Upset with this freakin Sniper
 

I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one, but this serial killer has started to really piss me off. He or she is obviously getting off on the fact that they can take life at will and play god. The thing that really got me the most, was when he/she shot the 13 year old boy at school. That's just freaking pathetic.....the sniper has already killed more people than the son of sam, thats scary

Scary for you!?!?! This psycho is in my hometown....and I go to school only 30 minutes away. The worst thing about it is everyone is soo on edge and looking over their shoulder every second. One of the shootings happened right near my house on Wednesday:mad: They don't even know what this sniper guy looks like:eek: I'm praying that something happens to solve this soon....

I don't know why, but I'm just not too freaked out! I live right here, and I guess, if it's my time, it's my time. The first five shootings last week were all within a 5-10 mile radius of my houes. But, I'm just not freaked for some reason. I guess growing up in NYC made me a bit numb to random violence like this. I've always been very aware of my surroundings, but I will take extra precautions...

As a resident of Maryland, let me tell you one thing....if I see any white vans or trucks ANYWHERE...I turn and go in the opposite direction! Earlier this week, I got stuck on a major highway because police had stops every few miles. Scary to see all the trucks and vans of all sizes pulled to the side of the road being searched and stuff. I pray for the families of the victims in this mindless act of cruelty.

Wow, I just heard about the sniper on the news for the first time. What a sicko! My prayers go out to the victims and their families. I hope everyone in the area stays safe.

I hope to GOD! (and not the serial killer) that he or she is found and brought to justice. I just cannot believe that this is happening: it's all senseless! Imagine the agony these families are going through. I know that at any minute lightning could strike me, a car could kill me, or I could drop down dead...but this person is taking life. Life that may have lived 10 or 50 more years!

It seems that he wants to be caught because of the fact that he left thay=t tarot card. Hopefully he gets apprehended soon cause he'll keep killing till he gets caught.

I just heard that the latest victim....in Fredricksburg just 20 minutes from my school...was on his way home to see his wife and 6 kids after a business trip. I really hope this guy gets caught soon. How sick must he be to kill 9people??:(

The good news is that these things follow a fairly predictable pattern....this guy WILL get caught and he will be taken out in the tired old "blaze of glory" cliche. The bad news is that this is probably what he wants....to remain this enigma.....this person obviously has some major issues with both the government and law enforcement. What exquisite torture it would be for him to have to be locked up under its control for the rest of his life. Plus we will be denied the satisfaction of knowing WHY.

I am definitely freaked out about it. First off, I feel horribly for these people. Secondly, we have family there. Thirdly, I fear that copycats will spring up all over the place. Fourthly (but probably most significantly) I have to go there in 2 weeks for a burial service at Arlington National. Not thrilled to be using myself and my children as target practice for this sniveling, worthless piece of sh*t.

Maybe it's silly, but since this stuff started, I've found myself to be VERY nervous whenever I am outside. I walk really fast to my car and I always look around whenever I do have to stand around outdoors (i.e. when I'm getting gas). I've gotten even worse ever since the shooting Wednesday night which was 1 mile and a half from my apartment. I mean a few hours beforehand, I had just gotten gas at the station across the street from that one! And a few days before, I had stopped AT that gas station and filled up right next to the pump that the guy was shot at. That shooting just made it more of a reality for me, because I knew that I truly couldn't feel safe anywhere. I can't wait till this is all over with, and if he doesn't get killed in a chase or commit suicide, I hope he gets the death penalty. I've never wished anyone dead before, but this guy has gone WAY too far!

This is just so horrifying.

The sniper is in Metro D.C., Maryland, and now Virginia. It is very scary. My mom was just talking to me about the Son of Sam and how scary it was because those crimes occurred very close to our home. The terrifying part is the randomness of the sniper's killings. Stay safe everyone!

I really hope that they catch this sick person very soon. My family is right in the middle of the killings and I am really scared for them. It is hard to be this far away but I guess there is nothing that I could do if I was there. I hope everyone in the area stays safe.

I was flipping the channels and saw the breaking news on CNN. It happened outside a Home Depot in the VA area. :(

If no one has heard the latest. THere was another shooting in Falls Church, Virginia. Right outside of DC and only 10 minutes from where I live at school. Needless to say my roommates and I are scared shitless.....No one here feels safe:eek: This psycho needs to be caught:mad:

I'm even too scared to park my car late at night lately because I have to walk through dark woods to get to my apartment. And when I came home from work I pulled up in front of my house to get a roomie to come with me and the bastards at the towing company took my car after 5 minutes. What gives???? I'm being punished for being scared.

