Are you all sure Halle has had any alterations?

It is hard to say who has or who hasn't had any alterations. We really do not know who has or has not gone under the knife.

Steeltrap you couldn't be more right; Susan Fales-Hill I remember her and her mother. Susan epitomizes grace, elegance, and style. She is featured alot in Town & Country magazine. Do you have any idea what she is doing now (I know alot of Jasmine Guy's "Whitley Gilbert" role was patterned after Susan.

I've also seen a lot of Mrs. Fales-Hill in Town and Country. I saw on a Web site where she was a producer of "Linc's," the now-defunct Showtime series starring Steven Williams and Pam Grier.

She's also been active in N.Y. society, as illustrated by this:

Now check it out, noone mentioned ANY woman ( including myself:mad: ) over 180 lbs....like Phyllis Hyman, Aretha Franklin, or even Queen Latifah. Does this mean that our image of beauty is biased?

I suspect that J-Lo.'s got a bit of African in her. Remember, Puerto Rico also had a history with Africans, as did many Caribbean areas.

Both Halle Berry and Kenya Moore have been cosmetically altered... Halle both in the face and bosom (sp.) and definitely Kenya in the bosom...

Most women in the "industry" face that fact. And all ethnic groups participate... It is suspected that Lena Horne has had some touch up. But it doesn't neglect the fact that all my sistahs of Afrikan descent are beautiful inside and out!!! :)

On that note, the ladies that I consider most amazingly beautiful!

MY MIMMY!!! :D :) OF COURSE!!!

I also consider my Grandmother awesome, too.

But my great grandmother who is gone now was extremely beautiful, where if she were alive today, she would blast Halle Berry AND Lena Horne waaaayyyyy out... But that was a different day and time, unfortunately...

See, that's why I had a problem with this thread, we do not know if anyone has had any alterations or not (well some, you can take a look at, get magazines of before and after, etc.). Therefore, expressing who is (in everyone's opinion) a beautiful black woman is more appropriate, than a BBW who has not had cosmetic surgery.

That's just like asking who is your favorite non-gay/non-lesbian celebrity? wth?

So, some of the opinions expressed are not valid, rather the original question is not (the original question asked for those who had not had cosmetic surgery), because many on these lists have had cosmetic surgery.

I guess I'm studying too much analytical and deductive reasoning. I'm not trying to rain on the thread, just raising my moderator pink and green flags.

miss priss 08-18-2002 08:12 PM

It was totally meant as a pun on Janet Jackson however I didn't realize that Halle or Kenya had surgery...who knew

Honestly, as far as I am concerned she is black. Speaking another language and having a Latin last name doesn't make you less black to me. A few people didn't get to read the article about that but I suspect many of you have.

Yes I love Halle and yes she had a nose job. She admits it. She also has fruit acid peels, something we like to call "skin lightening". It is good for scars.

Yes, the thread is a little off because 1, people keep listing sisters with cosmetic alterations but also because they are listing like 15 women. No biggie though, some people don't know.

In no particular order

1. Leila Arcieri
2. Stacey Dash
3. Thandie Newton
4. Trina McGee-Davis
5. Aaliyah

Honorable mention: Aisha Tyler
:D

These women, to me, are classic beauties.....

I brought this back because I just got Susan Fales-Hill's book and am really enjoying the read. Here's a picture of this 40-year-old new mother. I doubt that I would ever look like that if I had a baby at that age. :p

You do realize they are no longer married, right?
Or, do you mean he's smart to have divorced her so that she is available for you? :D
