Largest Lines

What is the largest lines you have ever seen of the blue and white family?
What is the largest line you have ever seen or any org?

PrettyKitty 10-11-2002 01:12 PM

I don't know about Sigma but a few years back there was a line of 44 or more at PVAM...I've heard of the Deltas taking a line of close to 200 women in the past...
Personally, I tend to like lines of no more than 15...2 me it encourages more unity and creates a tighter bond...but that's jmo!

mrstraci 10-11-2002 06:14 PM

I have heard of Delta lines also with 135 give or take initiates, this was in Alabama I think Montevallo

FanCy 10-12-2002 07:25 AM

As far as blue fam, TSU there was a line of 21 Sigmas...
Other orgs, my best friend is an AKA and she is 25 out of 52 (Famu)

I was #10 of 37 at Pvamu (Fall 2000)
and the Sigma's took over 21 that year.

Tru Blue Lady 10-26-2002 03:34 AM

adding to my other post........

The Delta's took over 87 that year
and the AKA's 54

Royal Phi-nesse 10-29-2002 01:01 PM

I am proud to say that I am number 18 of the 29 B.L.U. F.E.L.I.N.E.Z. of Lambda Beta Chapter's Spring 02 line at Jackson State University!!!

DOVE1920 10-29-2002 06:59 PM

In the midwest the largest line I've seen for Zeta is 16 and 16 for Delta.

GroovePhi62 10-31-2002 06:09 PM

Mone money money!!!

Ok lets do some Math...I know I my old campus the cost of joining two orgs was between $1000 and $1200 now you times that 54 to 100 that equals anywhere between $54,000-$120,000 that's one hell of a pot!
I personally am cool as hell with all sista's of Z-Phi-B like our sisters of S Phi S ya'll don't take no B.S. Keep it realll!

:D

I'm a Zeta at TSU.....how long ago was their line supposedly that big....i've never heard of it??

williammray 12-09-2002 10:59 PM

I'm from Gamma Epsilon (Alabama A&M University) our biggest line was 22 (Spring 85, Spring 90). However while I was in school the AKA's had lines of 114,84, and 78 and the Kappas got suspended twice and when they came back on the yard they had lines of 44 and 32

Pink Panther40 12-12-2002 04:25 PM

I was # 40 of a line of 44, which is largest P R E T T Y line that my school has ever had.:D

MSTISHA 12-15-2002 03:18 PM

What about 1 out of 1?....That was me all by my lonesome.

I was 1 out of 1 also. Did you miss not having a line sister or did you have a better time on line by yourself?

sosweet1920 02-04-2003 09:28 PM

Zeta Line: 26 B.L.U. B4 Y2K (Jackson State University)
Sigma Line: 12 or 13 @ Jackson State
Delta Line: 90 (Tenn State Univ)
AKA Line: 134 (94 + more) Y2Kute (TSU):o
SGRho Line: 14 (Tenn State Univ)

MSTISHA 02-05-2003 06:52 PM

I missed the sisterly bond you attain when there is a line but I also focused more on learning all I could. It turned out fine.

i know at a school in alabama, SIGMA GAMMA RHO line of 23, but i have have also heard of lines of 44 up north(i think it was in deleware), way back in the day as well.

i have seen more than a few schools crossing 100+ deltas and AKAs.

bluethunder 03-07-2003 10:27 AM

one more thing--

what is the point of having four hundred members cross when the only number that really matters is #3??? (tre club always and forever!) we all know that 3 is the number the house was built on!

PinkIvy 03-11-2003 04:01 PM

"Pink Panther40 I was # 40 of a line of 44, which is largest P R E T T Y line that my school has ever had. "

Pink Panther I am a 40 as well Beta Alpha (FAMU)

Anyways. . .
I have heard of lines as small 5 to lines as big as 125 (these are from all over the U.S.)

