How were you conceived?

I was a surprise baby :) How my mom told my dad was, they were at a resturant, and my dad was complaining about how my brother was driving him crazy and he was glad there was no babies. My mom started to cry and stuff. Then she sniffed, "we're having a baby." Yeah but it all worked out. I have awesome parents, wonderful role model, whom i love dearly.

Umm see what happens is a man and woman must love each other, then they spend time together in a romantic setting, one magical night, they lay together and a little tadpole from DADDY unites with an edd in MOMMY and 9 months later, VOILA BABY makes 3. :p

my mom and dad had me when they were 17.. i was a super duper surprise..

I mean like on the wedding night, in a barn, in the back of a pick-up?

I was an accident LOL! My mom and dad met at college and were both in a fraternity and sorority (mom was a little sister to my dad's fraternity ~ everyone go "AWE"). Anywho~ they got engaged after a short time of dating and then mom found out she was pregnant so they bumped up the wedding.

Well me, believing the wonderful stuff my parents have always taught me (up until college) never thought about my parents having YOU KNOW WHAT before marriage. So then, I'm sitting around waiting for my Valentine's date my Senior year of high school when my father RANDOMLY goes: You know, your mom and I were married July 7, 1979 and you were born January 9th, 1980. UM HI! In all 17 years of my life I NEVER thought of being concieved out of wedlock.

I think my dad was just trying to scare me about guys. I dunno...Up until that point I'd never kissed a guy so I don't think he needed to be so graphic! SHEESH!

I'm not sure about other peopel but I think I'd opt to not have that sort of mental image chilling in the membrane. :)

Wow...I don't think I know anyone who wants to talk about their parents sex life...

I mean, my friends and I joke around all the time about fucking eachother's mamas but...there is no way in hell, I'd ask my mom where she got sexed up.

All I know is she was 20 and my dad was 19...and they weren't married. That's all I need to know really.

Interesting story sort of... My mother had been trying to have a kid for awhile (in fact there were 2 stillborn before me). She found that she lacked some hormone so she had to have daily injections. There was also another stillborn after me...

I guess I'm sort of lucky to be around.

Dionysus, I've always been told that there are certain things that really don't need to be asked...I think this qualifies as one. :p

Well, I was a happy accident. My sister was born in 1949 and I came along 15 years later. During the 1950s, my dad was in the Navy, but my mom and sister didn't trail him all around the country. They stayed in New York. My mom says she tried many times to conceive, but wasn't successful until after a 1963 New Year's Eve party at my godmother's apartment.

Well, to humor dear old Dionysus, I was conceived in a tent sometime around early October 1981. Cold night, apparently. :rolleyes:

When one of my friends got her own place, her parents gave her a couch they'd had for, oh, about 23 years or so. They call it the conception couch! Must be weird for her when she's hanging out with a boy on it... :)

My parents call me their unexpected blessing. They had known they wanted to have another kid, but they hadn't been planning on anything when my mom found out she was pregnant.

My mom's joke is that I am only around because my dad bought her flowers on Valentine's Day. My mom calls me every year on Valentine's Day, tells me Happy Conception Day and tells the story again.

Some people make think it's a little weird, but it's those little quirks that make your family unique.

I dont have a good story. I'm pretty sure that I was an accident.

My roommate has a much better story... Her parents went to Disney world here in FL on vacation from Mass. She was concieved in a hotel next to Disney. Her family ended up moving to FL right before she was born. Her mom points it out to her every time they pass it. I thought it was hilarious!!

AchtungBaby, after reading a lot of you guy's sex stories, I was just curious, how mommy and daddy brought you here. :p

IowaHawkeye, I was a pleasant surprise. ;):D After she missed a period or two, she took a pregnancy test, then she found out that her life would be changed forever. :eek:

My mom was 16 when she had me so I was obviously a big OOPS. She got pregnant with me the first time she ever had sex, which was on Valentine's Day 1979. She never told me the story all at once, but that's what I've gathered from her. Cluey, I'm glad to know I'm not the only person who knows their exact date of conception! Lots of my friends think it's weird. I suppose you'll be celebrating your birthday soon?

I was a VERY unexpected surprise!! I was born when my mom was 40 (yes..FORTY..) and after they -already- had 4 other daughters :) :) Here's the line-up: Lori-1964, Kelli-1969, Kristi & Kathi-1972, me-1983 :D

Dionysus- I was conceived more than likely in a good ole bed but knowing my parents...it could be anywhere else imaginable... :p

Um, I actually always hoped I was adopted, that way it was possible that my parents never had sex and were just really good friends.

I was conceived on Halloween. I don't know any of the details beyond that, nor do I wish to.

My best friend in high school was conceived on prom night, her mom's first time (age 17). She was the flower girl in her parents' wedding five years later. She has a half sister who's three and a half years younger (her dad was a little unfaithful) and a full sister who's four years younger. The scary thing is that both younger sisters look exactly alike. It was a bit of a "Parent Trap" thing that led them to find out. "How did you get my face?" They're now best friends.

My mom's parents were quite poor when they married and couldn't afford to get rings until three years later. My uncle was born 20 months after their marriage. My grandmother got my grandfather his ring for Christmas and engraved that date, not their wedding date, on the inside of the band. When my mother was ten, she was looking at the ring and gasped when she realized that her brother was born before the date engraved on the ring. She thought it was quite dirty and inappropriate and walked around calling my uncle a bastard until my grandmother set her straight.

My dad's little sister is much younger than any of her brothers. She was a "change baby" and a huge surprise. Gran had always wanted a girl, so she was thrilled. Her brothers were super-protective of her and doted on her immensely. But she's so much younger that I remember going to her high school basketball games (and watching Gran get booted out for screaming at the referees).

My younger brother was adopted, so I can maintain my wishful thinking that my parents have not had sex since before I was born.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! My thoughts exactly. I think my parents might have held hands once, before I was born. Once. Ewwww, though, I have to say that it's just something I don't even want to think about, let alone discuss.

What's with all the people who know the *exact* encounter that resulted in pregnancy? Were they having sex like once a month? I mean really, if you're having sex all the time, I don't think you could pinpoint the exact time that it happened...

Well, It was my Father, he had just got back from WW II in The Pacific!:D

Damn 9 Mo. later, had a younger Brother who, we tolerate each other!;)

I can't say for sure I know where/circumstances of how I was conceived (I'm pretty sure I know how the technicalities work), but it was less than a year after my parents were married and they didn't expect it to happen so soon--they thought it would take more "tries" than it did lol...

My friends think it's weird, in a funny sort of way. It's become a joke for them to try and figure out when they were conceived. My birthday is right around the corner... presents are always weclome :D

It does bother me that because I'm a moderator you think I should know who you are, where you're from, etc. I am a moderator for the Sigma Kappa forum. It goes without saying that my duty is to watch over THAT forum. My duty is not to get to know everyone who posts on any and all forums.

My questions were harmless. I do know that you are a regular poster and I have read some of your threads. You're a very active member and I was merely being "nosy".
