Raiders 27-24 over the jets, and 49ers 13-9 over the bucs.

Ok I will admit that this weekends game is going to be tough against the Bucs..but i'm a forty niner faithful!!! I have faith that they can doit again!
I love that picture of owens! Isnt he great, i know he can be a cocky SOB at times but thats what makes him so exciting to watch.

I beg to differ. While the games will be close, The Titans will prevail over the Steelers and the Michael Vick Show will continue with a Close win over the Eagles:)

I can't wait for the Steelers to go down and get booted out of the playoffs. It'll make my weekend more enjoyable:D

The Raiders will win over the Titans, but the game between Tampa Bay and Philly is a toss-up. I Think Tampa wiil win because they had the better defense.

In the title games:

I think the raider game will be a mirror image of the one last week. Tenn will keep it close for awhile before Oakland pulls away. The raiders are just too good.

I also think my eagles will win by 10. The defenses are #1 and #2 in the league but Tampa's offensive line is atrocious. Philly has had success running the ball right at Tampa and Brad Johnson has stonefeet and has a noodle arm.

Plus, while the Eagles don't have anyone even nearing the talent of Terrell Owens at receiver, SF showed last week that the Bucs' "vaunted" DBs can be abused in one-on-one - expect a lot of Thrash on corner routes and Pinkston and Mitchell trying to slide in behind the linebackers, as the Bucs will be forced to play a ton of Cover 2 to avoid this disadvantage . . . this also opens the running game . . . LOVE IT

49ers release Mariucci from final year of contract

Steve Mariucci is out as head coach of the San Francisco 49ers.

49ers general manager Terry Donahue told ESPN.com's John Clayton today that Mariucci has been released from the final year of his contract and no longer is the team's head coach.

Sources told Clayton that there were philosophical differences between Mariucci and John York, the owner's representative, about Mariucci's role within the organization. Sources said that Mariucci had been asking for the title of vice president of football operations.

Former Vikings coach Dennis Green and 49ers defensive coordinator Jim Mora Jr. might be candidates to replace Mariucci.

They made a HUGE mistake. I like Denny Green and all, but few have done more with youth than Mariucci...

I feel sorry for Mariucci because He was doing a great job ( he has the fifth winningest record since 1997currently in the NFL) and now He got the shaft.
Dennis Green would do a good job, but I wish he was with Minnesota right now.
