Things that p... you off

People who stand still when going DOWN on escalators. Get walking you lazy bastards!

And people who stand still on those moving walkways at the airport.

Actually they're supposed to stick to one side so people can get by if they'd like.

You know what pisses me off? The two jackasses that're always in every single photo: on is puffing his lips out with a hand on his chin and the other one will be making some gesture with his hand (either some fake ass gang thing or the "shocker").

Message to escalator users -

1. Do not just stand there when going down. Work your lazy ass.
2. On the trip up or down - try and really focus on what you will do at the bottom. Which way will you go? DO NOT decide at the bottom.
3. Stand on the F*** right, if you must stand at all.
4. When getting off the escalator, walk fowards for a few metres before turning. Do not simply cut right across the path of everyone getting on the escalator going in the opposite direction.

:D

-PRicks who use the elevator to go one floor up or down. Use the freaking stairs.

-Anoying tiny boppers at a concert yelling to hear the hit song, and then gets all excited and jump around. Stand still and enjoy the song.

-Reality TV, which I still say it's an oxymoron (sp?)

-I hate people who are intollerant of other people's culture.

People that borrow money from you, but pay you back in installments. You borrowed fifty bucks from me, don't give me ten and say you'll pay me later.

Another thing that gets under my skin is when you get to the checker at the supermarket, and your food has been scanned, you decide you don't want it. Now the manager has to come from his office which usually somewhere deep in the store with a special key that you would think is the holy grail itself and type in a code to clear your purchases. All the while we have to wait.

Then it's the 411 operator who you tell you need two numbers but automatically connects you to your first call. Now you have to pay another dollar if you want that other phone number

People walking 4 abreast down the sidewalk and going REALLY REALLY SLOW. It's not a frigging production number from Grease - please break into twos and let people pass you if you want to go at snail speed.

And people who let their kids run wild and make noise in libraries or bookstores. They should get the chair.

re the escalators, I have heard of people being yelled at to NOT walk up or down on the escalator (i.e. get on a step and stay there), so that might be the reason.

when im driving and someone cuts in front of me when there are 2 other empty lanes

people that yell at their kids in public

slow people

being talked down to/second guessed/questioned

when i'm talking to someone telling them something, and then a 3rd party who wasn't paying attention asks me a question which would have been answered had they been paying attention (my dad does this all the time, drives me crazy)

when people at work get a thousand personal calls a day..what the hell is so important that you have to call every 5 minutes

Darlin', I think I'm going to start a campaign to get you an honorary membership in the American Library Association.

No Ma'am, I will not watch your kids while you go over to look for books on the other side of the library. You had 'em, you watch 'em.

URGHGHWGHGIHSDHWS DH!!!! I HATE THE BELTWAY!!!! I hate when bastards get in the left lane and go like friggin 50 MPH. THE SPEED LIMIT IS 55, but you know good and well if you don't do at least 65-70, you're gonna get run over!!! I hate when they slam on brakes when they see a cop WHO ALREADY HAS SOMEONE PULLED OVER!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm waiting an extra 10-15 minutes cuz yall scared the cop is gonna run bak to his car and get 1763 people who are all going like 57 in the first place, I mean COME ON (I get violent behind the wheel, not road rageinsh, but I hate bastards who can't drive)

As for the escalator/moving walkway, the purpose is so you DON'T have to walk. That's why it moves for you. I hate when you get on the escalator to go down to the Metro (public transit train) and people damn near knock you over. I HATE going downtown on the metro.

I hate when people go to McDonalds, KNOW GOOD AND WELL WHAT'S ON THE MENU, IT HASN'T CHANGED SINCE BREAKFAST, and take all year to order.

DeltaSigStan 08-12-2002 08:22 PM

OH GEE WHERE DO I START?

* The fact that fat people are suing fats food chains because they're food made them fat. Or the loser who smoked for 50 years and sued cigarette companies because the ads MADE them smoke. The last time I checked people weren't knocking on your door and SHOVING Marlboros and Big Macs in your mouth. It's your fault for choking down quintuple bacon burgers and smoking 7 packs of death sticks a day. CMON PEOPLE, ACCOUNTABILITY!

*The fact that I'm sitting here ALONE, while some high school drop out loser who should be a freshman in college but is a junior in HS, straight Fs and ruined a soccer career for drugs, no direction, no ambition, has been dating for a year, a college sophmore (junior college but still college) who gets straight As, teaches gymnastics, is completely beautiful and is NOW A SAN DIEGO CHARGER CHEERLEADER! DO I have to drop out of college, spend all my money on a Honda Accord and start racing it? WTF kind of INJUSTICE is this? CMON PEOPLE! ACCOUNTABILITY! If you're a loser, JUST because you look like a model doesn't earn you the right to have the riches that hard working stiffs like myself so deserve!

*The fact that my friend is sitting there wondering if this girl he likes will in fact go out with him because she's still not over an Ex boyfriend who yelled at her, called her a B*TCH, and treated her like Sh*t (Gee, what a f*cking surprise: he's not in school either!) This girl will know my friend will treat her right and she's still hung over this bum.