At FAMU
I think the biggest line I saw while I was there were the Deltas Fall 96 (50)

I go to Montevallo. How long ago was this line? I ask because their is only one member of DST left on this campus and she is about to graduate. The most their has ever been, as long as I've been here is about 12.

mrstraci 03-15-2003 12:41 PM

University of Montevallo

This was in the late '90's my cousin went there, he showed me the coming out show for all the new members and there were a lot of Deltas..at least 100

royalpinkastry 03-15-2003 03:06 PM

At Hampton University (Hampton, VA) the AKA's crossed a line of 65 (I think that was either 2000 or 2001...can't remember exactly).

flawlessrho01 03-30-2003 06:59 PM

At Grambling the DST line of Spring 02 had 78 and their grad had 20 (give or take 2).

I am #52 of 57, the line before me was 77!
The Deltas were known for having large lines at my school I remember they had 109 and I think like a line of 105. My school put a cap on a maximum line of 50 after my line, so I will be the last #52 eva!!!:D

My friend Brittany was a part of the Y2Kute (94 + More) AKA line, but she finished school here in Missouri though.

jojapeach 04-25-2003 09:38 AM

There definitely was a line of 23 (23 Pillars of Strength) for Sigma Gamma Rho for the chartering of Nu Omicron chapter at Georgia Southern University.

At Hampton, both spring 97 and 99 lines for Delta crossed 75 while the AKA's crossed 75 in spring 98. The cap at Hampton is 75

I know a soror who crossed at South Carolina State where over 100 crossed. We watched her probate show and we had to fastforward the tape to get to her introdcution!!!

i am not hating on anybody, but the only way i will sit through a probate of 100 people is if my mama or my sister is coming out! i went to a show of 50 and that was agonizing enough--and they didn't even say anything other than their name, hometown, and number!

It was 2000 (that was my best friends line). During the same year DST crossed 75 ladies as well. The largest lines I've ever heard/seen to go over at Hampton are lines of 75 (it was the universities cap, now it's 50)

DeeZetaLady 01-05-2004 10:46 PM

The largest blue & White line I've seen was 27 (zeta) and 21 (sigma). I think I'd prefer to deal w/ lines of no more than 15 or 16...20 is stretching it. I agree that it can take away from the bonding experience...

Just my opinion.

Be blessed, y'all...

DIVA1177 01-08-2004 06:57 PM

Largest that I have ever seen was down south with AKAs and Deltas. AKAs at one school crossed 81 and Deltas at another crossed one hundred and (I think) twelve...it was over 100 I know that for sure...I think I stopped counting for a minute and just estimated...:D

Inexorable1920 10-11-2005 10:26 PM

This is an old thread but just I would post.
At Grambling AKA crossed 200 in Spring 98 (They had been suspended for a couple of years so that was the first line back).
Zeta: Spring 97-23(Grambling)
Spring 98-20(Grambling)

As an alum of "AT", that is not totally accurate.

Correction in '96 I know that their membership intake was suspended and that the chapter was unable to have intake until '98. That information was per a friend of mine that was in the chapter. I think she crossed Alpha Theta Spr 95. Forgive me if I stated it wrong. I had several friends who crossed that semester and I was very proud of them for achieving their dream.

AKA2D '91 10-14-2005 10:43 AM

Really? Cause I remember it as being...
Oh wait... I forgot, you. are. a. Zeta. My bad! :o :D

Z-Phi till the day I die!!

200 or not. It was alot. I just remember my friend that crossed that semester saying it was 201 and that they sat a record for the largest line. Regardless I there for the probate and they represented hard for AKA. I still see Alpha Theta and Psi Beta (love my chapter :D ) are still representing at GSU. Much love to both!

DST4A00 10-27-2005 09:37 PM

biggest lines @HU ( at least during my tenure [1996-present] no I'm not still in school I just know what goes on there)

AFA-14?
AKA-137
KAY-14 (+)
WYF-14:confused:
DSQ- 54 in '83, 52 in '00<--personal knowledge
FBS- 6 or 7 (Intense help me out)
ZFB- 12 or 14
SGR- 8
IFQ- I have no idea cuz you never see them all

but on the subject of large lines, I really don't see the point. I know I probably wouldn't be talking as a Delta right now if my line hadn't been big but I stand by my point. What do you need with 100+, 90+, hell, 50+ people who are going to graduate in a couple of months?

Ok, I apologize. I know you all like to keep on topic.
