What is a radical view or controversial opinion that you hold?


I'll start. I believe that if we should go to war, prisoners should be allowed to fight for us. :eek: No really, your lifers, murderers, rapists, drug dealers, child molesters, etc. should serve on the front line. Seriously a lot of them are trained in shooting guns. That would decrease our prison population too.


So what are opinions you have that some consider radical or controversial?

I think a lot of drugs should be made legal, England legalized drugs and criminal activity went down. When you ban something, people want it more, if you make it legal, it's no fun after that.

I believe the government created AIDS and funneled it into the inner city, as well as the homosexual community to rid an "undesirable" element of out population (think the Tuskegee syphilis experiment). I also think the govt funneled drugs and guns to the inner cities too.

My controversial thoughts:

There are very few eligible and desirable black men (read: upper middle class and upper class) and those few should marry black women.

I am virulently opposed to long-term welfare dependency. I don't like having my tax $$$$ going to people who stay on it generation after generation. If I'm going to pay taxes, I'd rather it go to education.

Radical:

Make alcohol illegal. Legalize marijuana. Nuff said. (hell would freeze over first) :(

No one is better than anyone else. People, especially black folks love to call each other out and think that material things make you better than your neighbor.

I don't care if you're in a fraternity or sorority, got mad education or not you're no more better than anyone else. We were created by GOD. Stop trying to step over and start looking at yourself.

I think prostitution should be legal. If two consenting adults decide to get together and do some thangs, then why should Uncle Sam be there to stop them. What you do behind closed doors is your business. I would rather move the police officers who are undercover trying to bust "hookers and johns" to trying to get rid of the illegal drugs in my community.

I think Caucasians came from the Ice Ages. This is not to offend anyone I just have some really radical ideas about evolution and the Bible...

I agree that welfare should not be a way of life. Tax money should be spent on education and not supporting people who made bad choices.

Also, not every person should be a parent. Just because God gave us the equipment to procreate shouldn't mean we have to use it when you can't even take care of yourself.

This sounds really bad and "unpatriotic," but I think the government is hiding *a lot* of stuff from the public.

Well I have quite a few but the ones people most disagree with is the fact I am ANTI-Affirmative Action and ANTI-reparations. They always say well you don't care about the black community, but I work to better my people everyday. I just don't want to be handed something because I'm black and I definitely don't want to receive money and I've never picked a piece of cotton in all my life.

Radical is my middle name!!!!
 

My most radical opinion according to my Chapter bruhs is my stance on abstainance. I think that sex outside of marriage is not profitable nor prudent for anyone. Sex outside of marriage and the general distortion and perversion of sex is probably the biggest social PROBLEM wrecking our black community today.To avoid a long post, if anyone disagrees , PM me or reply here.

And as for tax dollars being wasted on welfare, according to the US budget in 2000, less than 1% of our tax dollars goes to welfare, which most people never stay on longer than 6 months, much less a lifetime. If you want to talk about wasting tax payer money, talk about the 30 to 40% of our tax dollars going to the military-industrial complex. That is where our tax money goes.

I feel the same way! I have an issue with getting a job just because I fit some type of bullshit profile for a company....give me the job because I'm damn good at what I do!:mad:

I think that DNA testing for crimes where there is likely to be forensic evidence should be MANDATORY.

I also believe that the standard of proof for the death penalty should be higher than 'reasonable doubt'. I also believe death penalty should only be allowable in limited circumstances.

I believe we need to get back to having a jury 'of your peers' rather than a 'fair and impartial' jury because human beings try to be fair and cannot really be impartial.

I believe that habitual sexual predators CANNOT be rehabilitated. They may be able to suppress their behaviors for a length of time, but from what I've seen, they do re-offend eventually.

I believe:

~the SAT, ACT, GRE, MCAT, LSAT, etc. should not be used as a criteria to get into college.

~there is a cure for cancer and HIV/AIDS but the government doesn't want to let it out because it is an billion dollar industry to keep people on drugs for the rest of their lives.

~gay marriages should be legalized.

~other races help black people more than we help ourselves.

I can go on and on but I would be typing for forever. A lot of you already hit upon some of the things I believe.

Um why not? What SHOULD be used as criteria to get into college?

