Dear Santa/Hannukah Harry, please bring me...

Yes, I know it's August, but you can't tell me at least ONE of you isn't thinking about want you want for Christmas/Hannukah/your special winter holiday. Post your list/letters here.

Dear Hannukah Harry,

I have been very good this year. Please bring me:

*Another bookcase, unless you bring me some self-control to take to Barnes and Noble

*A big Amazon.com gift certificate

*The publication date for Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix

*An Elsa Peretti "Aquarius" pendant from Tiffany's

*Lots of new members for the ZE chapter of Kappa Kappa Gamma

*A new pair of Stuart Weitzman pumps

*A Disney "Alice in Wonderland" 50th anniversary watch

*Decent weather the weekend of my wedding

*one pair of jeans that fits (stop that laughing)

Shalom,
KSG

Dear Santa,

Thanks so much for giving me a good year so far. I asked you last Christmas for a great year...thank you! This year, please bring me:

-Kent...healthy, safe, and unharmed from Ranger School. I'd like him in one piece when he finally gets to Hawaii. I'm in desperate need for him to sweep me off my feet!

-my long awaited...coveted...BA degree in Political Science and Asian American Studies.

-balances of $0.00 for my Visa, Mastercard, and Macy's credit cards

-a brand new Ford F-150 [color to be determined later]

-a new rack for my car...but should you give me that F-150 then disregard this one!

-a new surfboard [preferably Aipa] because the one I have is oooooold!

-that Paloma Picasso bracelet from Tiffany's that I've been eyeing out

-a decent Hollywood movie [not Blue Crush] that finally understands the art of surfing and living in Hawaii

-a clean bill of health for my mom

-an outstanding group of New Members for Delta Sigma and for all Alpha Gam chapters...especially our new Chapman Colony!

I think that's it for now. Should I have any more to add to this list, I'll be sure to let you know.

Mahalo and Aloha,
OTW

Dear Santa:
So far it's been a great year.. and I've been a good girl for the most part, so I'm sending you my wish list this year:

* my boyfriend who now lives in missouri.. safe & sound to my doorsteps!
*good grades in all my classes
* a great job in the DFW metroplex
* a roomie who is not a spawn of Satan
* cool new gadgets and gizmos for my puter
* a nice, shiny SUV

Hootie 08-17-2002 05:13 PM

Dear Santa,
I've been delt a lot of crap this year so I'm demanding:

A nice, new, red, jeep liberty, tinted windows, multiple disc cd player with a sun roof.

All my rent paid for.

A's in all my classes

A shopping spree

I know that sounds bossy, but hey...you know I'm worth it.

Thanks!
;) :p :D

prospectiverushee 08-17-2002 10:48 PM

Dear Santa,

Well first I want to thank you for a pretty good year. Thanks for making my first year in Dallas more exciting then I could ever imagine. Thanks for leading me my current job by making me a temp in the HR department first. But must of all thank you for giving me the strength to put up with all the crap at said job while I was pledging.

That being said this is what I would like this year:

-an unlimited budget so that I can get t-shirts and all kinds of other greek-related items :)

-money to go to convention so that I can meet all my new sisters

-a high paying rewarding job

-for Publishers Clearinghouse to come knocking on my door with a check for 100 million dollars

-for all my student loans to paid off so that I can go to grad school debt free

Santa, I don't think that I'm asking for two much. You know how hard I've worked this year. But if for some reason you can't grant all my wishes, could you at least send a decent paying job my way and pay off all my student loans?

Thanks so much,
makeda

EagleChick19 08-17-2002 11:05 PM

Dear Santa,

I've been really good this year. If you could, could you see that I get:

-some of DMB's early albums (i.e. Live at Red Rocks)
-The new Harry Potter book....whenever it comes out
-some DVDs
-and a nice boyfriend :)

Thanks,
EagleChick19

chideltjen 08-18-2002 12:17 AM

Dear Santa:

I would like:

- a clean bill of health so i can pass all of my classes and graduate in May (last year I had mono :eek: )

- a Flat screen for my computer... look at me i am drooling

- a cd burner (USB connection)

- A really successful semester/year for my girls at SSU and Sac State and hopes that the high they are on (not that type of high :rolleyes: ) continues for a long time. They deserve it.

- as much as i would like a boyfriend, i kinda just like hanging out and meeting all of these new guys. So being single rocks! But relationships aren't all that bad :)

- For the state of CA to pass their frickin budget so I can get a job for the state.

- For my family to make it thru the slight budget crisis.

aggieAXO 08-18-2002 01:06 AM

Dear Santa,

Please make my mom and brother feel better-that is the most important thing this year.

If possible and if not asking too much, please give me a new cell phone and a DVD/VCR player.

That will do it.

pbpck 08-18-2002 03:17 AM

Dear Santa-

Made some big decisions recently, so first and foremost I need some DIRECTION...a sign to tell me I am on the right path. I hope sacrificing a timely graduation date for a semester abroad is worth the time and financial burden.

A job that I can actually put on a resume when I graduate and apply to grad schools/ internships, etc.

For good health to find too many of my relatives in the hospital right now.

