The Official "Carnation Twins" Rush Thread
 

Helllooo!

Here is their official rush thread-- they start rush in 2 days! Both are very, very fired up and seem to be totally open about which group to pledge. Below they're going to say something but after this I'll be posting for them like justamom did for her daughter to make everything very neutral ...many people from VSU are on GC and we would never want to hurt any of the friends we've made!

Well, I probably know more about rush and sororities than most of the others going through rush because my mom and older sister are both greek! I'm really excited about meeting new people, making deep, longlasting friendships, and gaining leadership skills. I think the only thing that I'm worried about is the appropriate dress for each of the days. As far as sororities go, I'm just going with an open mind hoping that I'll find one for me.

I'm excited, but nervous to be going through RUSH. I'm also excited about meeting new friends and experiencing college life. I'm glad that I will be getting the chance to be involved in many activities. I'm going into RUSH with an open mind and hope to find a sorority that I will want to be with for the rest of my life!!!

I wish you the best. You are very fortunate to have a mother and older sister who could help prepare you for what's in store for the next few days. Definitely, go through rush, I mean recruitment, with an open mind and be yourself. I hope that you are able to find a home away from home in a sorority at VSU. Good luck! Not that you need it. :)

I'm sure your Mom has told you how excited I am for you. You have the "best of the best" in your corner and we ALL want you to find the happiness you deserve. Have fun! Ballerina and Blazercheer, I can't add any more to the great advice that you have been given. I will just say enjoy every minute because you will remember it always. You have an added benefit because you are going through it together. That's even more special.

Carnation, you did a wonderful job with all your kids. I am so excited for the twins, your AOII, and you too.

I am getting nervous for you three...AHH!!:eek: ...Good Luck!! For some strange reason I wish I was rushing again :( ..O Well I am happy enough I am involved in recruitment...So it starts on Monday is it? I am a lil slow you have to excuse me,lol.

OH MY GOSH!!!! Carnation I am sooo excited! I cant wait to meet your girls!! You are such an awesome mom for perparing your girls the way you have. You should (and I know you do!) be so proud! And I feel very comfortable telling you, any of the groups there at VSU will take good care of them for you!!!

I only copied that off the the Valdosta web site...I have no idea what they are thinking... :-)

I can hardly wait until Friday! Just think, Blazercheer and Ballerina, this time next week, you'll be Greek! This thread may be 50 pages long by then! You girls have an awesome mother, and I'm so proud to be able to call her my sister. Carnation, we anxiously await updates. There can't be two girls going through VSU rush with more good wishes than your daughters.

About 200 girls going through recruitment thus far.....:D
