Food you eat even though it makes you sick

Okay, I know this is a stupid poll but hey, what are friends for, lol.

What food do you eat even though you know it will/probably make you sick?

For me, it's Fritos! I ate them Friday and knew that I probably would regret it, and I did. I really like them, each time I think it won't make me sick to my stomach but darn it, it does, lol!!

:p

RubberSoul 11-24-2002 09:46 PM

For me, it's anything I get at this local restaurant my hubby's family loves. We go there for every special occasion.....it's very popular and the food seems ok at first, but every time I leave there I end up nauseous by the time the night is over....no matter WHAT I order.

Dionysus 11-24-2002 10:07 PM

There's really no food that makes me nauseous, but boy do some of the foods I eat make me really gassy....but I still eat it anyways. Yes, I did just say that. :D:o

LuaBlanca 11-24-2002 10:33 PM

i always get sick when I eat rye bread...but i love it too much to stop! :(

When I was a kid, there were three things that I ate all the time:

Macaroni and Cheese, PBJ Sandwiches, and Poi.

I'll eat them from time to time, but usually it includes feeling yucky and icky after.

UofIL AXO 11-24-2002 10:40 PM

Taco Bell!!! It's a hard habit to break though.

Poi is a staple of the Hawaiian diet and considered very healthy, and that's why parents fed it to me every day as a kid. It's made from taro root. Once the root is steamed, it's pounded into a paste. Most people add sugar to it, but it's definitely an acquired taste. ;)

KappaTarzan 11-24-2002 11:11 PM

ICE CREAM

it makes me sooo naseous but i loooove how it tastes.. :D

crystalline 11-24-2002 11:28 PM

Anything Mexican. Even if I knew I was going to throw up every single time I ate it, I would still eat it. It's just so yummy!

carnation 11-24-2002 11:43 PM

More than 1 scrambled egg.

Optimist Prime 11-25-2002 04:12 AM

McDonald's McChicken and/or big and tasty.

Ugh. I work for McDonald's. I won't even go into how much I hate the big and tasty. But I do love the McChicken.

SSS1365 11-25-2002 09:41 AM

My mom used to make me eat kielbasa (sp?) all the time until I finally told her it makes me sick!

I also used to be on a medication that basically made me lactose intolerant, but I still ate dairy products anyway :D

AOX81 11-25-2002 11:15 AM

cottage cheese

Dionysus 12-02-2002 06:39 PM

Awww how can I forget? I had EGGS yesturday morning and felt severely nauseous for the rest of the day.

Rio_Kohitsuji 12-02-2002 10:53 PM

Eggs made by anyone but my dad makes me sicker than a dog *icks*
Anything from: Golden Corral, Ruby Tuesday, or any other Bob Evans other than the original restruant (sp?).

cuaphi 12-02-2002 11:20 PM

I get vaguely naseous every time I eat an apple. No idea why but I try to eat them anyway.

valkyrie 12-03-2002 01:00 AM

Really, really, REALLY spicy food. Like fire roasted jalapeno pesto or super hot red curry, the kind of food that's so hot you're in pain when you eat it. It tastes so good, but you, um, definitely feel it the next day.

ADPi~Ally 12-03-2002 03:12 AM

bad experience with beer, that why I like the hard stuff....

Headache + Too much sugar frosting cake + Beer = Throwing up in the parking lot at school, in the front yard of my aunt's house, toilet, in the Rite Aid parking lot (after I tried buying tylenol but couldn't wait in line without pukin), toilet again, and again, and again. Let me tell u, not a fun experience.

lifesaver 12-03-2002 07:30 PM

Wendy's Caesar Side Salad - The $.99 ones.

Eat one and I gurantee I will be in the can within 20 minutes.

The scary part...It will all be coming out the other end in that 20 minutes. Makes me really believe that my innerds are only about 2 feet long.

I eat it and think, this time will be different.

It never is.

BTW: Did anyone see that sick ass thing on Colon Hydrotherapy last night on VH1? What fool agrees to let VH1 film them getting the shit sucked outta them. That one lady will forever be the shit sucker lady. IMHO I believe alot of the bacteria in our innerds are there for a reason and are good, beneficial bacteria. No way, not me.

