Does any gal here hate wearing bras?
I personally hate wearing them becos they are so restrictive! I prefer not wearing it but when i dun wear it everyone seems to stare at my boobs. I've tried wearing those nipple stickers but they are so sticky and gets really painful when i take them off .

I HATE BRAS!
It's not like I'm a woman libber or anything and want to burn mine...I just feel restricted in them too! After working 8 hours dressed up, the first thing I want to take off (other than my pantyhose) is my bra! It's just annoying! Sure I'm not going to go out in public without one, but when I'm home, lounging around, I don't usually have one on. Sorry if this is too personal, but I think bras and pantyhose are annoying. PS> I've tried many different styles so it's not the wrong style or size. I just can't stand wearing them for 9 hours at work underneath a shirt and a blazer! |
Yes, but I must! If I don't, any slight provacation will cause my boobs to bounce and smack my face, giving me a black eyes.
|
OMG, that's a hilarious image!
I hate wearing them too. I can't find one that fits comfortably. And yes, ladies, I have looked at Victoria's Secret. Don't see what all the fuss is about. |

I like when girls don't wear bras and it's really cold outside.
:) |
I HATE them too! But I never leave the house without one--it just feels weird. And I definitely can't sleep if I have one on, and same goes for socks unless it's REALLY cold and I need to keep my feet warm :)
|
omg I hate bras!!! In fact, although I always wear them when leaving my house, I NEVER wear one to my last exam of the quarter, just so that i don't have to wear one in the car for 3 hours. Too bad they definitely are necessary in some instances.

i'm impartial to bra wearing.. they aren't uncomfortable, per say.. i guess tahts just because i found the PERFECT PERFECT fit bras from vicki's... her secret is the wonderbra ;)
whats funny is that i can't make the push ups fit comfortable though.. blah.. it's the angels collection that i find fits best |
i'm kind of indifferent about them too.....luckily i'm not very well endowed so if i feel like going the female side of commando i can and it doesn't make much of a difference! on the other hand- sometimes it's just plain necessary....and i won't argue with that.
OUlioness.....can't you just take it off after the exam??? i must have half of my bra collection in my car! (it sounds worse than i mean it, i swear! lol) I'm constantly taking it off after work/school and forgetting it under the passengers seat, etc....I should probably get them soon....huh? haha |
I think the main reason why I hate wearing bras is because I have narrow shoulders and the straps are constantly slipping off of them. I cannot wear anything silky or satin because it slips right off my shoulder ~ no matter HOW I adjust the straps. There's nothing worse than standing at work trying to adjust your straps because they're slipping down your shoulder and you gotta dig through a shirt and blazer to get to them.
I do like victoria's secret's Body By Victoria. But I typically want something a little more sexy looking. So I bought two Very Sexy bras from there. My friend, who used to manage a store, got me to get one satin and one semi-lace. Of course I cannot stand the satin because not only is it satin, but the straps split into two seperate straps. URG! How annoying. |
I hate not wearing them! Especially when I'm moving around alot. The feeling of them banging into each other is just really weird.
|
I'm right there with several of you on the socks. I never wear socks unless it is REALLY cold. My students at school always ask me "Dr. T - don't you have any SOCKS??" They must think I am too poor to buy any. They make my feet hot!!
Bras - well, I just wish I could find one that fit right. When I do find one I like, they immediately quit making that style. |
WOW!!!
So many of you hate wearing a bra!! I'm surprised!! I feel weird if I don't wear one, so I guess you all know how where I stand regarding the situation. :) |

I hate buying bras more than anything especially at VS because when i have been measured they laughed at me and said,"You're only an A cup," with a smirk. THANKS, so it is more embarressing to buy bras, so i only own four.
|
I use to when I was a lot younger but pretty much accept them and would feel really strange without one in public. For running I wear a sports bra.
|
I am in the MUST wear category, but usually keep it on when not in public anyway. But if I'm hanging out on a Sat. morning, I'm not putting it on until I'm ready to walk out the door!
I also hate women who wear textured (lacy, seamed) bras under smooth shirts! Drives me batty!!!!! |