A bijillion dollars...the proverbial college wish. but, lord, would that make things a heck of a lot easier.

aephi alum 08-18-2002 08:36 AM

Dear Hanukkah Harry,

I've been a good girl this year. I would like:

- A job in my field (feel free to deliver this one early :) )
- Success in my certification exams
- The winning Powerball numbers before they are drawn (esp. if the jackpot is over $100 million ;) )
- The stock market to recover, so my portfolio is again worth the paper it's printed on
- My lawn and new plants to recover from this heat wave
- A new car that I can actually drive when it snows
- The new Harry Potter book, and make sure I get to it before my husband does ;)

Please feel free to take away:

- Those last 10 pounds I've been trying to lose
- My husband's allergy to cats... I want a kitten :)

Harry And Santa, While I do not have a whole lot and do not need much, please jsut make sure one of my computores work!

The rest is very simple, just grant all of the wishes to my friends on GC as they are The Bestest of the Best!

We try to do a lot of good work, and I think it is helping on this Site for what we have accomplished and are still trying to do!

No way! Hannukah Harry comes to my house every year and leaves presents under the Hannukah bush. Then he eats the extra plate of latkes we leave for him.

Just kidding :) Yes, my use of Hannukah Harry is a joke, but who else are we Jewish people supposed to write to? Hooray for SNL.

Dear Santa,
I have been pretty good this year and I would like

-the guy I am currently talking to, to ask me to be his girlfriend
-a 2003 Red Isuzu Rodeo with leather seats
-to win the lottery so I can pay off my student loans
-to make all A's in my classes

juniorgrrl 08-18-2002 09:11 PM

Dear Santa,

I've been a really good girl this year, so I would like it if you could bring:

*Good health to everyone in my family
*Jobs to those I am close to that are unemployed right now and are having a hard time of it (Please bring those now!)
*The strength to be successful in my ultra-stressful first year of law school
*Happiness to everyone that I know!
*For my boy to get a job (see #2) and be able to move close to me in Baton Rouge.
*For the police to catch the serial murderer (Please bring this now now NOW!)

Oh yeah, and a navy blue Passat would be nice too :)

carnation 08-18-2002 09:47 PM

Dear Santa,

As for intangible things such as health, happiness, more teaching hours, and peace, I'll talk to the Man Upstairs about those. Likewise, getting this house sold. However, there's one tangible thing we're hoping for:

Please bring us at least one more little daughter!

lionlove 08-18-2002 09:56 PM

Dear whomever,

This year bring me:

Hope because there are so many people in the world without it.

Peace because to have hope you need peace.

Love because there is no chance for hope and peace without love.

and finally,

Joy which will come as a result of the above three being granted.

I hope I'm not being to greedy.

sweetie adpi 08-19-2002 12:02 AM

dear santa,
please oh please won't you bring me some motivation to actually do well this year in school..... as well as:

peace, love and happiness for my family, friends, and myself....

thank you very very much.
~jenaya

p.s. oh yeah and if you could possibly swing a trip to italy in there, i'd really appreciate it.

SoCalGirl 08-19-2002 01:27 AM

Santa Baby! I've been such a good girl.

Good health for Mom.

A platinum chain.

A 16" w.g./y.g. reversable Omega necklace.

The will power to go the the gym at least once a week. Don't want the weight loss to plateau. :(

For the Powers that Be at E! to cancel the Anna Nicole Show. It's like watching a train wreck. I can't turn it off. :o

A great big fabulous new member class for Beta Psi and Zeta Mu.

A girls only trip to Vegas!!!

A MAN! Preferably Prince William. :D Yummy!

moe.ron 08-19-2002 05:39 AM

Already got what I want, Phish back on the road. Though I would like tickets.

But I do want a job after my contract end. So far I got 4 offers, and they are all, uhm, interesting. Decent pay but really messed up places. So I would like an offer where i can have a high internet speed so I can actually do the etree thing.

KappaKittyCat 08-19-2002 10:44 AM

Dear Santa,

I'm sorry there weren't any cookies out for you last year, but I hope you enjoyed the wine & cheese & fudge. I know that I've leaned towards "naughty" on several occasions this year, but I've never not been nice. In fact, I'm always nice, even when I'm being naughty. That said, I understand that you have more important things to take care of this year, but if you could spare the elves, I'd greatly appreciate your consideration of this list.

What I Would Like For Christmas (Please):
  • Quota to double at my school (permanently);
  • To bid quota without the need for snapping and COB to total by the end of the year (or at least have more members than you-know-which chapter, and feel free to start on that one early);
  • A house for my chapter;
  • Chapter presidency;
  • Sufficient financial security to move to Pittsburgh next summer and get my Dalcroze certification from CMU;
  • A certain adorable, dreamy-eyed, wavy-haired filmmaker to sweep me off my feet and tell me he can't live without me;
  • My parents to get off my case about when I'm going to graduate;
  • Permission to have a kitty in my dorm room (I can find the kitty myself at the Humane Society);
  • And as the angels say, Peace on Earth & Goodwill toward Men.

Thank you.

My best to the Missus, the elves, and the reindeer.

Yours very sincerely,
KKC

PS: I'll be singing at church again on Christmas Eve, so if you happen to be in the area, feel free to stop by.
