My Vikings first game of the actual season (not preseason) is next Sunday. And yes!… I will be watching! We’re up against Tampa Bay. :)

I’m watching the Lions/Chiefs game. Of course KC is going to win, but I want Detroit to win. Honestly, I don’t think Detroit will get more than 3 points lol.

I was about to say "Tied at half time" and then... THIS is why I hate football. The Lions give you hope, then blow it. Then give you hope, then blow it. And the die hard Lions fans get all emotional and I want to just yell at them - IT'S THE LIONS!!!!!!!!!!! Are they not used to it by now?

Hilarious! Yes! I feel your pain, Dee. My Vikings do that to me towards the end of the season all the time. They’ll get so close either in the playoffs or getting close to the playoffs and blow it.

Yep, but the last time they went was long before I was born. Since I wasn’t alive to see any of them, they don’t count lol :p

That's how they roll though. They'll beat a ridiculously good team and then lose 9 in a row. I really hope it's different this year. I do. I just don't have a lot of faith. There used to be local radio shows that would have phone in contests "How are the Lions going to blow it?" with the crazy ways they would end up losing a game. They've had talent a lot of the time, but they end up just ... blowing it. Fingers crossed they really do win the division.

Very true. Stafford has a Super Bowl ring, now that he’s left the Lions. I think they just have bad management because even their coaches have been good.

Keeping My fingers crossed for a successful Cleveland Browns season. We need to win now.

Omg! I was so mad that I went upstairs, got in the bed and pouted myself to sleep. I just woke up just now. I was so mad at Kirk Cousins and our offense, I could scream. He’s by far the worst quarterback in the league. Brett Favre was our last hope. That’ll never happen again. They’re done the rest of the season. Cousins is an overpaid joke!

I don't really root for either Michigan or Michigan State. I root for both and when they play each other, I'm neutral. I didn't go to either school. My school's football team sucked so bad. We were on a 57 game losing streak and they were threatening to kick us out of the MAC (our conference). They made us buy a ticket to the tailgate area where we would just party and never even go into the stadium. The alcohol flowed freely and it looked like people were going to the games so they got to stay in the conference. The year I graduated, they won their conference and won a bowl game and then went downhill again until last year. They won a bowl game last year. They will suck for another 35 years now, most likely.

But y’all used to mess with CG talking trash about Michigan though. I thought you were a Michigan fan.

Yes! Baker Mayfield for Tampa Bay has been on four different teams in three years — and Cousins lost against him? Really? The next four games the Vikings are toast. They don’t stand a chance against those teams. I’m like, we’re 0-4 already before the other three even start.
