Shhhh No one know I have this CD!!!

I don't know if this thread has been done, but what CD do you have you are ashamed to admit you have? Mine is: Falco's greatest hits. Can anyone top that?

AlphaGam1019 08-09-2002 07:41 PM

how about a CD with different versions of the Macarana?

FiReKraCkEr 08-09-2002 09:56 PM

Ok,Ok!! I admit I have the entire collection Spice Girls CDs....

When Ginger Spice quit....I actually wanted to replace her as "Oriental Spice" LOL! I used to love them, and when I need a pick me up....I pop in one of their CDs!

I have Mariah Carey's first couple of CD's, shh! :p I can't even remember the last time I listened to them...they're going straight to Disc Go Round to be traded in as soon as I get around to going.

AOIIalum 08-09-2002 10:08 PM

I'm not ashamed to admit these, either!

For those of us old enough to have lived through these the first time around...

I own a copy of both "Absolute Rollers" and "Bay City Rollers Greatest Hits" on CD (along with the entire BCR catalog from 1975-1982, on the original well-loved vinyl.)

I also have a collection of US and import Duran Duran vinyl that would shame most adult women :D

AGDPrincess70 08-09-2002 10:11 PM

I have Britney Spears "Oops! I did it again!"

And I swear on Graham Chapman's grave, my aunt gave it to me during my first round in the hospital. I DID NOT GO OUT AND BUY IT MYSELF. She thought it might cheer me up...

um...yeah...

AGDPrincess70 08-09-2002 10:13 PM

Oh, and by the way AOIIalum...I love Duran Duran!!!!! I'm jealous of your collection!

Oh......my......gawd!!!! How funny!

pbear19 08-10-2002 11:16 AM

I'm not sure if anyone will be able to top this...

I still have the cd single of Right Said Fred's I'm Too Sexy. It's got the original, five remixes and the Spanish version (my personal fave).

Of course, I was thirteen when I bought it! :D

I'm too sexy for your party, too sexy for your party, no way I'm disco dancing!

ROFLMAO!!!! I have the cassette single of that song. But I got it when I was in *college* so I really have NO excuse.

I also have the CD of the Jingle Cats Meowy Christmas, but that was a gift. It's actually funnier than you'd think -- I ended up crying from laughing so hard the first (and only now that I think about it) time I listened to it.

douthit 08-10-2002 08:20 PM

I am ashamed to admit that I own Britney Spears' first album :D

I never have been able to come up with a good comeback when somebody is flipping through my cds and spots that one!

DeltaSigStan 08-10-2002 08:44 PM

Well, because most kids our age don't listen to it, I'd have to say the tens of jazz and classical music CDs I have (Hey, I was in orch/band in HS (don't u dare call me a band geek!))

ChiOqt 08-10-2002 09:21 PM

I must admit that I too have the britney spears album...:p

Unregistered- 08-10-2002 09:31 PM

The Brady Bunch Movie Soundtrack.

I think I'm going to retreat back into my corner and hide because I'm embarassed now.

TaraHopeful 08-10-2002 09:49 PM

I have a spice girls cd., ace of base, and a whole bunch of old "Grammy Nominees" CD's....... ::hides under bed::

ZTAngel 08-11-2002 11:37 AM

I have the Backstreet Boys cd. I swear I didn't buy it. My freshman year my big sister took me and a couple of other sisters to one of their concerts out in Tampa. It fell around the time of my birthday so my big bought the ticket for me (I would NEVER have paid for the ticket). My biological sister assumed that I liked them and bought me the cd as a birthday present. I will admit that I've listened to it. :p

TaraHopeful 08-11-2002 01:15 PM

A.J., you know the weird alcoholic backstreet boy...ya he went to my school. I looked up his picture in my yearbooks and he was such a dorky little kid, amazing how life changes you so quickly .....just thought i'd say that....

Aw, don't be ashamed of liking classical and jazz! Life would be boring if we only listened to rock/rap/top 40!

That said, I am most ashamed of my Bananarama, Winger, and Whitesnake tapes (all purchased while I was in elementary/junior high...what did I know?).

