Happy Canada Day!

To all the Canadian GCers - Happy Canada Day, have an awesome long weekend! 135 years young :).

I'm heading up to Whistler this weekend - I hope the village has some cool activities and shows going on...

Happy Canada Day to all our Canadian GreekChatters!!

(Especially to SisterPlum who must be feeling very far from home right about now)

Sisterplum 06-30-2002 06:11 PM

Thanks KillarneyRose!!!:D:D You're a sweetie!:D

Happy Canada Day to my fellow Canadians! I hope y'all are partying it up all weekend long!

I know I'm having a mini-celebration here tomorrow (meaning my husband and I will have some drinks at our apt together...lame, I know!) and I plan to hang my Canada flag from my patio all day and wear as much Canada stuff as possible to show my Canadian pride!:D

Man I miss home!:( I got an email from one of my sorority sisters who told me my fave bar is closing as of tonight.....I'll never get to drink there again! Needless to say they're all out partying (since tomorrow's a holiday!:D)

Only 1 month to go and I get to go home for a week....I can't wait!!!!!!

HAPPY CANADA DAY!

O, Canada!

The song brings back such memories....a Canadian couple in our church has a mentally handicapped adult son and for many years, he would break into the song during church. Loudly. And this is an Episcopal church!

Well, Happy Canada Day to you all!

I have to have lunch with family friends tomorrow. I'm not a little kid anymore, so there really isn't much else to do on Canada Day. Most activities seem to be family centred, and I'm not 8 years old anymore! I live downtown, so I might be able to catch fireworks from my building.

Happy Canada Day. I hope everyone is having a fun time. I am on my way out to head to the Steveston Salmon Fest!

Personally, I am facinated with the Quebec tradition of Moving Day.

It's so wierd to me that all renters who move in an entire province all do it on the same day.

I had an awsome Canada Day!!!

I went camping at Sauble Beach with 4 of my chapter sisters and we all had a blast. Unfortunately, it was way too windy (and not to mention freezing) down at the beach, so they cancelled the fireworks and did them on the Saturday. I'm not a big fan of fireworks anyway, so I wasn't too disappointed. We had little Canadian flags set up all around our campsite, so we had our own little celebration.

I hope everyone had a great weekend!

Well, it's not all renters. It may still be prominent, but I never heard of it when I lived there and I know of people who've moved at other times of the year. So maybe it's relaxing a bit?
But yeah, that would be funny to see - mass migration of movers.

My Canada day was good. First went to visit my Sapphire sister (aka big sister) and saw her 8 wk old baby. Then I went and visited my class sister and she made cherry pie :) I had dinner with her and her bf at Swiss Chalet (horrible service, even for a holiday)

all in all a good weekend.

Bumped to get an early start!

Happy Canada Day! :)

DeltAlum 06-30-2007 03:59 PM

Happy soon to be Canada Day.

Time to go out in the front yard, face the North and sing "Oh Canibus."

(Oops, you know what I mean)
