Halloween Costumes
 

Hey... I am trying to decide what to be for Halloween. Does anyone have any good ideas? What are you going to be?

Look up 'Athen's (and/or Ohio University) Blockparty' on the net and you'll get plenty-o-ideas. If you're not familiar w/this what happens is simply Ohio University is flooded w/drunken students all dressed up in the wacky costumes. It's freaking awesome :) :) :)

For this Halloween I and going as a Catholic School Girl, I know, over done, but it is fun and it justifies me buying this plaid skirt that I have wanted for the last few years.

Always Wanted to put a clear plastic bag on and goes as a Pr&^%$!

Went as the Jolly Green Giant Painted Green, Ex went as Amozon with bone in hair!

A few of my sorority sisters and I have decided to go to our Halloween date party as an 80s girl rock band, with our dates dressed as our roadies. :D

Arya, when I read your post the first thing that popped into my mind is last year's description of you in your Britney/naughty schoolgirl outfit! Always nice to start the day off with a good laugh :)

How about being a Hooters girl? Me and two of my friends did that two or three years ago. It was pretty funny because we didn't tell our significant others what we were doing. We showed up to the party with sweatpants and sweatshirts. Boy were they surprised when we took the top layer off!

Okay, this was just the creepiest post ever.

My all time best was a dead sorority girl. Black pants, black heels, black top.... and then I did the pale face/dark circles ect and my hair all messed up. I wore the clothes the night before to bed so they were all roughed up, and I carried a blake Kate Spade with all sorts of weird stuff in it....

you're right, it is awesome (and the third biggest block party in hte world from what i've been told)! too bad i don't remember all of that night last year :( Anyway, you could be a Dr. Seuss character, do some kind of play on words (examples include Hawaiian Punch, serial killer, ect.), the possibilities are endless.....

I think I want to be Wonder Woman this year!!!

Hmmm now all I have to do is find a costume for that... :p

Maybe for costume ideas you could go to an online halloween store to get ideas.

I personally like the idea I saw in the "Bad Girls Guide to Getting What you Want". Take an old bridesmaid dress, drench it in ketchup and be "Carrie":)

Last year, at a costume contest at a bar at home, dressing up as Jesus won a man several hundred dollars. There were also the dead prom queens. I went as in 70s digs. Friends went as hula girl, soccer player, britney, forrest gump and capt dan (complete with wheel chair). That was the best.

Year before that (2000), did an urban cowboy costume and got caught in rioting at school. Friends went as a firefighter, cat, britney again, witch, french maid, police officers, doctors, male love slave with a belt around the neck. There was quite a crew.

My most comfy costume was what a sister and I wore for an exchange, we went in pajama pants, animal slippers, pig tails and painted rosy cheeks and freckles. Complete with teddy bears in hand. It was easy, cheap and so nice to wander around the party and bars and afterhours in pjs.

Maybe instead of being a dead prom queen you could try a beauty queen?

Last year I was "Miss America"... i made the cutest sash that said Miss America 01-02 on it, wore a dress from the previous year's formal with gloves and the works, and bought a tiara and sceptor on ebay that looked like they were real diamonds ;) The girls loved it.

This was when i was like in 7th grade. Ok it was little unique, people didn't get it.

I was a person that got struck my lightning. Yeah so I curled, teased, and hair sprayed my hair until it stuck out staight. Then I shreaded some old clothes and put black powder or something to make it look like shinged clothing. I also made a lightning bolt to put in my hair. I also put black paint on my face and arms. What can I say, it was different. One lady asked if I was a TV, I was like do you see a box with knobs on me? Maybe some how if i had like smoke coming off me like dry ice people would of got it.

I might try to be the lightning person again this year but the logistics of putting dry ice on me is stumping me. And it would be hella cool if smoke was coming from my hair. But again I don't know how I would do it. I can always light my hair on fire LOL Just kidding. Does anyone have any ideas??? Thanks

SigmaChiCard, one year my boyfriend and I were going to try and dress "together".. I was going to be Cleopatra, and he was going to be Julius Cesar. We were also thinking doctor & nurse.

One couple I saw at last year's Halloween party were dressed as M&M's... the girl was of course the green M&M and the guy was the yellow one. I thought it was cute ;)

Everyone always tells me I look like Agent Scully from the X-Files, so one year I put on a black pantsuit, pinned on a makeshift FBI badge and carried a green inflatable alien doll. I won costume constests for that one!

My boyfriend is a total nut about Halloween, so I had to have a good costume this year. He is going as Death, and I am going to be a Fallen Angel, complete with black feather wings and glow in the dark halo. I am still trying to decide which accessories I will use.

This thread has some FABULOUS couple costume ideas. Others that we considered were Doctor/Patient, Flapper/Mobster, and Vampire/Buffy the Vampire Slayer. One of the BEST couple costumes I ever saw was a couple dressed as a lightbulb and a plug. He was the plug, and when their costumes connected, she light up! I have no idea how they did it, but it was hysterically funny!

Maybe I should go as the cover girl for "Girls Gone Wild" video. ;)

OK, dont think i am wierd or something, but i always wanted to dress up like a roach or some other gross bug, and then do a couple thing, and the person you were with dresses up as an exterminator. i think it would be really cute!