I just don't believe that those tests are always an accurate measurement of how the person would do in college. There are some graduate schools that don't require the GRE and they are ranked the top in the nation. Sometimes those test can be culturally and demographically bias.

Nothing is completely accurate, even IQ tests. But it gives good direction.

Culturally and demographically bias? How? By scoring? Or, by the type of questions asked on the test? While I do belive that the type of questions asked can be biased, I don't think it has a profound effect on outcome.

I believe that people convicted of ANY FORM of child abuse should not be permitted to procreate (also: people on welfare should be required to use birth control)

I believe that ALL PEOPLE are racist - the louder you shout that you aint the more you probably are

I believe that everyone should be personally responsible for their own behavior.

You should not be able to sue if you were fully aware of the ramifications of your actions/or inactions.

Drug use in private or any sexual act between consenting adults should be de-criminalized (not legal). You shouldn't be punished by the government for getting your swerve on. Your job should still be able to drawn the line though.

Tolerance cannot be mandated. To do so is a form of thought control. Equal treatment is another story.

Orphaned Children should be adopted into any loving home environment, regardless of the race or sexual orientation of the household.

Sigmas should not be allowed to win stepshows if they dance or act like Chippendales 50% of the routine.

I am still doing research to have more believable evidence but it just makes so much sense to me. People are different in my opinion because of the enviroment that they lived in that has caused things to happend over the years. Okay, my opnion is that human life started in Africa, which isn't to controversial. Then as humans grew and learned and multiplied, they moved to Asia. Confuscious said that his people turned into the yellow people( I got that on the internet so I have to find actual documentation) But look at the similarities between Asians and Africans. So these two groups grow into more races and something happens that separtates the Africans from the Asians. The Asians travel to somewhere else, climate is cold cause them to change again and you have a new group, Cacausions. I also read that Africans have a similiar dna, Asians have 90% of that same African dna, and Caucasians have 60% of the African dna and 10 % of the Asian. I am going to write a book so people can really think I am really crazy.:rolleyes:

I believe that there's several missing books in the bible.

Speaking of that, like Eve cursed women, I believe that some black person (or people) in the bible did something to curse this race, that hasn't be documented.

Woah!! :eek: :eek: :eek: Actually there are some (to use CT$'s expression) coughracistas$holescough who believe that the "curse of Ham" is why there are Black people on the earth and used it to justify slavery. :rolleyes:

Haev you read the Isis Papers by Dr. Frances Cress Welsing? It's been a while for me, and I didn't finish it, but she espouses similar views.

I believe GOD and RELIGION are mutually exclusive concepts

I believe that the Bible is not a real story- it's a parable, an allegory.
I believe that religion is for many people just a crutch
I believe that people WANT to think it's true because its the only thing that gives them a sense that there is some kind of order and justice in the world
I believe that Heaven does not exist
I believe that if anyone has it right it's those buddhists
I believe that religion in many traditional forms is a hypocrisy of the worst sort
I dont believe that there is some big daddy god up in heaven writing down every time that we're naughty
I dont believe that God got you a parking space so that you wouldnt be late to work this morning.
I believe that GOD as such is in us, and we show it in how we treat the people around us and how we love them

Yes and its a fascinating theory that was used to rationalize slavery. Granted there is no written evidence anywhere to signify that it's true. It was just convenient.

Yes, I've heard of theories of Ham, I take it with a grain of salt. However, I still believe there's a curse, that hasn't been documented or is VERY well hidden in the bible, aside from the story of Ham.

I don't think it was right that the children of the people who were killed Sept. 11, received money for college when most of the people that worked in the World Trade Center have life insurance that could pay for the tuition of all of their kids, grandchildren and great grandchildren. So many big corporations gave all of their money that is usually allocated for other community needs, to the Sept. 11 fund. When I called around trying to get businesses to donate money for clothes and food for homeless kids, they basically said opps sorry we gave all our money to fund a rich kid's college education. Speak on it! I feel ya totally on that issue.

Speaking of authority, people should NOT always respect and have fear for authority, especially out of blind obedience. Authority is corrupted! We have so many imcompetent and immoral people in leadership positions, especially people in the gov't! There are good people in authority, but I believe they are exceeded by the bad ones, so why should they be feared and respected, no matter what?