*That I can't referee a U-19 boys soccer match without two players getting into a fight over some petty BS like whether it's a goal kick or corner kick.

*People who don't know that it's the LAW to pass a car on the LEFT lane.

*Family members and other Asian peers who keep telling me I'm "not Filipino enough" or I'm "whitewashed" because I don't race a honda or play dance dance revolution, because I was in band and not choir, because I was on the newspaper and not the yearbook, because I like soccer and not basketball.

I'll add more when I think of some more.

SoCalGirl 08-12-2002 10:10 PM

I hate morons and anyone who does not take personal responsibility for their actions!

It irritates the hell out of me that Honda is being so frickin secretive about the new Accord. It's going to be released in less than thirty days. Could you at least release the official pictures? I'm going to be so pissed if the spy pics on the web are actually the European model.

=
Stan,

Do they give you crap for not going to UCSD and not living in Mira Mesa? Or do you live in "Manila Mesa"? Then, yeah, I can understand them giving you crap. ;) :p j/k

DeltaSigStan 08-12-2002 10:19 PM

lol actually UC students make fun of Cal State students in general and vice versa.

I grew up in "Pinoy Hills", but I went to a performing arts school and not the local high school so I ddint grow up with the rice rocket crowd.

Cluey 08-12-2002 10:43 PM

Ahhh! Kids in the library! I work in a library two days a week after school hours to help tutor kids, find resources, etc. Some of the children who come in there, though, make me question if I ever want to procreate.

I know that my sister and I went into college libraries when we were younger, but we were always like little adults. We copied all the stuff my mom needed for her doctoral research and never bothered anyone. I guess that's the difference in how people are raised, though.

DeeGeePee 08-13-2002 11:02 AM

I forgot some...

**ok, I know ALL of you have either been in this situation or are the a**hol in this situation. Ok, you're driving, and you need to get over. But there is someone right beside you, a little behind you, but not enough to get over, and you don't really have room to speed up. So, naturally, you put on your signal, and OBVIOUSLY a sane person would ease up a little so you can get over, right? NO, that loser, while this whole time has been going like 40 in a 55 SPEEDS UP to pass you, then slows back down so that now they too damn close in the front!! So you've missed your turn/exit thanks to this loser!!

**Ok, why is it, people coming out of parking lot, whatever, see you coming, but wait until you are right up on them to jump out, then GO SLOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Some people just need to be smacked!

Blaire 08-13-2002 03:16 PM

* when someone says "I'll call you back in 5 minutes" or "I'll call you tomorrow" and then doesn't. If you don't think you'll call me back, don't tell me you will!

* liars

* The following question: "So, what's the worst thing you had to do when you were pledging your sorority?" Well, lets see...there's that time I got lots of presents for Big Sis/Lil Sis week; that was pretty rough

* when my brother takes something of mine (ie...my stero speakers) and when I ask for them back, he throws a hissy fit

* making fun of my accent (yes, I'm from the South; yes, I've eaten grits; no, I've never dated my cousin)

* when you are at a stop sign and someone is turning past you but they don't put on their signal and you have to wait an extra 5 minutes

* the following saying "Those who can, do...those how can't, teach". If it were'nt for teachers, there would be no doctors

* when people ask a question in class that has been previously answered by the professor, like, 5 seconds ago

* people who steal my parking space WHEN MY BLINKER IS ON!!!!!!!

Hmm.. I have this thing against screaming kids in the store/movie theater while the parents seem to act deaf like their kids aren't screaming at the top of their lungs!

When somebody eats your food at work!!! And no James, I did not put my name on it!

AlphaSigLana 08-13-2002 05:43 PM

It pisses me off when
1) I dig for loans and am working hard to get a degree in journalism/cjk and NONEDUCATED Pamel Anderson was given a job at JANE Magazine to write about domestic abuse, raising children etc UGH!!!!!!
2) People who think they are better bc they were hazed and more greek than those that weren't hazed. I'm sorry that I got gifts--- BUT I still worked hard for my house DAMMIT!!!!
3) People who base everything on how much it costs!!!!!
4)Uneducated people who act like they are really smart
5) most teenagers piss me off(I'm sure we all can say this) of course there are some awesome ones!!
6)Clothing designers/manufacturers--- excuse me, but i really would like a decent pair of shorts- I don't want to show everyone my ass!!!! It's too hot in Florida to want to wear capris from what I've been told!!! Just bc some celebrities like to be skanky doesn't mean the rest of us do. Plus I know that most schools have dress codes-- so why do they make some that should be illegal in most places?

Rio_Kohitsuji 08-13-2002 06:32 PM

Ahem....*cough*..here's mine..hehe...:

Exboyfriends that treated you like sh*t and are now upset that you have a new boyfriend that treats you like a princess!!

University of Rio Grande...and that's all I'm going to say about that.

People who diss things that they have NO FREAKING idea about (GLO's, band, etc...)

People who complain about a freakin' 5-10 dollar insurance copay when MILLIONS of people pay hundreds of dollars out of pocket for medication!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

People who receive a thousand dollar bag full of meds from medicaid and then 'forget' to tell the pharmacist that they don't take whatever med any more..and since med's cannot be returned..it's WASTED!!!