Maybe I'm in the minority...
I love wearing bras! :D I also love socks AND pantyhose.
|
Amen, AchtungBaby! Sometimes I think I'm the only woman alive who doesn't loathe hose.
|
nothing wrong with pantyhose...good ones stop any jiggling ;)
I kinda like tanks with shelf bras because they give you some support with being too restricting. |
Set the puppies free!!!!!!!!!
So much for a male perspective. I understand that there are times when they are 'necessary' much as I must wear a tie on occaision. Church and work are two good places to give serious consideration to wearing one, maybe even class, but generally I think that if you are in jeans and don't feel like it, go without. My GF is a 34C and only wears one to work. She plays a lot of tennis and has a bunch of these tank tops that have some kind of elastic band built in. It isn't a bra, but provides support and is relatively comfortable. On some of the hot summer days in Texas and Oklahoma she may elect to go without, which is fine with me since she looks great without one. |
I usually walk around Cape Town barefoot. OH, wrong conversation.
|
<Raises hand>
I hate bras, I didn't start wearing one until I HAD to, and luckily, I'm 'little' so I don't need an underwire or anything. The reason I hate bras is because I don't like the feeling of something tight around my chest... Though I cannot go without socks and underwear. |
*raises hand*
|
I don't hate wearing bras. I am one of the lucky people that can get away with not wearing one if I don't feel like it.
I hate socks also! Usually from May until September I wear sandals and the sock drawer never opens!!! |
Oh, and I can't STAND underwire bras. Anytime I've worn one, they don't stay in and the bra completely rides up in the front, so I have to keep putting them back in LMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I hate that!!
|
lol my straps NEVER stay up either! it's become a running joke with my friends (anyone with bra strap slippage is said to be "pulling a sarah")...i think my shoulders slope too much...hmm
as for socks.....i hate wearing them everywhere but bed...bizarre, i know, but i can't sleep if my feet are cold. i'm the weirdo you probably point and laugh at because i'm sporting flip-flops in december...but hey, at least i have nice feet! there is nothing worse than someone wearing sandals if they have bad feet! pantyhose are annoying (they're too slippery!) i can't cross my legs without the top one sliding off every few minutes. opaque tights are the way to go! (patterned ones are even better) but my all-time fav FISHNETS baby!! hehehe |
My D Girls stay put in VS Very Sexy and sometimes Felina. At night it is a sports bra. I keep them up and up in case of a flood, that way I have a natural bouy.
|
Okay... bras. Very Sexy Deep V from Vicki's is THE BEST! Comfortable and flattering...
I don't mind wearing bras... I love to buy the cute sets with matching garters and thongs (or the Tangas from VS)... it's just a nice little secret to know that you look pretty under your clothes. In the summer I will sometimes go without a bra in a tank top though... straps with a tank are tacky. |
Well, i'm kinda impartial...i don't mind em that much, but i could go without too
There was about a year, year and a half that i went braless in university (frosh/sophomore)...it was great anyway, went back to bras when i got a nipple pierced(those crazy days!) to help with the healing process... i've gone up a cup size this year though, so dunno if going braless is quite as feasible... |
If I were smaller I'd go braless. My favorite bra style is cotton, seamless, and from Lane Bryant. I can't stand wearing pantyhose. I try to avoid wearing them when I can. Why can't they invent pantyhose that last and never get runs?
|
OK, it's in the 30's here in Fort Worth this morning.
I am definitely re-thinking the socks!! But only until it warms up some.... |

A couple people mentioned the bras from the Very Sexy collection.....I love those! They are not as comfortable as well, nothing, but ok for a few hours. Plus, I feel like a porn star with one on. ;)
**Side note: I had one on when I went to see DMB this summer. Some guy tried to hit on me, and I ignored him. His friend said, "Aww don't feel bad, (whatever his name was). Her boobs are fake anyways." The magic of Victoria's Secret....hehehehe** |