Winger rocked!!! "She's only 17, 17" :)

Milli Vanilli, Vanilla Ice, Snow, and MC Hammer. I even got the pants back in the days.

Those are bands I loved! I remember buying the 45 of Cruel Summer in the fourth grade. I had a crush on Kip Winger ( Don't tell anyone because I saw him on television a few weeks ago and wondered how could I have ever liked him)! I could't wait for the Headbangers Ball to come on so I could catch Whitesnake's " In the still of the night". God, I miss 80's music.

I have more than 200 jazz CDs. Then again, I'm of the age where many people start listening to jazz (late 30s).

pinkey08 08-12-2002 03:03 PM

New Kids on the Block
________
Indica strains

ZTAMiami 08-12-2002 03:16 PM

Hey, there is NOTHING wrong with owning New Kids on the Block CD's!!!:p
LOL, when I was 10 I also bought the CD their bodyguard made, it was awful!

Fewdfreak 08-12-2002 09:39 PM

I actually owned the Hanson CD. I don't know why I got it, but I remember my mom buying it (this was in like 7th grade) and me and my sister dancing to it. I also had the second Britney Spears CD (blah) and we used to sing along with it in the car, but then it got stollen which was kind of a blessing in disguise.

Don't knock my New Kids on the Block. I remember I used to have the biggest crush on Joey. I even owned the dolls...

L.

Excelsior301 08-12-2002 09:51 PM

It's alright, I have the Hanson CD too. I got it back in, like, 8th grade. I even bust it out sometimes and sing along since I can hit the same high notes as those little boys:)

ThielGirlie 08-13-2002 10:51 AM

I think my top CD that I'm ashamed of having is "German Beer Drinking Songs." Hey, I'm German... I like beer... But it is kinda geeky to have a CD like that. :p

Hootie 08-13-2002 09:04 PM

I have a very RANDOM cd collection:

But I'm afraid to admit to having the following:
Abba's Greatest Hits (dude I was the dancing queen)
Melrose Place CD
The Presidents of the United States of America
A lot of musical soundtracks ~ evita is double disc!
and
Shaggy!

chioangel83 08-15-2002 06:34 AM

-Aqua....i remember my best friend bought it for me for my birthday once...aggghh that annoying song "barbie girl" grrrrr! But, I remember when that was popular.
-Ricky Martin
-Every single Mariah Carey...i used to be obsessed with her
-Space Jam & Men In Black movie soundtracks
-Spice Girls
-Paula Abdul (not even the cd its still the tape!!! whoa! I have NO idea why i didn't toss that years ago, but i found it the other day cleaning out some old drawers)

ok on that note it's time to hide under the covers..hehe :)

Vanda,

Please do not disrespect Falco :D :D :D !!!

Have you ever heard his finest work :p with the group After the Fire?

May he rest in peace :( !

ROCK ME AMADEUS!!!!!

IBRSki 08-15-2002 08:24 AM

i realize by posting this and being new here i am NOT going to be giving the greatest impression of myself, but i really must say i have THE most embarrasing cd. A little background, as a joke at a party one of his songs was playing and for some reason i knew all the words, so as a sort of "gag gift" one of my sisters gave me this cd she'd found in her parents collection................

(i can't believe i'm admitting this...)

yes, I own Michael Bolton's greatest hits.

go ahead and laugh, i'll understand :D

In no way am I trying to disrespect Falco. I actually bought the CD for one song which is Jeannie. Even though it's not in English (except for the chorus) I love the song. The fact of the matter is when people see the CD case, they immediately turn their nose and go, "Tell me you really didn't buy this". To this day, it's in constant rotation in my Cd player. And yes I do remeber after the fire:D !

j_gets 08-16-2002 07:23 AM

Michael Jackson, Ace of Bass, Amy Grant, Alladin soundtrack. And if you consider '80s metal embarrasing (I don't but many do) I have bunches of that stuff.

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie Soundtrack

Someone please shoot me now. I don't remember when or why I bought it, but I did.

.

Halo79RN 08-17-2002 08:16 PM

Debbie Gibson's Greatest Hits.... It's sad , I know... but my friends and I have had a blast listening to it while we're drunk... I sing my best then...=)
