World Series
 

OH MY GOD! If you don't like baseball or think it's boring, I can understand. I mean, I love it, but I know some folks don't. BUT, if you did not see Game 6 of the World Series, you missed one of the most exciting sports moments of the year! I was listening to it on my way home from a friend's (2 1/2 hour drive), and when I got in the house and turned on the TV, watching the Angels win was absolutely amazing! Believe in the power of the rally monkey!!! :)

Heck Yeah!!!!!!!! Angels kick butt!!!!!! I hope they win tomorrow. Haha Barry Bonds made an error and bobbled the throw that scored 2 runs. GO ANGELS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Disney winning game 6 was funny. Whats next, the brewers winning next year? My dad was telling me last night that the angels winning it all are almost as bad as the 97 marlins. Thats a pretty bad insult.

Since I have been a Braves fan for decades, I'm pulling for the Angels! ;) :D

The Giants wouldn't be any better, dude - plus, the '97 marlins had some nasty players, they just couldn't keep them together.

I'd rather watch Angels/Giants than another lame-ass Braves/Yankees series.

I still have faith that the Giants can pull it out and win it tonight :) but that was an intense game last nite, lol- left my school's homecoming football game early to go watch the World Series... :)

If it wasn't for Bonds, I wouldn't be watching any of these games

BTW, I heard Livan Hernandez won game 7 of the 1997 world series. Could that be an omen?

Oh this just makes me sad :) The Braves are as bad as the Giants, the Yankees, etc. KSig said it best. I'd rather watch this series, which has been SOOO entertaining than watch the stupid braves and yanks anyday. Thrillhouse, so far it doesn't look so good for Livan! He's gone in the 4th!

I must admit that it was sort of sad to see tears streaming down young Darren Baker's face as his dad carried him into the tunnel/clubhouse.

The Giants deserve a great big congratulations for getting as far as they did!

Wait until next year. The Yankees will be back. :)

I am glad the Angels won. They deserve it. They did not give up. They fough tooth and nail to win. They had the preseverance and heart. Way to go Angels!!!!!!

Gotta say Congrats to the Angels- hard to be mad at them... I still think the Giants are the better team overall (gotta support my team :) ) but I'm happy for the Angels :)

...and God spake, saying "not in my hiz-ouse." And the legion of Angels did layeth the smack down on the Giants. And the fans did grin.

Because I'm 8 hours ahead of Pacific time, last night's game 7 of
the World Series was on from 12am - 4:30am. Doh! I couldn't afford to
lose that sleep because of all the reading I have to do for class (gotta
be alert to read). So, I went to bed instead. Buuutttttt....I woke
up this morning to hear the good news......

Of course, I'm a big San Diego Padres fan; they are my *favorite*
team. But, after living in Long Beach for 7 years, I adopted the
Anaheim Angels as my "second" team. FYI - I lived about 10-15 minutes from
Anaheim. Though I lived in Los Angeles County, Los Angeles itself, and
the stinky Dodgers, are about 30 -45 minutes away. Make that 2 hours
during rush hour!

Hey, the announcers during the pregame show on the channel over here
(one English guy and one American!) mentioned that the US ratings for
this World Series is one of the lowest ever. They were surprised
because they were getting tons of e-mails from people writing in to the
station in the UK. They, and I, think that has to do with the Series
being between two California teams. Humph! The Midwest and East coast
people just have no respect for the West! ;)

I already have plans to host a Super Bowl party. I have NO IDEA how
I'm going to work it out since it's probably going to be in the middle
of the night on a SUNDAY. :eek: But, I know a few English people who want
me to have the Super Bowl party (because they think it would be cool to
do something "American"?) I know I'm looking forward to it because it's
being hosted in San Diego!!! Yay!!! I get to watch Super Bowl AND show
off my hometown at the same time. And if the Chargers make it to the
Bowl.......someone hold me back!!!! :)

Ok......I just wanted to share my sports enthusiasm....

Of course, I'm really upset about the Giants loss, but I'll get over it eventually. To make it to the 7th game of the World Series is something to be proud of. Who knows what will happen to my team now, but for all its worth, I had the time of my life this postseason. The Giants were 8 outs away from the title but couldn't hold on. The Angels deserved to win after that comeback. Even me, a diehard Giants fan will admit that.

I'm just upset for those players who may not get another chance at a ring. Santiago, Dunston, etc....

Way to go Giants!! See you next season!

They're parading the Angels down Disneyland's Main Street and then rallying over at Edison Field today. I hear they're expecting thousands of people...wish I could be there! It was a great Series and I'm SO happy for the Angels. They deserved this win!
