Rush Experience
 

Hey everyone!

Okay......this is where I'm going to post my rush experience at UF!! Today was technecally the first day. What happened was they put all the women rushing in the University Auditorium (so many people!) and they gave us the low down on rush. Honestly, though, since I've been on GreekChat for a few months I pretty much knew all the stuff they told us (by the way..thanks for everyone's help in answering rushee questions http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/biggrin.gif). After that we were put into our Rho Chi groups. Mine are sooo sweet! One girl even said that if any of us have trouble getting up early in the morning to give her our phone # and she would give a wake up call! I thought that was funny. Anywho, I know what to wear, I know where to go, and I'm ready for rush!! Tomorrow we start round one parties which will last for 2 days. I will be in parties 1-5 from 9am-12pm and parties 6-10 from 4pm-7pm. I'll probably post later today (cause it's already past midnight) sometime at night. Alright guys, time for an update:

I just finished the first half of the first round of rush. I had such a good time today. All my nerves just went away. Today I visited DG, DPhiE, theta, kappa, PiPhi, and Sigma Kappa. I had so many great conversations and feel really confident about the whole thing. It's really unfair for me to rank them before I've seen all of the chapters ( 9 more tomorrow) so I'll leave that for tomorrow.

Anyway, so yesterday was the last day of round one, and my face muscles hurt so much from smiling!! lol, but it was lots of fun and I visited tri-delt, phi mu, kappa delts, zeta, chi-o, alpha chi-o, alpha omicron pi, alpha delta pi, and alpha epsilon pi...phew, that was a long day!! I'm about go meet with my Rho Chi's to find out which one's invited me back, and tonight we start round two. I had a good time at all the chapters, and its hard to pick a favorite from just 20 minutes of party, but if I absolutely had to pick which was my favorite right now it would be DG. I felt the most at home there, but who knows there are still plenty of rounds to go!

Hey guys! I just got back from getting my invitations and I got less than I thought I would http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/frown.gif The good thing though is that the invites I got back were all at chapters that I felt comfortable in, and would definetly accept a bid from any of them. I got invited back to Phi Mu, Alpha Chi Omega, Chi Omega, and Sigma Kappa. Round two starts today and continues on thursday (wednesday is the first day of school so there's no rush events) and then there will be more cuts. I'll post later on at night about how round two went! talk to you guys later!!

Well GOOD LUCK to you. I know you don't need it because you'd be an asset to any sorority...just be yourself and have fun. Take a step back and see what each house has to offer.

AACK!!! I am not participating in rush, so hearing these updates from these girls has me sooooo excited!!!! I keep checking on here to see how they are all doing, I am almost as nervous for them as I remember being for rush!!!!!!!! I love it UF girl, that you are giving us such great updates, I am so excited for you!!!! Geez, I almost feel like a mom! Worrying that my "girls" will get into the houses they want!

AOTTHottie--I agree!! I am helping another AOTT chapter do rush and its just not the same as being a collegiate member again, or a rusher!! ENJOY THIS TIME, collegiates!! You will miss it sooooo much!

Alright, so tonight will be the last day of round 2, and tomorrow we have to go get our invitations back at 6 in the morining (ugh):D It's okay though. I'm really excited about today. I will visit A Chi O and Chi O. I probably won't get back until after 11pm, so that's when I'll post a new update.

Round 2 is over!
 

Alright people so round two is finally over!! I had such a blast at all of the houses I went to. I'd honestly be happy at any of them! The girls were so cool and down to earth. Tomorrow morning I will get my invites for round 3, but won't be able to post an update until the afternoon because I have class til twelve-thirty. Wish me Luck!!

okay....I just got my invites for round 3 and I'm soooo happy. I got invited back to all the places that I fell in love with (i.e. phi mu, alpha chi omega, and sigma kappa) tonight will be round three and tomorrow morning we go get our invites for prefs!!

Alright, so round three is over and I think it was the best round yet. Along with getting to speak with chapter members we also got to watch a video at each house of
what sisterhood means to them, and then they sang and some of them cried......it was so sweet!!

Tomorrow I meet my rho chi's at 10am to find out where I go for prefs!!

I got invited back to all three houses!!!!!!!!:D
So tonight at prefs I go to Sigma Kappa, Phi Mu, and Alpha Chi Omega! Oh this is soo exciting! I have to go get ready, talk to you all later!!
