There are only a few good things that came out of Clarion- Chris Kirkpatrick of NSync, Kurt Angle (Pre WWF!) and any PHI SIGMA SIGMA!

Rush starts on November 10th with the first parties at all 19 houses, and Bid Day isn't until January 7th. I can't wait until it gets here!

Rush workshop (now called spirit week) starts Aug 11, and recruitment starts Aug 20. That is the day the dorms open, and 2 days before classes start. I am so stoked! Good luck everyone!

At SDSU school starts September 4th, and rush starts September 15th. I can't wait!!

JSU's rush starts August 31st and lasts all through labor day weekend! I just got all my recruitment registration info in the mail today. SOOO EXCITED! http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/smile.gif

Where do you go to school that rush lasts from Nov to Jan? Also are you on the quarter system and not the semester system??

That's crazy! LSU hasn't done rush like this since 98 when a bunch of my friends went through. I guess its to give you more time with your new sisters before school starts? Maybe also they'll be pushing initiation up to the end of fall semester again - last year it was in the spring, I believe.

I can't believe the fee went up that much! Housing costs SKYROCKETED this year. My apartment cost 1700/semester last year. Its up to $1957/semester now.

Usually you move into whatever dorm you're going to live in that year and then just go to rush parties according to your personalized schedule, and meet with your Rho Chi at the end of the evening.

Have you called Grace King (res life) yet? They should be able to tell you wehre you're living. Also, if you go to www.lsu.edu, you can find the place to check housing assignments online. Good luck!

I go to Indiana University. We use the semester system. I really have no idea why rush is so spread out. In the middle of November we have the 19 Party. And then there's no real rush activity until January 2 or 3. We have 12, 6, 3, and Pref during this week.

Our work week starts August 8 and the first round of parties is August 15.. Bid day is August 19 and the first day of classes is August 20. I can't wait to see where everyone on here going through ends up!

Hehe...the exact opposite of me! I thought the apartments opened up on the 17th and was all bummed when I found out it was the 23rd. I can't WAIT to get back to LSU. Football this year is gonna be awesome! Especially the Tulane game http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/smile.gif Can't wait!

The University of Arizona's rush starts on Aug. 15 to the 20th. School starts on the 20th and work week starts the 8th. so we will be working hard. Good luck to you all with it.

Formal Rush starts September 20 and lasts until 25th. We have to go back on Sept. 12th for workshops! We have workshops for 2 weeks! Ack! I'm excited since I'm helping with rush and a good friend of mine who is a transfer will be rushing, I would love to take her as my lil sis! Wohooo!

Pre-Rush starts Aug. 8 and Rush itself starts Aug. 14. Bids go out on the 19th and school starts the 20. It's coming so fast!

Our chapter has COB the first three weeks of school (EEK I'm nervous for my first rush!), and formal rush is in mid-January.

What is Pre-Rush?

Pre-rush is when the sorority gets together and gets everything in order for recruitment week. We call it rush workshop or spirit week at my school. We practice good rush conversations, iron out any last minsute details, and look at rush applications. We also do a lot of sisterhood building activities. It gets the chapter more unified, which definitely helps during rush.

University of Alabama rush I believe is Sept. 2-9...that's what it was last year..and I was informed it's the same this year. http://www.greekchat.com/forums/ubb/eek.gif

Work week starts on Aug 20-25. School starts the 28th! Rush doesn't begin until September 7th or so. The fraternitys go through recruitment a lot sooner than sororities though. I am super excited about rush! I hope I get a little and I can't wait to add a bunch of wonderful girls to my house!
