A thousand apologies for being so late posting this thread. Life got in the way in a crazy manner (not in a good way) :(

PNMs are already starting to get their recs in order. Hopefully, they are not waiting till the last minute! (Unlike the author of this thread) :D
And you know what that means:
It is almost that time of year again. So I am now starting the thread for 2019-2020.



Unless you are actually rushing or making a thread for a friend, a rec girl/boy or relative who is rushing, saying you are gonna rush and PMing me or posting the results, your name ain't gonna go on the list.
If after bid day, I happen to find that there is a new member in a forum, I will add them to the list--no biggie. If you come onto this thread and say you got a bid somewhere, I will put you down, it's all good

Everything does NOT need to go on social media...especially if you are acting a plumb fool!

The only rec I have written for this season was for the first cousin of a girl I wrote a rec for last year at Ole Miss. She is a Kappa and hopes her cousin will join her (me, too!).

I’ve got a few girls who’ve asked me ahead of time to write them recs for the spring and I’ve got my eye on a few girls rushing at smaller schools in the spring as well, with or without chi o chapters.

Gonna rush at Adelphi University. Gotta see when since it's informal for fall (and not all orgs participate) and formal for spring.

We have some new guidelines in terms of writing rec's so it has cut back the amount that I normally write.

I know of more incoming freshmen this year than I have for years, but does anyone plan to go greek? Noooo!

I can always hope that some of those ladies will change their minds. For the most part, they are the full package!

I did my first rec in a while for the daughter of my former administrator at work - she’s going through recruitment at Alabama, and has two family members who are Greek (Mom - Sigma Kappa, Aunt - ADPi). *fingers crossed*

I feel you! My God daughter - who is the closest thing I have to a legacy - will be participating in deferred recruitment at a small liberal arts college this coming spring semester. She will be the first Greek in her family. I am thrilled she wants to go Greek but have mixed feelings about not having Gamma Phi in the mix at her school. I'm sad she won't end up my sister but at the same time relieved to not have the pressure.

This is the first time in ages that I haven't written a single rec. There will likely be a last minute request, but it's sure been a slow summer for me so far!

I've had some last-minute recs, including Texas A&M- Corpus Christi and the University of South Carolina.

I just wrote a few. Will be updating the thread this weekend

I can relate to this. My goddaughter is still close to her Chi O sisters
This same goddaughter gave birth to a Chi O legacy 3 weeks ago :D

I am so excited. I was asked to write one for UNC-Chapel Hill! I've never been asked to write a rec and we had no experience with them when I was in college, so I am really looking forward to hearing about what happens!

I just counted...I've done 54 and have 8 to go. This is just for 2 high schools here with women going to Alabama, Auburn or UAB.

I now have one rec girl headed to CU Boulder!

My Auburn girl went Alpha Gamma Delta!

My OU girl went KAPPA ALPHA THETA!

My Georgia Southern rec girls BOTH went Zeta Tau Alpha!!! How crazy is that?!?!

I have one super sweet girl I wrote a rec for going through recruitment at UGA.

My two Mizzou recs went ALPHA CHI OMEGA and SIGMA SIGMA SIGMA!

None of mine have reported back. Grrrrrr.

My cousin went Alpha Chi Omega (her legacy house through her mom) at Oklahoma State! She got the full number of invites every day and had the luxury of going to her 2 favorites (from the beginning) at Pref. Because ... she got her recs! (The other of her Pref Houses is, maybe, the strongest recruiting chapter at OSU).

2 of my sorority sisters, their daughters went Theta and Pi Phi at OU.

Got a Bama Kappa Alpha Theta and a GA Tech Alpha Gamma Delta!
