Regional Conferences 2003

Sorors, It's that time again.

SC Region Sorors. The host hotel, Harrah's is already booked.

abaici 12-17-2002 07:57 PM

In Anchorage, Alaska. Average daily temperature during that time of year 56 degrees. Maybe some of this?

I know! Alaska?

I have a cousin who has tried to get some of us to visit her in Alaska. We are intrigued and wary at the same time. Everyone she invited is either from Cali or the South. It's currently 56 degrees here in LA and I am FREEZING! I want to go, but I just realized something. Regionals is expensive! I want to go, but I had not planned for it. I still have a little time.

AKA2D '91 12-17-2002 11:03 PM

Uhhhhhh. Yeah Soror. I guess I was having a Beavis/Butthead moment. :o

Thanks!

abaici 12-18-2002 10:55 AM

No problem Soror

I'm a neo and that caught me off guard. I'm like,"I thought it was next year" as I started looking for my registration papers. Have fun! I am so looking forward to the Leadership Conference in Las Vegas next July!

Soror Steeltrap - Are you planning on going to Alaska? My undergrads are going and want me to go, but I just can't see it happening. I'm looking forward to Leadership in July!

ADivine08 03-24-2003 02:24 PM

I will be attending the SCRC and this will be my first. I believe that Harrah's booked it last room a few days ago. At least that was what they told me as I gave them my card information. I will try and not let my neoness show too much as I make my way through the vendors. We have been told it is like unleashing a baby in a candy store.

See ya there!

Soror Prayerfull,

I have to agree with you. Regionals came upon me too quickly. However, I am pushing more to attend Leadership Conference in July. I've never been to Vegas before. Well, yes I have... I had a layover in Vegas once and played the slot machine outside the terminal. I guess that really doesn't count now does it? :D

Soror Prayerfull, I will not be going to Alaska. I simply didn't have $400 or so to get a flight back in February, when our chapter sent in a group registration. Leadership's looking good. I have a room. :)

PrettyNPearls 03-25-2003 02:55 PM

Soror Steeltrap,

I haven't even purchased a room yet. I better be careful. July will be here before I know it. I was unable to attend last year's conference so I will be making a huge effort to attend this year.

. Can yall give some?

I'm jealous of you Central REgion sorors. Louisville, Ky is so much fun during the Derby festival. I saw a hat on a woman yesterday that I thought would be perfect for the luncheon but I live in SE now.

This is being edited, because the information is soror's BUSINESS only....PROTOCOL!

:o

PLUS we don't know when and where you crossed.

Wonderful1908 03-30-2003 08:57 PM

Guess What? It may have been in Shreveport, but we broke records. There were over 2400 sorors in attendance.

The conference bag and garment bag were THA BOMB! I was pleased with what my Initiating Cluster presented.

Our chapter won 3 of 5 awards! :D
Chapter of the Year- Graduate (Medium)
Outstanding Graduate Basileus (Medium)
Graduate Good Citizen (same person as Outstanding Grad. Bas.)

All of our (my PR committee) work, time, and effort paid off!

I'm ready for Houston.

2005- A change in location. Details later!  :D

Happydaysf91 04-14-2003 10:05 AM

BAGS...

Yes...

Those bags were really, really nice....Kudos to to the hosting chapters. That was excellent.

I hung out with a couple of neos that wore me out (Kodaka and Divine08)...I tell you...I wonder if I ever acted like that ;)

At any rate....if you missed Soror Purnell at the 1st session...you truly missed a 'treat'.

Have a wonderful, blessed day....

Soror Purnell had me rolling. That 1st Session said it all! Did you see her face during the closing session? :o

I passed her and Soror Mavis on the interstate yesterday. We were some waving and blowing fools. :o :D
