Not sure what this was about with the rolling eyes...but anyway.

I know that your Founders' Day was on the 16th, but still wanted to send some kind of well-wishes to you all...please charge to head and not heart!

Plus I see your Convention is coming up. Hope everything goes well.

Gamma_girl, thanks for the shout out, and next time, please include my female brothers without the parentheses. Although I'm sure it wasn't your intent, it makes them seem like an afterthought.

~Q5~ 12-19-2002 10:19 AM

ahhh now that's MY Brother. :D

Sorry about that, that definitely wasn't what I was trying to do. I got love for everybody.

Q5, perhaps you could just enlighten me next time instead of being sarcastic. Just a suggestion from one soror to another...

~Q5~ 12-19-2002 01:48 PM

well

well soror,

I wasnt trying to be sarcastic, just didnt know exactly how to express what Mr. Bond there said.

gamma_girl52 12-19-2002 02:00 PM

Don't worry about it then. It's all good. Have you kept up with your sorors in Cali? How are they doing.

HAPPY 80TH BIRTHDAY

Here to another 80 years in the cut!

Starting with 14 founders and 6 advisors, Frank Reed Horton's vision for a "standard of manhood that would withstand the test of time" finally came to pass on this day 80 years ago.

We have certainly changed a lot over this 80 years period. Here's to Leadership, Friendship, and Service.

Have a blessed Founders Day.

Quala67 12-16-2005 09:52 AM

A message from our President

Thought I'd pass this along...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY APO

80 years ago, December 16, Alpha Phi Omega Service Fraternity was born. It was born out of a desire to form an organization that would be tolerant of the prejudices of the day and would develop a standard of manhood that would stand the test of time. Brothers, we are the stewards during this time in our history of the core values and cardinal principles of our great Fraternity. As we celebrate our 80-year history, may each of us take a moment and reflect on our successes and contemplate our future. May each of us take a moment and be thankful for those who came before us and for those who will come after us. May each of us take a moment and consider our ability to continue to do what APO taught us and help those in our society who are in need. And finally, may each of us take a moment and be appreciative for what we have gained from being part of this brotherhood.

Never forget that a true Alpha Phi Omega member is a servant, a leader, and a friend! On behalf of the National Board of Directors and the National Office Staff I wish every Brother best wishes on the celebration of our Fraternity’s birthday.

In Service/In Brotherhood,

Dr. Fred C. Heismeyer, National President

Alpha Phi Omega National Service Fraternity

I was planning to wear my pin today, but of course I was running late this morning and forgot to put it on.

(I left my gloves in the car when I parked at the Orange Line stop, too. It's been that kind of a morning!)
