Food you enjoy but most people wouldn’t enjoy
Kind of an opposite thread to Phrozen Sands thread.
I squeeze lime on my salad as the salad dressing. Everyone I know can’t see how I can eat it that way. It’s so yummy though. |
I can’t really answer this one, due to the fact that I eat and enjoy the same foods the general public enjoys, with the exception of a few things. I’ll have think about that one.

I honestly love peanut butter and jelly. Most people I know think of it as a last resort, but I love it.
|
NO peanut butter! YUck!!!
|
Chitlins (chitterlings)
|
SUSHI! ALL DAY!

Pickled beets.

Another pickled beets lover - especially if you throw a few hardboiled eggs in the mix. The Amish call them Red Beet Eggs.
|
Yellow tortilla chips dipped in chocolate ice cream. (No, I’m not pregnant.)
Noodles or macaroni in tomato juice. This comes from my mom’s depression era upbringing. |

I also love peanut butter and jelly sandwiches! I like mayonnaise or ranch dressing for my French fries, not ketchup. |
I am a Gentile and I love lox
|
What is lox?

As for french fries, I like horseradish sauce with mine, if I eat them. They're very low on my hit parade. |

I don't know if other people wouldn't enjoy it or not, but I've never seen anyone else do it. I love A-1 Sauce on my baked potato. A-1, butter and sour cream.
|
I love cold pasta—ANY KIND! Macaroni and cheese, spaghetti, pizza—right out of the fridge. I also love cold baked beans. My sister-in-law (a Tri Delta!) fixes the best, and we always get some leftovers. I actually eat a small refrigerated dish of them as part of my breakfast if we have any left.
My wife just HATES THIS! But…as they say, there’s no accounting for some tastes! |

If I were on death row, my last meal would be lox on either a pumpernickel bagel or an everything bagel or an onion bagel with Philadelphia brand cream cheese. The last time I priced lox it was $16 a pound |

I love Brussels sprouts. Roasted at a high temp in the oven, with olive oil, salt, pepper, and garlic.

Anchovies. When I order a caesar salad and the waiter asks if I want anchovies, I say hell yeah! (More politely, of course.)
Sushi. I first tried sushi when two of my sorority sisters dragged me to a sushi bar. Hmm, raw fish ... oh, wait, this is nummy! Medium-rare steak. This is how I have always eaten steak. My MIL insists on eating steak medium-well. "I SEE PINK!!1!1!!" I had to convert my husband to the deliciousness that is medium-rare. |

My mother would, on occasion, buy frozen Brussels sprouts, and as AGDee stated, boiled them to mush. Had she only known about roasting fresh ones.

I also like anchovies on my pizza, but none of my friends, family members or colleagues do. I will admit that eating anchovies is like eating spoonfuls of salt |
