best hangover food ?

what are your tips? I had a rough -- but fun! -- weekend and I could have used a good list of hangover food to make myself feel better.

Actually, I did okay for myself. I've found that a combo of grease and veggies does the job. So I scarfed down a Whopper and salad from Burger King and it really did the trick.

Taco Bell of course!!

i actually read somewhere that potatoes (mashed, baked, whatever) does the trick. i have yet to try it but Jack in the Box seems to help. ;)

Well, last thursday night I went to Lambda Chi's Greek Bowl Blowout (since I'm a little sister, i went early with the Crescent sisters and a few guys to play 'kill the keg' before the party started). I was out til 4 and had to wake up at 6 for work (i currently co-op an hour away). I was a little late for work, but I stoped and got a McDonalds Ham, Egg, and Cheese on a bagel... and it worked quite well...
... until I started sobering up around 11am....

The best way to cure a hangover is to just start drinking again. Well I don't know if it is the best way, but a good AM drunk is a blast.

I'm not sure if these are everywhere or just in Florida (I know they have one in Gainesville), but around here the is a place called Guthries. They only sell chicken finger boxes (with fries) and chicken finger sandwiches. The sauce they put in the box is delicious!!! It is the ONLY thing I will eat after a night of drinking because there is a lot of it, it is greasy/salty, and for some reason, that sauce mixes the BEST with that alcohol after-taste!

Gut box for me!

Interesting... I wonder what it is about potatoes? I bet it's true though. Whenever things get really rough for me, I'll pick up a baked potatoe in addition to the salad (mmm.... ceasar.....) at BK and I'll be feeling better soon.

Of course, there's always the preventative measures of a multi vitamin and a glass of water before bed....

Gutheries ROCKS

Oh god, I know exactly what you are talking about. I was visiting a friend at UF and Gutheries is amazing. I have to give a shout out to THE WAFFLE HOUSE!!!!! Of course, that's really more like "I'm still -drunk- and -I -gotta- eat- or -I'll -puke something-fierce-food" mmmmmmm

As far as I'm concerned, the ONLY cure for a hangover is a big cheese pizza with extra sauce and a gigantic Coke. Yum.

I dunno, I'm not sure what the deal is. But at my school they still do. We don't have brother/sister fraternities/sororities... so the fraternities pick certain girls that they like and want to hang out alot (or somthing). They do it a lot more organized than, say, Delta Chi does at my school. DC picks any girl... I think the new guys big brother gets to pick a girl and they are ALL considered sweethearts. But in Lambda chi, the girl has to be in a sorority, and has to have hung out for at least a year or somthing... and out of the Crescent sisters, ONE is picked sweetheart.
They might not still do it at other places... but maybe since they've done it forever, and all the other fraternities have lil sisters, they;re just going to continue doing it.
I really dont know.

DeltAlum 10-16-2002 11:07 AM

White Castles.
Cold Pizza.

XOMichelle 10-16-2002 12:17 PM

Eggs, cheese, bacon, and hash browns. mmm-mmm. Actually, anything with fat and salt. Oh, and gatorade or V-8
