Poetry is one of the best ways to express the way you feel and instead of harnessing all of that frustration, anger, sadness, discomfort, or joy one can share it with others like talking about it. Poetry is a friend that listens well and at times gives great advice. Your poetry may inspire others to put their thoughts down on paper that may help someone else as they travel the road of life. It's funny that you, a brother, is being sent away from this forum. But hey, I have a brother that recites his own work.

To clarify my thread, I know that both organizations, Alpha Phi Omega as well as Gamma Sigma Sigma and also several others visit this forum so to say that this is not the place, I don't see why it would not be. This was simply a thread about if you write poetry or not and if so share some. As well as the other organiztions that are affiliated with Alpha Phi Omega. Much Love, One Love

Case in point, no poems have been posted here thus far. So it stands to reason that it wasn't the best place after all.

Like there is some in the forum started by yourself, Darden. In the Chill Zone. Why not show him what's here, instead of directing him out because he mention 25/52. southerner= unable to think alone. walks in packs surrounded by groups of other southerners, not by sheer want but by necessity being that they all share the same brain and cannot be separate less one or more may die cause they cannot think what to do next.

I could really get into the southerner, idea. Because, by your definition, any one group of people could be classified as a southerner, regardless of where they come from. They all have to have a form of Group-Thinking.

well some of us know....what a southerner truly is. that was just putting it nicely so as not to point fingers. Think now thats a word that is never paired with a southerner, cause no matter how hard they try and how long they go to school...it will never happen. thats why they are a dying breed

Some individuals are not even born a southerner, they only become one after being in the area for so long. So when you are something that can only become, and "never" are able to relinquish the title, you can only perpetuate more membership. Growth will be the only possible outcome.

To make comments like these are not only ignorant but prejudice at the same time. For you to be a member of the beloved fraternity of Alpha Phi Omega, I am shocked, shamed and appauled to even see words such as these uttered from your mouth.

For you to say that "it must have touched a nerve," wouldnt any person of the South be upset at these comments. We are not getting upset because we know there is some validity in your comments. We are upset because there is no truth in those words and, like I mentioned before, they are down right prejudice.

Correct me if I'm wrong... but are you regarding the principles and beliefs of 25/52 as being so-called "Southern?" If so, you are sadly mistaken.

Open you mind and enter the 21st century, because it appears you were dropped off in the 1950's.

not unless we are talking about another girl from cali who is apo and gss profiling it be down with both but all they care about is themsleves? maybe i wrong . Also darden, from what i hear you better worry more about DC than this forum because your really not holding anything down. This forum was started to talk about poetry, yes he said 25/52 fam but didnt apo start in 1925 and gss in 1952, so we are all 25/52 fam. And i could have swore there was a forum on that issue and i also could have swore that darden was saying that same thing about we are all fam and that gss and apo should be closer as a whole. But i could be wrong. And why is Q5 hating becasue she is both gss and apo. You should really hate yourself for joining 2 service org all i have to say is DUH and your not part of the fam as you claim so why you do it, thats a double DUH, how does that look " im in 2 service orgs that are co-ed" triple DUH and there the ones talking about people are ignorant.

Also its funny to me that the 2 people who see the org the same way and have the most negativity to say are so far apart, Q5 is in CALI and rashid is in DC. its so sad that only person you can identify with is so far so if this is what makes you happy then go ahead. Have fun in your internet world where you can sit behind a computer and be that person who you cant be in public, its not like you will say this in anyones face. So have fun in kiddy land, us grown foke need to talk about some REAL apo and gss issues.
