Disappearing
 

I can't help but notice that our lovely Chi Omega forum has been a little lonely lately. It seems as though everyone is caught up in the whirlwind of summer and disappearing. What's everyone up to??

After leaving my fiancee, I moved back home and started working within a week (transfered stores basically). So I'm working at the jewelry store full time right now with hopes to be bumped to Assistant Manager.
I'll be going back to school in the fall with hopefully 12 credit hours...at least 9!
I'm moving into my new apartment next Friday! SO EXCITED. Other than that, I'm just hanging out, trying to budget money and get back on my feet.

Sorry to crash your board, but Hootie, I just wanted to say you are a model for woman everywhere. No woman deserves to be treated poorly by anyone and you took inituative and moved. Just by your actions that you have done over the past few weeks, by standing up for your self and being able to get back to were you are is incredible. You deserve nothing but the best. Good luck to you.

Hi! I always read the boards, but don't usually write! I'm just chilling over the summer, working & taking Bio in summer school. I miss all my sisters so much & I can't wait for rush! I'll be back at school in just a few weeks for work week! I'm so excited for rush - it will be my first rush as a sister & I think it'll be so fun! I'm living in the house this year, and can't wait for that! If anyone wants to share their experiances of living in the house, I'd love to hear them!

LilMissXO~ Where are you from? This will be my first year experiencing rush as a sister, and I'm soo excited. Work week is rapidly approaching here as well. Although, we don't have sorority houses recognized by campus yet....all of our sisters live in houses together, and I love it...it's not quite the same, but it's an experience you'll love!

I've been around, but mainly making posts on our Chi-O Hooties site at MSN.

Hey lovely Chi O's-
After a couple of months getting adjusted to the life of mommy-hood, Jack is finally sleeping more than 2 hours at a time so I can get back to what I love.... checking in with my fellow greeks and hooties! I have missed you all so much and looks like I have missed a lot of what has been happening- you all will have to fill me in!

I'm already doing a lot of recs for the upcoming recruitment- mostly Texas and one in Charleston- awesome girls! Looks like it will be another great season!

work work work..all day long..at a job i absolutely loathe..with people i loathe..but it will soon all be worth it..1 month from today (august 18th) I'm moving to NJ! Woohoo!! :) I can't wait!!

I have been taking online classes working and dancing all summer. I always read all the posts but seldom write. This spring will be my first rush from the other side and I am totally pumped. I miss all my sisters and cant wait to get back to school.

Join the club whiteroses! I can't wait to be back with all my lovely sistas! It's going to be so good once the semester is back in full effect and everyone is going crazy with rush and such. Sounds like none of us have had much of a summer vacation with all this WORK, WORK, WORk!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, I'm a dork...I'm responding to my own post..but things are starting to liven up again on this forum with all the beautiful Chi Omegas!!!:D

Thank you everyone for your support and kind words!!!!!!!!!!!. :) It hasn't been easy, yet it's been about as easy as it can be for what I've gone through (if that makes sense).

I'm excited to meet up with some of my sisters. I will probably join the Alumni association HERE since this is where I'm from! It's good to be home :)

I have been super busy with work. I recently got promoted- and with it came TONS of responsibility. This is my first management role and I am learning so much. And since I am crazy busy, I don't have any more free time to check GC/ Hooties like I use to!!

Other than that, I am moving to my very own apt this weekend. I have always had roomies, but this time, I am all by myself- and I CANNOT wait! It'll be wierd at first, but I am sure I'll get use to it. My big sis is going to be in the same building as me, so if I get lonely, I can visit her.

You will love living alone!! I got my own apt about a year ago, after living in a house with a couple of girls and let me tell you what-I love living alone!! It's so great!!

But, to get back on topic...I've just been dragging tush through my awful summer classes...waiting for the Fall hell to start (seriously, two 7 week courses, covering ER/all the ICU's/Geriatrics-both with rotations, both going on at the same time :eek: ). I get a bit of a break in two weeks, and then I have a weding to go to, and hopefully, I can fly to North Carolina to visit Mr.ChiOJenn.

Whiteroses and ChiOqt-you guys make me miss school!! I wish I was doing Rush again this year!

Hey ChiOqt and everyone - in answer to your question from forever ago - I'm a Chi O at U of A, I rushed last fall & it was the best decision I made! It truly made my freshman year. I am so excited for rush & I can't wait to move into the house! I love our house, I tihnk its the prettiest one on campus! (Not that I'm baised, ofcourse!) You'll have to keep me updated on how rush goes for you (and everyone else!) - I'm really curious to see what its like on the other side!

LilmissXO~ I couldn't agree with you more. I transferred and decided to rush, and I wouldn't have traded it for anything in the world. It's been amazing and I can't wait to get all our new girls at rush! Keep us posted about things down at U of A!!!! Good luck to all!

Well let's see I am still looking for a job for some extra cash.I am starting school the 26th and I am sooo excited for rush as everyone else is..YAY!!:p

Panhellenic is hoping for 200 girls to go through.Now I know that is nothing compared to many of you all.BUT, we are used to 100-120 girls going through and all of our chapters on campus are all about 35 in total...Soo if my calculations are right,That is 33 girls for qoute..Whoa Momma!!:eek:

As much as I would love 200 great PNM's. I maybe wigging out if it really does happen.I have to say though I am excited for rush cause our skit day is going to be soooo cute.THE IDEA IS GREAT, and we can all definitly pull it off with a bunch of goofballs like us,lol.

Hi all my Chi O sisters....I am home in Hawaii, just working and relaxing. I am SUPER excited for rush and living in this next year. I will also be participating in my first rush as a sister and can't wait. My house is being remodeled this summer, so we will have new furniture downstairs and a completely redone beau parlor and living room for rush! When do all of you begin rush practice? Our work week doesn't begin until Sept. 18th or so. If anyone could share their experiences and help give imput that would be greatly appreciated. Hope all of you are enjoying your summers. ChiOqt: Thanks...it will be fun to share experiences! Yes, Sept. 18th seems late but my school (University of Oregon) doesn't start classes until Sept. 30th so rush is in the first week of October, I think starting on October 3rd. Don't be jealous of Hawaii..it's beautiful, but it definitely gets old living on an island your entire life. School on the mainland is a welcome change. Where are you from?
Everyone: Talk to you all soon. I am exhausted from work....I work as a nanny over at the hotels. Good fun and good $, but definitely tiring. So its off to bed soon for me

WOW!!!!! That's about all I can say right now...any idea why U. of Oregon starts classes sooo late?? When do you usually get out for summer break?? I'm from northern virginia...at George Mason University and we're starting on August 26th..and then we have recruitment September 20th to the 23rd. I don't think I could wait that long to go to school, cause I'm definately ready now!:p

I'm not sure why the University of Oregon starts classes so late. All the state universities in Oregon are on the same system though. We are on a trimester, rather than quarters or semesters, so that might have something to do with it. We don't get out until the middle of June. I agree with you though...I am definitely ready to get back to school. I can't wait for recruitment and for living in! BTW, how do you get the XO letters on the bottom of your posts?

Hey, ChiOangel. I posted this in my signature to get the White ChiO. But to get it to print in this post I had to change all the [ to < and the ] to >. Thus use bracket symbols instead of the < and > and it should work.

You could change the size and color to what you want and play around with different settings. It's not user friendly to say the least...lol.
