What a great time for this thread, because Alpha Phi was founded on September 30, 1872 at Syracuse University in New York. :)
Edited to add: Oops, I'm getting ahead of myself! We were founded on 9/30, but now celebrate Founders' Day on October 10 as we have since 1904 when the date was changed at Convention to accommodate schools with later starting dates. You can tell I'm just looking for an excuse to celebrate twice! ;) |

Alpha Delta Pi, founded May 15, 1851 at Wesleyan Female College in Macon, Georgia.
Wesleyan Female College also hold the distinction of being the first college in the world chartered to grant degrees to women. Phi Mu was founded at the same school in 1852. |

At nine o'clock in the evening of the eighth day of the eighth month of the year 1839, eight earnest young men, all students at Miami University, held the first regular meeting of Beta Theta Pi in the Hall of the Union Literary Society, an upper room in the old college building (known as "Old Main.") Sigma Kappa was founded on November 11, 1874 at Colby College in Waterville, Maine. It's the only organization like it to be founded in that state!

TAU BETA SIGMA National honorary sorority for members of the collegiate band (co-ed) was founded on: March 26, 1946 (Alpha Chapter) May 4, 1946 (Beta Chapter) Our founder was from the Beta Chapter at Texas Tech, the founding members couldnt get incorperated in Texas, so they gave permission to the Oklahoma women to become the Alpha, because they wanted the sorority to be national and they needed to be incorperated. |
to add to what BSUPhiSig'92 posted. Phi Sigma Kappa merged with Phi Sigma Epsilon in 1985. Phi Sigma Epsilon was founded February 20, 1910 at Kansas State Normal College in Emporia, now Emporia State University. So, in a way we have 2 founders days. Although I'm sure most chapters only really celebrate March 15th.
