Who did you "pref" (like who were your last 3 choices, and who did you pick) on the last day of rush??

I had to choose between Chi O, Alpha Phi, and AXO

Went AX and really glad I did!! At the time, AX and A Phi were identical chapters, and Chi O was a bit more popular on our campus...

Alpha Gamma Delta, Delta Zeta, and Sigma Kappa.

I preffed at Phi Mu, Alpha Chi Omega, and Kappa Kappa Gamma.

I ended up with my first choice....Kappa! :)

We only had two Prefs. at UCSB so I went to Alpha Phi and Delta Gamma - and APhi was my first choice!

The prior round it was the two above, plus Pi Beta Phi and KKG.

i preffed AXO and Alpha Phi but suicided AXO. i only went to APhi because i was "forced" to go to 2 prefs and couldn't drop them. they wound up dropping off campus later that year.

We only have three organizations on campus, so pref included only two organizations....I went to Phi Mu and G Phi

I preffed four sororites: Alpha Theta Chi, Delta Phi Epsilon, Theta Phi Alpha, and Phi Sigma Sigma....I joined Alpha Theta Chi.

I was rushed over the summer before recruitment by Gamma Phi (when this was allowed in 1999 for the last time), so I was trying to keep an open mind throughout recruitment (although Gamma Phi was my favorite since the beginning).

I preffed Gamma Phi and AXO. I didn't really care what the second pref I went to was (I was gung-ho GPhiB at the time of choosing who to pref), so I got to choose from 3 of the four houses I went to for second rounds (I went to GPhi, AXO, Sigma Kappa, and Pi Phi for second rounds, but was cut from Pi Phi) so that made my choices easy. And, obviously, I made the right choice and got my wish!

i went to dg, kappa kappa gamma and pi beta phi (i was one of the 12 girls...out of the 212 who rushed...who was invited to come back to three parties...which was the max...so i felt pretty special :))

I know this thread has been done several times.. but I am honestly too lazy to look for it!!

I preffed Pi Phi, DG and ADPi. I wish I could say at the time I was do or die Pi Phi... but I also loved DG. However, I could not be happier with my decision or Pi Phi's!!!!

I cut nine of the twelve sororities on my campus after first round and was invited to Delta Delta Delta, Delta Zeta and Chi Omega for prefs.

I accepted the invitations from Delta Zeta and Chi Omega and then put Delta Zeta first on my card and haven't looked back :)

Between my two times rushing, I preffed Sigma Kappa, Delta Gamma, and Zeta Tau Alpha. I ended up ZTA.

I preffed DZ and AZD, and DZ was my number one choice. I wanted to suicide, but I thought that it might make my inelligible for a bid or hurt my chances, so I didn't. I don't know if I would have fit in at AZD.

I preffed Phi Mu and Tri Sigma... although after I signed the card, I wished that I would have preffed Chi Omega instead. I think I was just afraid that if Phi Mu didn't pick me, I would get a bid from Chi O and I would have to move out of my lovely apartment and back into the dorm.

ANYWAY all that doesn't matter now because I got my first choice ;)

I preffed Chi O and AZD.

I cried at the AZD party and not the Chi O because I knew I really only wanted Chi Omega. Now knowing what girls think about rushees crying, I hope I didn't get the hopes up of the girls at AZD who really liked me! I also went to lunch after NOT suiciding worrying I might not end up in Chi Omega! But it all worked out in the end!!!!

My university only had four sororities, so on pref night you could only attend two. I went to ZTA and AXO. I knew I had wanted Zeta since Tuesday and never changed my mind. Best choice I've ever made=)

You could attend two pref parties here but I only got asked back to one which was the only one i cared about! It was DG and I couldn't be happier with the fact that I only preffed there. Round before we could have gone to 4 but I only was asked to DG and KD...after that I knew I didn't really want KD that much and that DG was the one for me...I got chills during their 3rd round so i knew it was for me! I love it!!:D :) :D

I was invited back to AZD, AOTT, ASA and Phi Mu. I could only go back to two...AZD and AOTT. As much as I liked AOTT, I really felt more at home with the girls at AZD. But I think I would have been happy in either one. But AZD was my first choice.

Had Sigma Kappa been fully colonized by the time I rushed, I would have liked to have checked them out too.

