I never say tipsy, that's gay!

I say "I was (gone), (buzzed), (trashed)." But never tipsy......

gosh, you sound bitter because girls can't handle alcohol

nah. . .seriously, i only get drunk when i have amaretto sours and martinis all night long. beer gets me tipsy after 2 of them so if i go past two beers. . .people watch out. . .

actually, tipsy is the ladylike word for a real good buzz
most people don't drink to get drunk. . .like me
i try not to get drunk because i know that i get out of control. . .hmmm. . .except for PIKE TOGA. . .between me and my little we did a case of budweiser and i ended up. . . well, anyway. . .

That's just it...they are girls...a real woman gets DRUNK, SH*TFACED, or F*CKING WASTED!

Tipsy isn't drunk. Drunk isn't f***ing s***faced. Different levels of non-sobriety, that's all.

I do it off of the game "I never":

Sober - name boring things that everyone's done

Tipsy - name more personal things that most have done

Drunk - point out things that you know only one person has done and will either kill you for mentioning OR say something worse that you did

Wasted - tell everyone your own shady experiences...

S***faced - ...whether it's your turn or not

F***ing S***faced - you share nothing but keep drinking because you can't understand a damn word people are saying.

When I think of tipsy, I think of my 77 year old grandmother giggling after her second Makers and water.

I have NEVER used that term to describe myself. I'm either buzzed, really buzzed, drunk, or tanked/smashed. Only twice in my drinking life have I ever hit the "totally f#&*ed up" point.

never really used the word tipsy.
I've used sh*tfaced, smashed, drunk, really good buzz or once i said I'm completely f*cked up.

We also say "got a good buzz", smashed, gone...

I think i use tipsy to describe when i'm a bit buzzed, but i've also lost a bit of my balance....I am not drunk though and I'm not falling all over the place, if i'm drunk, i'll say i'm drunk...
However, i've always been careful about my alcohol consumption....I wouldn't even drink underage, even when i had the opportunity...
and it still doesn't do too much for me.

I've noticed the more Southern you are, the more likely you say "tipsy". All my roommates are from this BFE town in Tennessee and they say "I'm a little tipsy" when they can barely walk.

Every girl I have met from the north have say "I'm f***ing trashed" or "I'm sh*t faced" without a hesitation.....it's quite liberating:)

I like to say that "I'm sloshed" I guess I'm the only one:)

I am guilty of saying tipsy, so KDatUTC, you may be onto something.

I also say I am "warm," or "nice" lol. Sounds better, I dunno, lol.

When I first meet people when I am drunk, I will tell them I am "intoxicated," trying to impress them with my expansive vocabulary, lol.

Depends on my level of drunkeness on whether I even have to tell someone this or not, lol. Sometimes it's pretty obvious.

depending on how much i've had i will either tell everyone i'm drunk (very), intoxicated (moderately/moving towards very) or buzzing. i don't use tipsy that often, but i have been known to say it occasionally

Warm
Happy
Buzzed
Trashed
Poured into a cab
Carried home

I usually stop at buzzed. :)

The sad thing is, when most people describe their Sat. nite it's always "so and so was totally 8 up when...."
