Music videos that freak you out
:eek:All of System of a Down's videos.
:eek:All Nine Inch Nail's :eek:All Marilyn Manson's :eek:Eminem's "Closet" :eek:Missy Elliot's "Minute Man" :eek:Sound Garden's "Black Hole Sun" Anyways what is supposed to be the interpretation of SOAD's newest song "Ariels in the sky"? I know it has to do something with aliens, but nothing specically. |
Demolition Man by Grace Jones
The one with Bjork inside the bear walking on the Earth Busta Rhymes - Put your hand where my eyes can see em |
Busta Rhymes - Gimme some Mo'

Where's your head at by Basement Jaxx. I LOVE the song but the video is interestingly creative...Human faces on the monkeys. Hmmmm......http://www.plauder-smilies.de/sad/nervous.gif
.BTW it's the song in the Pringles commercial |
When I was a little girl Annie Lennox's "Sweet Dreams Are Made of These" video FREAKED ME OUT! I hated that dot on her forhead and how like the camera zoomed into it...and then there were weird people playing strings with eye masks...with COWS around them. Can we say NUTS!
I also disliked any Kiss showing when I was a kid. That just was too much for me! Those faces and tounges! YIKES! OH! And Tom Petty's "Don't Come Around Here No More" where the girl turns into a cake and they all start eating her...or she gets washed up in a doughnut and put in coffee! I think the 80's videos overall were just freakish! |
videos that freak me out are dirty vegas days go by
I don't know why it just does. |
Yeah, I know, I'm not a big fan of "Days Go By," either...but I think it's because of that awful Mitsubishi commercial. :p

Anything by Tool........

Prodigy's Smack My B*tch Up

Another video that used to freak me out was Metallica's Enter Sandman. I think that video came out when I was about 15 years old and I remember watching it on MTV Headbangers Ball in the middle of the night with all of the lights off in my house. |

The only video that really scared me was the Robbie Williams one where he takes off his skin and you see all his muscles and veins exposed:eek:
I don't remember the song but that video was really gross! |

I don't know so much about the freak out factor, but the White Stripes "Dead Leaves and The Dirty Ground" is kind of haunting. Has anyone else seen it? The video is really cool; it tells three stories at one time but all the stories are about the same people. It's like watching a house haunted by ghosts. I really like it. |

OK, the most FREAK ASSS video of ALL time has got to be:
Aphex Twin "Come To Daddy"!!!!!! If you've seen it, you know what I mean! Grown men's faces superimposed onto little kids, this monster screaming in the face of this old lady! IT WILL FUKK YOU UP!!!!!! |

David Bowie & Trent Reznor "I'm Afraid of Americans"
When Trent is chasing that car, it is just strange. I would not want to look out my backwindow and see that. |
I may have mentioned this one in another thread
But Radiohead has a video, but I can't remember the name of it where a man is lying on the sidewalk and people are walking by to see if he needs help ( it has subtitles). So finally after many warnings he tells them but there is no subtitles then. The next thing you know, they are all on the ground but you, the viewer never find out why he's there!

"Warning" by Incubus...it just gives me a wierded out, creepy feeling.
I personally love System of a Down, my best friend and I listen to them all the time in the car. We think that we should go on MTV and be SOAD's Biggest Fans, and meet them wearing really cute letters. Wouldn't it be a trip to see 2 sorority girls being their biggest fans?! Their videos are a little crazy though. As for disturbing videos, I think that Eminem's "Stan" was really well done, to the point that the first time I saw it, I got goosebumps when the mom took the little brother's jacket hood off and saw his bleached hair. |
Aerials
I am a SOAD fan also ( I'm listening to Chop Suey right now) but I must say that kid scares me in the aerials video. Any video by slipknot creeps me out also.

Jeremy by Pearl Jam is a really freaky video, if I were those kids and my classmate shot himself, I would freak.
There is also a Nine Inch Nails video I saw were there were slabs of meat hanging, and they were torturing a monkey, it was disgusting. I agree, Warning is kinda strange, but I always laugh when she screams in that lady's face because the look on the woman's face is so funny. |
My favorite music video ever freaked out a couple of my bros, but everyone else either likes it or hates it...It's Rabbit in your headlights by U.N.K.L.E. feature DJ Shadow and Thom Yorke of Radiohead
Really makes you think. An obviously mentally disturbed man is walking through a tunnel and keeps getting jacked by all these cars. Really, really run over , but keeps walking and he has this winter coat on but he's sweating. When he finally takes the coat off another car runs into him but it crumples on impact with him and he stays standing - kinda deep if you see. |
Yeah can someone please explain "Arials" by SOAD? Are they saying that the kid is in danger? That he is being exploited? help!

My rant on System of a Down...
Argh, I can't stand SOAD! They were at a concert I went to this summer, and we ended up leaving about 20 minutes into their set because it was so horrendous. They were so loud and off-key that you couldn't understand what they were saying or even what song they were playing. Plus, they kept flashing these really bright lights into the audience so we couldn't see anything. I was hoping there weren't any epileptics in the audience because they probably would have had a seizure from the blinking lights. I started feeling nauseous and getting a headache from all of it. Don't get me wrong, I don't have a problem with loud music as long as it's good, but they were terrible. I kept thinking, "Man, am I getting old or something? This really sucks!" My boyfriend was with me, and he likes SOAD, but he agreed with me. I'm glad they were the last act so we didn't have to sit through them in order to see the other bands. If SOAD wasn't last, we wouldn't have been able to enjoy the other acts because we would have been deaf and blind from watching them!

The first time I saw this video was on MTV's censored videos special. I was amazed at how many times he got hit. |