I preffed at DG--of course, Tri Delt, and Alpha Phi. The preference at DG was the one that was the most heartfelt and stood out in my mind at the end of the night.

Alpha Gamma Delta and Sigma Kappa

Chi Omega and Delta Gamma...it was a hard choice, because I really liked DG, but in my heart I knew where I belonged:D

I preffed Chi Omega and Alpha Phi. I had a terrible time with rush because I really couldn't make up my mind. Everything came down to momentary whims because our top three were so close. I basically went into rush knowing that I was going to be a Chi O, an Alpha Phi, or a Delta Gamma....or nothing. I just wasn't interested in the other chapters, for the same reasons that KillarneyRose mentioned in another thread. Right or wrong, those three were the "popular" chapters and that was what I was looking for at that time. Naturally I love Chi Omega and am completely happy there, but I can truly say that I believe I would have been completely happy as an APhi or a DG too. I'm just glad that everything worked out for me and I was able to just kind of glide into my top 3.

I was invitied to two prefs, Phi Sigma Sigma and DZ... I really liked both groups, but I knew more women in Phi Sig... I single preffed Phi Sig on my card though, cos I misunderstood recruitment and thought that if Phi Sig didnt bid me, I would HAVE to go to DZ and I COULDNT get out of it... oi vey!

I preffed at Delta Delta Delta, Alpha Epsilon Phi and Sigma Delta Tau. Although I did like one of the other chapters, I really couldn't see myself there, and I was thrilled when I got my first choice. The third chapter I could not picture myself in at all, and I don't think that they were that interested in me either -- I have no idea why they invited me back to Pref.

I was only invited to Pi Phi for pref. I was disappointed at the time, because I loved Chi-O and Pi Phi all through rush. I knew I would choose one of those houses. I knew that I loved the sisterhood at Pi Phi and would be supremely happy there, still it hurts to get cut and we all know it is super-fun to go to rush parties! I wanted to check both of them out and I was looking forward to seeing Chi-O's pref ceremony! Anyway, I went Pi Phi but it is still great because I still hang out with all my wonderful Chi-O friends. :)

We were only allowed 2 pref parties, so I went to Kappa and ADPi. I got my first choice!

I preffed AXO, XO, Pi Phi! I still think XO and Pi Phi are awesome sororities on our campus and I think I still would have been happy in them also. It was hard to make a decision, but that's a sign of a really great greek school.

Alpha Phi and Phi Sigma Sigma :D

I preffed AZD and Gamma Phi Beta- preference made my decision really hard because I loved both chapters but I had felt more comfortable with AZD from the beginning. I still have friends in Gamma Phi too:) Maybe together we can make both chapters stronger:)

I had the hardest decision picking between Alpha Xi Delta and Sigma Kappa, I got my first choice but I still to this day love A Xi D. I never get upset losing good girls to them. And I can't wait for our sisterhood activity with them at the Cider mill!

I preffed at Alpha Gam and Alpha Phi. I got my first choice and haven't regretted a minute of it! :)

I preffed Pi Phi (duh), Chi Omega, and Kappa Kappa Gamma. Pi Phi was my first choice because of the girl who preffed me there..and she later became by Big!

Best decision I've ever made!

We can pref 2, so i did Alpha Chi Omega (Apparently :D ) and Kappa Alpha Theta... I went ACW and I'm glad I did. The girl who prefed me became my big sis and i love her to death. Also, we are a group of diverse girls.. north to south, partiers to non-drinkers, athletes to geniuses... and we know how to have fun.

I did feel bad though that I didn't go KAQ... cause since my brother is older than me and goes to my school... i'd met a few of the girls earlier when I visited my jr and sr year ... anyway, they were mad at my brother for a bit because they thought he TOLD not to go with them... anyway, sticky situation but I'm good friends with them still (as is he)!!

We only have Pi Phi and DG on campus, and although all week long, I was flipping between the two, I got preffed for both and after the pref ceremonies, I knew which one to choose. When I got my bid card and closed my eyes, I let my heart do the writing. I've not regretted it since then.

I went through over two years ago. I prefed with DG and ZTA. But there was no contest. The number 1 for me, was always Delta G! And I have never looked back.

I'm sorry, but I am not familiar with any of your sororities. I am just curious about how your pledge system works. I have to say I was confused reading the responses. What is the deal with the preferences thing?
