justamom 01-03-2003 09:09 AM

justamom 01-03-2003 02:03 PM

I did think of one more that was pretty cool. I WAS able to name ANY random singer in those songs that come at the end of the movie. (I have a tremendous ear for voices.) I made my FIRST mistake this past Nov. I can't remember who I thought it was, but it was Cheryl Crow... So, I pass my crown.

Note-Most of the movies were popular to semi-popular though some were obscure.

AXJules 01-03-2003 10:28 PM

prospectiverushee 01-03-2003 10:33 PM

I good at making people feel comfortable. People just seem to open up to me

writing

song lyrics- Me and a friend had this game we'd play when we were car pooling. He sing a couple of lines or hum a couple of bars of a song and I'd tell him the name of the song a who sang it. He was pretty impressed with my knowledge(especially on the heavy metal songs and 80's he threw my way). I also have this thing where I hear a couple of bars of a song and I can identify the name of the song and the artist

My area of expertise... hrm....

I suppose technically it's Nutrition/Health/Home Economics.
But I am also have a knack for:
All things stylish
Smiling in a way so that people like me
printing very neatly and legibly
jewelry... not necessarily an ace at selling it, but I know a lot about it
remembering names
drawing cute little people, not stick people but not realistic people either

Ok that's about it... man I could really use some more talent in my life.

Jadey28 01-04-2003 11:38 PM

My area of expertise is in wet chemistry (lab work). I really am not a dork, it's just what I love!

Other areas:

leilanimoon 01-05-2003 08:25 AM

expertise, eh?

if i have enough time and energy, i can create awesome makeovers on myself and friends

choreographing dance routines on the spot

deriving the meaning of most words with a latin/roman root even though i have never studied latin or linguistics(i can decipher what words in english, portugeuse, spanish, french, and italian mean just by thinking of the word in my head and taking it apart by the root)

spelling bee champion

great at conceptualizing projects (travel, business goals, etc) and seeing them to completion

i remember whole conversations, who said what, years after the fact

down-toning

MeLikey 01-05-2003 11:22 AM

-- clothes (was voted "Best Dressed" by my sisters...along those same lines was also voted "Most Likely to Max out her Credit Card", haha)

-- actors and actresses and their credits, I can see a movie or a scene once and I'll just always remember the names of the actors and actresses in it, or I don't even have to see the movie, I'll just see the movie ad or read about it and I'll know everyone in it. I must say I hardly miss when we play the "Movie Game."

-- movie and TV trivia

-- I too have a photographic memory, if I meet you at the bar I will remember your name even if I run into you months later

KSigkid 07-03-2004 10:01 AM

*bump* since someone tried to start a new topic.

I'd say sports and Presidential history are my two main topics of expertise, as well as knowledge of the media. I'm an American History buff as well, but there can be gaps in my expertise on that area.

ETA: Writing as well - I was an award-winning journalist and have always enjoyed writing. It's something I have a talent for and have always been able to do.