ZTAngel 12-03-2002 07:37 PM

Skittles....if I eat too many. Especially on an empty stomach.

Optimist Prime 12-03-2002 08:07 PM

Pretty much anything will put me in the can. I agree with Lifesaver, i will never stick a hose up my ass.

tinydancer 12-06-2002 12:46 AM

Have to agree about the Skittles. They take the hide right off my mouth. Plus I always eat too many.
Also Cool Ranch Doritos (the ones in the blue bag) taste soooo good, but they make me queasy after a while.
Don't ever eat corny dogs at 10:30 and then go right to sleep. Sick as a dog!!! (no pun intended)
The reason I don't like raisins or cottage cheese is that when I was a child, I ate them (not at the same time) and got sick later on. That was the last thing I remember eating before I got sick.

sororitygirl2 12-06-2002 12:53 AM

Food from this one really super Mexican restaurant... It always gives me a tummyache but it is SO worth it!

AGDLynn 12-06-2002 10:30 PM

Gosh, it's kinda funny to see how many posts this thread has actually gotten so far, lol.

As I get older, my stomach seems to be more sensitive to foods that I used to love/like. When I started taking some new meds right after having a stomach virus, after taking 4 bites of almost anything made me sick. Thankfully, I'm better, lol. Great diet but dangerous!;) :p

wrigley 12-07-2002 12:51 AM

Overdosing on Cheetos or ice cream does it for me.

sigmagrrl 12-07-2002 09:55 AM

Wheat chex (horrible runs), pancakes( the same effect), bananas( I vomit) ...

Lord, it's not pretty.....

texas*princess 12-07-2002 11:58 AM

this sounds really weird but i'll type it anyway...

whenever i drink chocolate milk (the kind you can buy in stores.. not like the Quik mix) I get sick to my stomach. Very rarely I will drink it anyway because I like it.. but apparently my stomach doesn't like it too much.

I don't know what it could be - I can eat / drink other dairy products with no bad repercussions ::shrugs::

chitownxo 12-07-2002 01:38 PM

White Castle Sliders...they are really, really tasty, but murder on the stomach!

LeslieAGD 12-07-2002 01:43 PM

Arby's...it always sounds so good but it usually gives me a tummy ache! :(

What is a White Castle Slider ? I don't think I have ever heard of this before?

chitownxo 12-07-2002 01:49 PM

White Castle is a midwestern burger chain...they advertise a burger for .79 - it's a small, two bite sandwhich. You can also get them with cheese. The double cheese ones are extremely yummy.

"Slider" refers to the basic berger...they tend to, um, slide right out of the old digestive track, too.

Ever since I was a kid, White Castle burgers were referred to as "rectum rockers"!!!!!!LMAO!

KillarneyRose 12-07-2002 03:50 PM

Aaah, White Castle! My husband LOVES White Castle burgers but I can't stand them. Maybe it's because when we lived in New Jersey we would have to go into scary neighborhoods for him to get his fix, maybe it's because the burgers themself are gray ! I dunno. The only time I eat White Castle is when I'm pregnant; don't know why that is!

Let's see, food I eat even though it makes me sick would have to be cotton candy. I love the stuff and eat a ton of it, but then it makes me feel all queasy.

CheeseMonkey 12-07-2002 05:27 PM

Hot Fudge Brownie Sundae

So delicious yet it hits me in the stomach HARD.

Will I ever stop eating them? Probably not.
:D

AGDLynn 12-08-2002 12:00 AM

White Castle is the Yankee version of Krystals, lol. :D

CanadianTeke 12-08-2002 03:14 AM

Poutine....It's a Quebecois delicasy that combines french fries, cheese curds and gravy. It taste so good going in but i can feel it in my stomach for hours.

Get them WITHOUT onions, then it is easier to digest.

swissmiss04 12-08-2002 12:21 PM

Pretty much anything has the potential to make me violently ill, but I still dig the indian food and anything fried up w/ spices. But without a doubt I will be sooo sick if I drink a lot of coffee. I think something about the coffee beans themselves make me sick, in addition to it being a hot liquid. Some anorexics will drink hot water to sort of, um, get things out, and I think coffee has that same effect on me. Too bad I love coffee.
