Its offical next season is the last. Cynthia Nixon confirmed it. What does everyone think about that?

This is a very sad day in the City! I am distrott (sp?) and completely dumbfounded. There are so many plots left unturned and so many things the four women could still do. I feel like it's the end...these four women were our role models (it's okay to be old and single)...not that I'm old, but JUST IN CASE I get old and am still single.

maybe I just saw bad episodes, but when I finally got to see this show, I just didn't get all the hoopla. It just seemed like another sitcom, except they said "vagina" all the time - well I can do that too. Vagina, vagina, vagina!

As Carrie would say, me no likey. :(

don't start watching it! b/c if you do - you'll become as OBSESSED as the rest of us then pissed that it's ending :(

Yeah, they have been hinting for a LONG time. Sarah JP basically said as much in her cover story with Elle a few months back... It will be a sad, sad day... I will have to go buy some Blahniks to cheer myself!

Hello everyone. This is my first time posting in this particular forum and I'd like to just start off by saying "hi".
Anyway to the subject..........................I love sex and the city there is no other show like it. I remember I saw it for the first time in 2000 and I was on the floor laughing. The show really deals with real issues that we women go through.
I can't believe they're about to stop!!!!:mad: :mad: :mad: . Does anyone have any idea why or is it that they're just tired and want to pursue other endeavors.

Yeah, I feel the same way about it. I just didn't think it was funny. To me it seemed like a constant game of slutty one-upsmanship. :rolleyes:

Man-I knew I should have gotten HBO. I would watch it at home and then come back to school and not be able to watch it. I loooove that show. I guess the only good thing about it is that now I won't have to spend too much money buying all the seasons on DVD. :D

After Cynthia Nixon made that comment on Fox News, HBO was quick to say that nothing had been confirmed yet. So there still might be hope.

I loved the show when I first starting watching -- back during the second season. I love the way the dealt with real issues but with a fantasy twist (oh, that I would get to have man problems while wearing Jimmy Choo shoes and having a cool job).

But last season? Sucked. All the life was gone. I think they totally jumped the shark and it's just as well they aren't giving it a slow and painful death.

I was afraid it would end soon. Whenever TV shows start bringing children into the picture it seems their lifespan becomes short. Oh well :(

ill be upset when they decide to take dennis miller live off the air, that would really suck!

I'm upset, but not surprised. I'd like to see it go out on top...not to become really really bad for three more seasons.

That said, the show does deal with real issues. I can see how some people think it's trashy, or whatever...but it does reflect the life of single city women more than any show in recent memory--which isn't everyone's demographic (nor should it be). I'm not even talking about the sex.

For me, the best thing about the show is female friendship. Even though the sexcapades of Charlotte, Carrie, Sammy Sam Sam and Miranda are a big part of the series, I see the good friendship among the four women as being its underpinning.

I am going to miss this show when it does go off the air.:(

In honor of SATC, I will be spending most of my paycheck at a Kate Spade sample sale and buy shoes and purses galore. I can't find a Jimmy Choo or Manolo Blahnik sample sale so Kate will have to do. Everything will be at wholesale prices. Happy Day! :D
