It is almost that time of year again. So I am now starting the thread for 2017-2018.



Unless you are actually rushing or making a thread for a friend, a rec girl/boy or relative who is rushing, saying you are gonna rush and PMing me or posting the results, your name ain't gonna go on the list.
If after bid day, I happen to find that there is a new member in a forum, I will add them to the list--no biggie. If you come onto this thread and say you got a bid somewhere, I will put you down, it's all good

I've got one rec girl at Kennesaw State so far

I've got about 30 to do over the weekend!

I have two rec girls, neither of whom thinks it is necessary to get recs for Theta at Auburn. Or for any of the other chapters, actually. So I don't get to play in this thread, do I?

*face palm* me thinks they're going to be disappointed. Auburn is pretty competitive.

Also feeling left out for now as my distant cousin's daughter is attending a school where we have no chapter. Formal recruitment for her is in Spring, so it will take awhile to learn whether she ends up in an NPC home.

Absolutely. Auburn is SEC with very large chapters (no, not Bama large, but still very large). Does Bama hold the record for high membership per chapter?

Several for UGA, a couple for Georgia Southern, one for Florida, and one for NYU.

I have a daughter going to Mizzou and I have done rec's for:

2 Ole Miss
1 Michigan
1 Missouri (in addition to my own DD)
1 Univ of Texas

So far I have one for Clemson and one for Alabama, but I think I'll have a couple more before the end of the season.

I think Bama, South Caroline, Ole Miss and Arkansas go back and forth with the largest chapters, all with most chapters over 400.

This year I have one each at Florida, UAB, TCU, Auburn and the U of Memphis. Two are going to UT Knoxville. Fingers crossed they all have successful recruitment experiences.

Daughter #2 decided this week she wanted to go through recruitment. I registered her yesterday and she's on a mad dash to get her recs. This should be an interesting ride and hopefully story at the end.

I have one at Texas Tech as well!

I did 4 for Alabama and 1 for University of Tennessee - Knoxville. I hadn't done one in YEARS, and it was fun getting back into it. Things have changed now that everything is online.

When will the first recruitment of the season start and where?

It used to be Oklahoma State but they are starting a week later than in the past. Maybe Troy?
I believe Auburn and Alabama start in the next day or so, think I saw some photos posted from Georgia (which seems a bit early to me).
Lots of bid days next weekend August 19-20 for sure!