Losing your scholorship, so you drop a certain class that you would have had taken, then getting a letter saying they gave it back to you, so you have to get the class back... (Don't you just love it lil Mike?????????)

People who live down in a holler and on a farm in a very backwards hick country, acting like a generic 'thug/gangsta'

Members w/in a GLO that accuse/pick-on younger members or GDI's

...and people who deface TKE tags!! (okay, well, they defaced it first..but still... :p)

Blaire 08-13-2002 07:27 PM

Okay I thought of another one...
* when people take their young childeren to inappropriate movies...when I saw Austin Powers 3, some woman brought her 4 year old son! He repeated EVERYTHING that was said and kept asking her what this meant and that meant. ARGH! oh and did I mention that they were right behind me?

* oh also, when a child is screaming at the top of its lungs during church or in a movie and the parents do not attempt to quiet them or take them out of the enviornmet. Poor kid.

Blaire

AlphaSigLana 08-13-2002 07:44 PM

AH

I also hate how shows like Entertainment tonight want to show the whole movie before it is out!!! UGH!!! Please let me see the movie myself!
I hate election signs that line the road--they're in the way when one is looking to turn!!!! I thought thought was suppossed to block traffic?
I hate the way girls on Elimidate/Blinddate/ any other dating show are so willing to take off their clothes or act slutty!!! GET SOME CLASS. JUST BC CLASSY LADIES AREN'T WILLING TO TAKE IT ALL OFF FOR A STRANGER DOESN'T MEAN WE AREN'T FREAKS IN THE BEDROOM-- WE JUST FEEL SOMETHINGS ARE BETTER LEFT A SURPRISE!!!

juniorgrrl 08-14-2002 01:38 AM

*When parents are resentful of your emotions for one reason or another. Yeah, you telling me that it bothers you that I've got some feelings about something really makes me feel better. </sarcasm>

*Not being allowed to move into your apartment until the day your classes/orientation begins.

*Crime

*The fact that a very large percentage of EE jobs are held by people on work visas - yet my boyfriend, an American citizen can't find a job. So he's stuck living with his parents, 90 min away from me :(

Fewdfreak 08-14-2002 03:11 AM

*People who can't drive. I hate it when I'm driving and someone is so close to my bumper that I cannot even see their head lights in my rear view... Also, the person that I am behind, ready to merge, PUTS ON HIS BRAKES, even when there is no one else on the road. People, it's called merging for a reason, if you were supposed to stop, there would be a sign...

*People who scream/hit children in public. Geez, I was at the store today, and you'd think that I was on the set of the Jerry Springer show or something. The woman sent her five year old daughter back to get something she forgot after she'd gotten in line, and her daughter comes back with the wrong thing, and the woman flips out! When I was little I remember one time I was at the roller rink, and this mother yanked the skates out of her kids hands, and the daughter was like "Hey!" and the mother yells "Hay is for horses!" and slapped her kid.

*The kids/teenagers who are obnoxious/think that they are Eminem/Miss Pop Queen. I can't go to the mall without some thirteen year old and her 'boyfriends' giving each other piggy back rides, throwing candy, or being loud...

*People who talk about you like you aren't there. Need I say more.

LOL, Rudey, I have pictures where my friends are giving some 'shocking' poses to the camera. :p What is really bad is having to explain it to your mother and younger sister when they ask "What is Amy doing with her hand?" "Uh, yeah, Mom, it's a gang sign..."

Speaking of which, I can't stand people who don't understand the concept of merging. If there is a sign that says "Right lane ends in 1 mile," why do people feel the need to tear down the right hand lane and try to cut over at the very last second? You are causing more traffic by doing this, and you are pissing off the people who were smart enough to get into the correct lane a mile ago. Why not try a little courtesy and common sense?

AOX81 08-14-2002 11:10 AM

Well the boss is in New York today so he can't piss me off until tomorrow.

Instead of my boss bugging me the Secretary has made it her job today. She asks me questions every five minutes because she wants me to spark up a conversation with her. I've had a headache since Sunday and I do not want to talk to anyone this week. Thank God my desk is in the back of the office because if I was in the same room as her I would have shot her by now! I have been looking for a new job but have been unsuccessful :(

Thank God I have Friday off. I'm going camping in Michigan. Maybe a 1/5 of Pucker or Peachtree will cure my headache...or make it worse!

This summer I worked as a cashier at a wonderful retail store that will remain nameless. But I hated when customers assumed I was trying to steal their salesperson's sale. I was standing behind the counter and noticed this woman waiting there. I had already seen my co-worker helping her so I knew which employee number to punch in for the sale. I asked if she needed to be rung up. She replied that so and so was helping her and that she'll ask so and so if she should be rung up. I'm like okaaay. And the customer asks so and so and she tells me I can ring her up. I had already punched in so and so's employee number when she asked me, "This is so and so's sale." I said, "Yes." Then as I'm finishing up the transaction, she asks me again, "This is so and so's sale, right?" I'm like, "Yes, I'm only a cashier." That pissed me off that she thought I may have tried to get the commission. I should have said, "I'm not a salesperson so I can't even get the commission!" Geez.