I hope they catch him soon. This is so terrible what this person is doing. I can imagine that due to the complete randomness of the acts it will be hard. I think it is so sad how this person is getting their sick high off of being in the media spotlight and acting as "God". It is so terrible that people are living in fear. No one should.

My coworker does Tarot cards and I asked her about the significance of the Death Card. She told me that it doesn't necessarily mean death. So it makes me wonder why he chose the death card and if he really knows anything about anything.

They think it is kids... I don't. One shot is killing people- this killer is a marksman- he knows how to shoot. He has no bias against anyone- old, young, black, white- they all are suffering.

And my big conspiracy theory... he is heading towards Washington D.C. That scares me! The last one in Falls Church is soooo close to D.C.

Michaels and the Gas Stations- not important- just really busy places- this person is smart. Gas Stations are always busy and Michaels is always in a strip mall- very busy. Any other ideas?

So I'm listening to the news and they say the shooter's rifle is a "varmit shooter". Varmit????? My goodness- what constitutes a "varmit"???? They mentioned a prairie dog. I don't know...anyone out there shoot "varmits"????? Clue me in! Is my hamster a varmit?

I'm really scared for my dad. He talks about going to falls church all the time. This sucks. I'm sorry they towed your car. I'm freaking out.

Who knows why people do this- terror? People seeking media attention? People wanting to send a message. People who have nothing else to live for because in the end- they will get caught and will get the death penalty.

Someone fill me in, I've been working like crazy and I haven't had a chance to do anything since last night but sneak this e-mail through this morning from my job. I everyone here is talking about a shooting at falls church, but does anyone know if it is in relation to the sniper. It's crazy how this has kind of began as a regional issue to a full blown national scare. A lot of people around the country, and here in Texas have this matter on their minds. Hope everyone stays safe who lives in these areas. My heart seriously goes out to y'all. I think people are so scared in other places because they realize the severity of the situation and hope to god something like that doesn't happen in their city. I really hope it never does to me or my family.

My parents have called freaking out. My roomates are crying. I can't stand this..I wish that I could go live in another state for a while. And about the death card, soldiers used to leave the Death Tarot card or the ace of hearts as their "calling card"

I think that this tragedy is bringing everyone closer together. Like the police force in the area who are trying their best to keep everyone safe, and even the men and women who are volunteering to pump gas for people who are scared to get out of their vehicles. I really hope they get this person soon.

In Tarot, the Death card means a transition, a major change. Rarely, if ever, does it signify the end of mortal life. I see it as a change not for the person whose life he took, but for those whose lives were linked with the victim's. Or he could just be trying to freak out the 99% of people who don't know that the Death card doesn't mean death. Or he doesn't understand that himself.

This morning, I thought I heard on the news that they were cancelling sporting events in the area because they are afraid they won't be able to protect the athletes and the fans. Did anyone else hear this?

I don't know about professional sports events, but I do know that they have cancelled all school events inside, outside, and at night. Rec sports are cancelled also. Basically, the Maryland/DC/Virginia area is being placed on freeze until this maniac is caught. Everyone be safe.

Most of the area school athletics are cancelled. A few of the concerts around campus have even been cancelled or postponed from what I hear. The day following the falls church incident I had to go up to the area with some of my sisters...the exact parking lot. It was horrible. They had men in fatigues, national security, FBI, state troopers, undercover police. You could see the spot where the woman was shot, and it was surrounded by candles and people praying. There were news crews everywhere. And as my sisters and I were leaving Serena from MTV News approached us to do a story or to find one!?!? The scene was horrible, a definate tear-jerker. People are so on edge here:(

Ok, I really thought he would be caught by now. What do you all think........should I go? I really feel obligated to be at the burial for my uncle, my cousin (who is only 15 and is now feeling totally alone in the world) needs all the support he can get and I PROMISED him I would come. I have already made arrangements so that I do not have to take my kids, which makes me feel better. But I am still nervous. My dad, who is normally very rational about things, is very upset and is calling me like everyday to see if I am still planning to go. He wants me to reconsider and keeps saying things like "There could be copycats" or "You don't know what this means, this may be part of something bigger that is going to happen there...." etc. What should I do? (I should mention that my dad is about to leave for Beijing, China, which has ME a bit uncomfortable considering that Americans are being targeted all over the world. )
