High School
What were you like in high school?
1. Loser (Lmao) 2. Not popular (not many people knew you, and nobody knew of you) 3. In the middle (most people knew of you) 4. Popular (everybody knew of you and knew who you were) Did you make your yearbook list? I got voted in as the funniest (I was the class clown) How about you? |

I forgot to post my number.
3 for me too. |
Everyone knew who I was…but everyone knew who everyone was because. My school was tiny lol…
Catholic girls school, small, urban… There were several groups….the Uber Regina George girls (group of five in my grade):..the middle of the road girls (partied and dated but still did good in school)…and the Typical Catholic School Girls who were in NHS and planned to marry their HS sweethearts (most did). We had a small but vocal Bad Girls contingent that spanned all grades (maybe 12 girls total)…and then Everybody Else. The Weird People. By the time I was a senior, I was the unofficial leader of The Weird People (although we were truly all equals) I always find it funny when people on GC talk about those girls who were so popular in HS and think they are automatically going to get into Super Sorority. Safe to say…that was NOT me. But I think it prepared me well for life, because I never really cared what people thought of me or my friends. If someone made a snide comment about my sorority, I got irritated with that person and considered it a reflection of them and not my sisters. |
I was a 4.
For our senior poll, I got voted most spirited. What was I like in high school? Hmm.. I don’t know, I guess a normal teenager? I was a cheerleader from my freshman - senior year. I ended up becoming captain. I was also in our science club for all four years. Other than that, I didn’t participate in any other after school activities. I studied a lot so I was kind of an undercover nerd. |
I was in between 3 and 4. I played football in high school. If you played any kind of sports at my high school, popularity would follow you.
I didn’t get voted in any senior recognitions as most or best, etc. |
Solid 3.
I got biggest smile |

What say you, PB? Why didn’t you like cheerleaders? I’ll post why I didn’t after you post your reasons. Let’s see if they match Lol! |
Our school didn’t even have cheerleaders lol…but we were fierce in basketball. A few of the BB girls had big egos but most of them were not mean girls at all…even though they were smart, beautiful and athletic- and got great scholarships to outstanding colleges.
I wanted to do track or cross country but all four years…the school could never get it together enough to do anything with competitive running. Student council was the big thing in our school. Everyone who was anyone fought it out in the spring for the slots on SC. |
In between 3 and 4 but my high school wasn't huge like where my daughter just graduated from but I was also very shy.
I got voted best dressed. |

The reason why I didn’t like cheerleaders was because I saw them as attention seekers. They liked to be seen. They just wanted guys to look at them, especially the one at the top of that pyramid shit they’d do. The one at the top of the pyramid always sought and received the most attention. You cheerleaders are a trip Lol. |

You’re not my friend anymore, Phrozen. :p |

Okay, except for you, CG. Except for you Lol! |
Yes! I was the smallest/shortest so I was on the top.
I forgive you… this time. :p |
4 ... sort of. Everyone knew who I was because I was my class valedictorian. I knew all my fellow honors students, everyone in the chorus, and everyone on the track team. I wasn't Cordelia Chase popular, I was never a Heather, but everyone knew who I was.

High school is such a weird place. I had an older sis who graduated right before I started freshman year. Everyone knew her and thought she was hot (she still is--and we're BFFs), but I show up a 'hot' yet painfully shy, serious, and artsy girl. I got a LOT of attention from day one, but once it got out that I didn't put out, guys lost interest. :/ After that, I did have issues with dating. LOL

PB thinks he’s going to get out of this one. Still waiting for his cheerleaders dislike response. Nobody is going to bite you for having an opinion Lol.

I have strong convictions about some things, but now I don’t post them as much, because some folks on here could be going through some things or have opposite views. The last thing I wanted to do was offend folks. |

The comment I mentioned to you when I was reading and laughing at old posts on here. You don’t remember? I’ll find it and post in the chit chatting thread. |

didn't make the list. |
I vacillated between 3-4. My high school didn't do the superlative thing (there were about 600 in my graduating class), but I was always in the newspapers & yearbooks with quotes & photos. I will always regret one quote, as funny as it may have seemed at the time.

I answered: "When you go out with the guy you've been drooling over and discover that you can't stand him." Shallow little 16 year old! I still hope that the guy I was thinking about never put two and two together. In my defense, he thought he was all that and a bag of chips. I just don't like to think of myself as hurting someone else. |
