Hey everyone! Well, it seemed like rush was right around the corner and now it actually is! I start rush tomorrow at 5:30 (PM) for rush orientation! Yay! I'll keep you all posted on how it goes.... ciao!

Have a wonderful time! Because my sorority was local when I pledged, I wasn't able to go through any formal recruitment process. I plan on living vicariously through you and all the other "rushees" on GreekChat. Best of luck and remember to listen to your heart.

Good Luck during Rush/Recruitment and make sure to take time for yourself during this VERY stressful time!

I'm sure you'll end up where you are meant to be, even if that means you're unaffiliated this year! :cool:

On my campus there are: ADPi, ChiO, DDD, KD, KKG, PiPhi & ZTA (alphabetical order no favorites yet)....um, i think that's all of em.

Lots of great groups to choose from, from what i've heard

P.S. Thank you to all of you who are so supportive on here...i don't know what i'd do without all of your great advice!

Hey guys! I am so sorry that it has taken me sooo long to update!!! I just moved into the dorms yesterday and there is no internet hookup...i know...tragic isn't it? Anyways, i'm in the computer lab in the student union now and here's your update: Orientation was great! We were split up into our small groups with our Gamma Chis. Everyone is really sweet and the skits were ADORABLE! There was even a skit on MTV's "Sorority Life" too funny...let me tell you.... Anyways, we got out t-shirts and some candy and goodies there and talked about "recruitment" a little bit. After that, we went and watched a hypnotist....kinda corny dude, but entertaining.
The Next Day.... Ok, today, i went to all of my parties in my large group. My group consisited of about 70 or so girls and we visited all 7 houses today. They were in this order..heehee... : ZTA, DDD, KKG, PiPhi, lunch...... KD, ChiO and last but not least, ADPi. I had a BLAST at all of the houses! I thought maybe i'd be able to sort them out on which ones wouldn't be for me, but i loved all of them, some more than others.... I loved DDD, ZTA, ADPi and KKG a lot! but the other ones were fantastic too! I honestly don't have a clue as to where i'll end up! Everyone was soo nice and friendly and comforting, b/c they knew we were all super nervous. Anyways, i go back tonight at 10:30 to find out which houses i've been invited back and i can not wait! I don't know if this lab is open then, but i will definitely update you tomorrow after my parties (hopefully there will be some..haha) Until then, wish me luck!

Sounds like you had an amazing first day! I'm so happy for you! Definitely update us when you can...we're all anxiously awaiting your invite list:D

Tomorrow's the day you'll start to get a feel for the houses. It all tends to blur together during open house. Remember to ask yourself if you feel comfortable and welcome. Look at how the sisters interact with each other. Enjoy the whole process, and check in with us so we don't go crazy wondering what "our rushee" is doing!

I'm so jealous! When I went thru rush- we did not get T-Shirts and "goodies". I guess when they changed from rush to "recruitment" - the benefits went from K-Mart like to Neiman Marcus!

I agree with silverblue - tomorrow is the day when you will get a feel for the sorority's dynamics. Good luck and remember to keep an open mind

One of the best things about RUSH is all of the fantastic women you meet from all of the different organizations - I was so excited for everyone in my RUSH group when I went through - especially to see if any of them would end up being your "sister"!

I can't wait to see where you will visit tomorrrow!
