Foreign country travel

What foreign countries have you traveled to?
What did you enjoy about each country?
I've traveled to:
Canada- Vancouver area, beautiful city. Very clean. Mont Tremblant, Quebec, Canada- A ski resort town not too far from Montreal.
Mexico- Enjoyed several beaches in Cancun/ Cozamel.
Various Carribean islands on several cruises.- Beaches!
Bahamas- More beaches!
England- Friendy hospitable people, pretty countryside. London is GREAT!!!!!! The history there is so old, that it is almost incredable.
Israel- Also ancient. It is interesting to actually see places that are mentioned in the Bible.
Italy- Ancient as well. From Roman times, like England. Pompeii is facanating! It is a town that got covered with volcano ashes and was preserved.

Mexico - I live in San Diego California. I go to TJ whenever I want.

Phillipines - Too young to REALLY remember, but this was before the Estrada presidency so it was a lot better then than it is now.

AOX81 08-28-2002 08:11 AM

My list is very short:

Canada -
Quebec - Had lots of good restaurants!!

Ontario - Don't have much to say about Ontario. I go there for family reunions and that's about it. Windsor is kind of nice because a ton of bars are located all in one area so you can walk from bar to bar. What I don't like is that you can't by liquor at a corner store!!!

Mexico -
Cancun - Had lots of bars/nightclubs, good restaurants to eat at, and an awesome beach.

Tijuana - Too many little kids running around trying to sell Chicklets!

Bahamas -
Nassau - We mostly stayed at our resort because the downtown area wasn't that great. The beach at our resort was very nice!

my goal is to visit Cuba sometime in the next 5 years. I figured there's somewhere btwn 5 and 10 years before Castro dies. And y'all know that Havana won't be the same once development starts.

Sadly, when he dies there are already people in line to take over where he left off. I suggest moving to another country, getting citizenship, apply for a passport and take your trip then :)

Jill1228 01-23-2005 03:24 PM

Haven't travelled to as many places as Mr. 1228 (he travels on business quite a bit) but here goes

Canada (Vancouver and Toronto). Toronto is one of my all time fave cities (much to the dismay of Mr. 1228, who is from Montreal)
England. Loved London, the underground, the shopping, the people
Mexico (Cozumel)-loved the beaches
Grand Cayman-beaches
St. Maarten, Netherland Antilles (the beach and the people)
Jamaica-the scenery
