Lots of different groups have someone in the running...fun! Go Miss Iowa!

Sciencewoman 09-11-2016 10:04 PM

Gabby Douglas didn't look too impressed with Miss California's gymnastics dance...the Olympics are a pretty tough act to follow.

ARKTTKA 09-11-2016 10:09 PM

Odds to win the title...

Sister Havana 09-11-2016 10:12 PM

Miss Maryland was...not good.

Sciencewoman 09-11-2016 10:15 PM

Agreed.

polarpi 09-11-2016 10:15 PM

I have yet to like any of the singers..... :O

azureblue 09-11-2016 10:16 PM

Some of these talents...hmm.

Sciencewoman 09-11-2016 10:22 PM

I haven't mocked any of the talents since Miss Michigan Kaye Lani Rae Rafko won with hula dancing back in 1987. I remember audibly groaning when they announced her talent, but she won! So, I figure, what do I know?

joliebelle 09-11-2016 10:25 PM

Yes, very...interesting performances so far.

The way they've been doing the talent segment for the last few years does the singers no favor. Why can't they do it like they do the rest of the categories: announce the names of those who are moving on, break, then talent? Give the singers time to warm up!

I'm sure that's part of it.....some of them I just wasn't impressed with their arrangements

Sister Havana 09-11-2016 10:46 PM

I can't believe Miss Maryland made it through after her talent. I'd have put Miss Iowa through instead.

honeychile 09-11-2016 10:49 PM

I am on call at work, so of course, I'm busy.

Is Miss SC still in the running?

Yep...when they panned past the three and she had that pursed lips/no smile expression, I thought "Yikes!"

nyapbp 09-11-2016 11:13 PM

I am so glad that the winner is a confirmed NPC woman!

honeychile 09-12-2016 06:35 AM

Congratulations to Miss Arkansas and Kappa Kappa Gamma!

mullingal 09-12-2016 06:19 PM

Well, I'm ecstatic that Savvy brought it home for KKG!
I also know Miss Iowa from dancing with her when we were younger (she played Clara and I was a girl at the party in a local production of the Nutcracker) and she is just a wonderful lady with a great heart and a great family. She makes Iowa proud.

ChioLu 11-03-2016 04:11 PM

Savvy Shields was at the 2016 CMA Awards on 11/2.
