Texans vs. Cowboys
Ok, I used to be a Cowboy fan but since Houston got the new football team, I am all about the Texans...How many of you all saw the game? Who were you going for??
ronnie |
Nope, sorry Herm, I was working. I didn't even know they were playing today. I haven't made up my mind about who I like better; I guess Houston b/c it's closer to where I'm at. :p
|
Way to go hermaneeta. It's all 'bout them TEXANS!!!
|
Yeah, i missed the game cuz we were in our meeting, but GO TEXANS!
I'm not from Houston either, but being from the San Antonio area and going to A&M which is an hour from Htown i'm gonna root for em. And, oh yes Cowboy's fans, who's your daddy? ;) 19-10. Kitso KS 361 |
We watched the game this evening for a rush event. My roommate is a concierge for the Texans and I might be getting a job at Reliant Stadium as well. It was a great game tonight definitely a historical moment for the NFL.
|
NO DOUBT ABOUT THAT!!!
|
I watched bits and pieces of the game, but it was a very fun and exciting game (well the parts that i watched)
I can't wait to actually go to reliant stadium, i have heard nothing but great comments! |
I missed the game because I was @ our meeting, but I hear it was interesting!
|
You would figure Texan fans would hate the Titans more.
|
I am a Cowboys fan!! I don't like the Texans, and even though I know live near Houston, I'm from Dallas and refuse to change team loyalty.
The Cowboys do need to realize what the rest of the world knows and understand that Quincy Carter will never be a good quarterback. He just won't. Time to get a new one. But, as Mr. ChiOJenn said, "Let us never speak of this again". Grrrrr....  |
That was one of the ugliest games I've ever seen - I think I saw better football on saturday than in Reliant stadium.
I love the outcome though - that's b/c I like the Eagles though. How pissed were the Texans fans when Jermaine Lewis missed that slam-dunk at the end of the first half? I nearly killed the man myself - that was freaking awful. |
Maybe I'm just being shallow...or maybe it's just my ridiculous fetish with QBs, but damn that David Carr is hot.
Who cares if he's married AND he's from Fresno State [booooooo!]? |
Oh yeah!
So I went to bed early (like a nerd). I only stayed at the Cowboys/Texans party until 10:45 ET. Had to go to bed to teach this morning. So I get to school and ask the students who won. They had no clue... Anyway, I am stoked! It's about time Houston got some R-E-S-P-E-C-T :) Looks like the Texans are off to a great start. P.S.: 2 of my sisters are Texans cheerleaders. Big shout out to Bonnie and Tiffany (aka: Tiffany-Michelle) |
I've been raised to HATE the Dallas Cowboys. Which i happily do :O)
BUT, i do have to root for Antonio Bryant. I don't follow his carerr much, but as a Pitt alumni, i have to wish him the best. OF COURSE- THE STEELERS kick ass! Hehe, hope they smack around the Pats tonight! |
the Steelers SUUUUUCKED
I don't even want to talk about it, other than I'm pissed off. |

Go COWBOYS!!!
I've been a fan since the late 70's when I was a little kid. No matter how bad it gets for us, I will ALWAYS be a TRUE COWBOY fan. ChiOJenn78, just wait, our day will come...:D NP |

Still, I have bitter feelings when it comes to Fresno State. You would too if you were assaulted by Bulldog fans during the 1999 WAC Basketball Championship. Isht like that just isn't cool yo. Must be the water. |

HOW 'BOUT DEM COWBOYS!!!
Gotta love that... Emmit might have to play another year to get that rushing record :D |

Ronnie...My Cowboys can beat up your Texans...so there:p |
I will always be a Cowboys fan-born a and raised on Cowboy football just like Aggie football. I was addicted to the HBO special they were doing about the Cowboys training camp though I won't be surprised if they come in dead last. I don't undersatnd why you would hire a guy that has not thrown a football in 4 years to be the back up quarterback to a guy that is already iffy as the main quarterback-but then again I don't get paid the big bucks.
GO COWBOYS!!!! |

Since I go to Fresno State, I should defend my school. Football has been a long standing tradition at Fresno State. We have fans that have been going to games for over 50 years. And yes we do have roudy fans......but when college boys get drunk what do you expect. They have cracked down on us with security. We ripped down the goal post after smothering Oregon State last year. Since then we haven't been allowed on the field after a game. We have had problems with throwing bottles at the opposing teams, but now they kick you out if you throw a bottle. All the fraternity guys sit in the front rows, so they tend to be the ones to get kicked out. We have had to earn respect from everyone, including ESPN. For the longest time we were the underdogs, but I think that we proved ourselves pretty well....well better than in the past few years. You have to remember that we went from David Carr, football god, to Pinicker, a red shirted freshman. Pat Hill is a great coach. He makes the players go to class, if they dont go to class, they dont play. And by the way Hawaii is one of our biggest rivals. Even though we love to beat the other CSU schools, our big goal is to beat Hawaii. |

Dom Capers = Big Balls
'Nuff Said. Kitso KS 361 wins the Texans will have if they get themselves a big-time running back |
Cowboys.
God came down from the heavens and shown his hand upon the Cowboys and said "Thou art the chosen few". They will face adversity and struggle, but in the end the faithful shall meet their final reward. Or at least that's the Sunday school in my house growing up;) It almost made my dad cry when I told him DH is a Chiefs fan:rolleyes: |

My boy got traded from New Orleans to Houston, he loves Texas. I say screw the Cowboys. I never liked Jerry Jones. |
I may live in the Dallas metro area, but that does not automatically make me a Cowboy fan.
GO FINS! |
I never really cared what happened to the team down I-35 from me until they picked up one of my favorite OU players of all time, Roy Williams. Now I watch just to see what #31 make great plays. Rumour has it he drives a Crimson & Cream clad Caddy:cool:
