Where would you LOVE to see chapters of your org?
I always love talking about this one:
I would love to see more chapters of Phi Sig at bigger schools - I would love to regain our older chapters at big schools. People really dont know us very well because we have a lot of chapters at state schools like Clairon! More chapters in the south too! We are mainly in the north east, California, Florida and Canada. No real expansion in the south! |
University of Texas would be nice, oh wait there chartering this summer ROAD TRIP!
|
I really wish we weren't the only Phi Mu chapter in Illinois.
|
I wish there would be more KD chapters in my region, especially here in PA. We've in recent years lost a few chapters from the area and really need to reestablish our prescence. I would also like to see more KD chapters in Cali.
|
i would like to see more phi kappa psi chapters in general, but for the most part i would like to see the 5 inactive california chapetrs come back. i would also like to see a chapter at fresno state--my sister wen there and i visit often. it would be nice to have some brothers there.
|
I would like to see more AEPhi chapters outside the Northeast.
|
alpha chi
I would love to see a chapter of ALpha chi at UCF in florida.. since i live in orlando and attend FSU!
it would be so much easier to have a chapter near home!! love ashley |
More Canadian Greeks
I would love to see more Canadian universities with more GLO's. Greek life isn't very big in Canada and that's unfortunate.
At my school, we have 2 GLO's and I would love to see more organizations whether they be local or national at the University of Guelph. PPL, Emily |
I would like to see our "Alpha ----" chapters come back. Most of them are closed and they are at some great schools!
|
I wish there were Pi Phi chapters at the University of Miami or Florida International University. It would be nice to see some sisters around when I'm at home.
|
For selfish reasons, I'd like to see us back at the University of Colorado at Boulder. But we've recolonized there twice and I think the chances are very slim.
|
I would love to see Sigma Kappa at Colby College, where we were founded, but Colby College no longer has a greek system.
Other than that, I'd like us to gain chapters in the Ivy League. Also, we need more chapters in North Carolina and Florida. |
I would like us to recolonize our first 2 chapters at Columbia (Barnard to be exact) and at Tulane.
Other than that, to be selfish I would like to see a chapter at UCF and UNF also I think we need more North Carolina chapters as well maybe Chapel Hill or in the Charlotte/Davidson (if they decide to allow sororities) area. I think we only have 2 now Elon and Duke. |
I agree Ali, we definitely need more Phi Sigs in the south...also in the MidWest. It seems the majority of our chapters are on the east coast!

i'd love to see alpha gams at Duke (i wanna go to grad school there) and austin peay state university in tennessee (cause i transfered here) yah - i know i'm selfish. but most importantly - i'd like to see us back at syracuse and univ. of wis. - madison.

I would love to see Delta Gamma return to:
Stanford University of Toronto McGill University and to maybe add some more chapters in: UNLV and North and South Carolina |
AngelPhiSig knows many of us want to see a chapter of Phi Sigma Sigma at Thiel (my school) but greek life didn't like the idea of another sorority. Oh no... 5 sororities? Heaven forbid...
|
Guys, it's not selfish that we want to have chapters close to home! I'm sure most of us want to have chapters everywhere possible! :) It's great that some people are planning on going to grad school and want to have a chapter there. I want to have a chapter in my hometown so that if I move back here after college I can still be involved as an alum firsthand and not have to travel. To think that we're all wishing chapters will be wherever we are is a great testament to how much our organizations mean to us...we don't just want them in our hearts and minds, we want them physically right next to us, damn it! :D
|
I'd love for more national Greek presence in Hawaii, period! ;) If there was a NPC that I'd want to colonize here, I'd say I'd want Delta Zeta to come. Your DZ Hawaii alums are amazing. Especially Caryl!
I'd love to see the Alpha Gamma Delta chapters in Southern California recolonize. I believe we once had chapters at UCLA, USC, SDSU, and UCSB (if there are any more, please correct me!). As of now we have only 3 active chapters (SFSU, Sonoma State, CSU-Chico) in CA. That's why everyone was so happy when we found out we'd be colonizing at Chapman U! |

I am very partial to my state...it's weird to have as many chapters as we do in Texas, and still be considered a "lesser known!" (we currently have 9 active chapters that I can think of, but they are spread out, and not at the state's "name" school--no offense Aggies...that isn't what I mean!).
Anyway, I'd love to see us recolonize at the University of Texas, just so my daughter can go there! (whole family is longhorns except me, and I don't think she'll go to my alma mater, Tarleton)...my brother would die if she went to A&M so she can pledge there, but his wife would love it b/c she's an Ag...but then, she's trying to do a little Tri-Delt brainwashing too, so I'm trying to keep her away!!! That was a terrible sentence! And I have a huge desire to get a colony at Texas Tech (because I live in Lubbock right now, and they sorely need another sorority!). Speaking of Tech, we need to get the Lambda Chi chapter back up and running so my husband will have something to do while we live here. Nice to have: recolonize SMU, andSouthwestern (not to be confused w/SWTSU which is alive and kicking), maybe Midwestern, TCU and/or Baylor. I know, shut up Andi! |
Just some colleges/universities
Recharter University of Pennsylvania Yale University Harvard University Princeton University Columbia University (so that we have all Ivy-League schools, like we used to) McGill University University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill University of Illinois, Urbana Champaign New Charges Texas A&M University University of Texas, Austin Florida State University any univ. in Hawaii any univ. in Europe/outside US and Canada :D cross your finger |

A and AA: In 1968 Hunter split into two campuses (Hunter on Park Ave and Herbert Lehman in the Bronx) and so our Alpha split into A and AA, seeing that when we hit our first double letter chapter- it was Beta Alpha, not the "normal" Alpha Alpha. (get it? We go A- to - Omega and then BetaA to BetaOmega...) |

Actually, there was a recolonization effort at Tulane a few years back. For whatever reason, though, it was unsuccessful. :( |

I truly think the demand is there. It was through the hard work of AGD alums that brought our colonization there 10 years ago, and I'm certain that it can happen again. I think it's time for another NPC to find its way to UH-Manoa! |
Recharters:
Gamma Chapter - Syracuse University Iota Chapter - Florida State University Nu Chapter - University of Pennsylvania Pi Chapter - University of Alabama Chi Chapter - University of Texas Delta Delta Chapter - University of Indiana Delta Lambda Chapter - UCLA Delta Pi Chapter - Penn State Phi Kappa Chapter - UNC Chapel Hill New Charters: Ivy League Schools California (Stanford, USC, etc.) Southern Schools (Alabama, Tennessee, Texas, Georgia) But I don't want much :D |
It would be great to see my organization on any other campus, but that most likely wont happen since we're local!!!
|
Gamma Sig Everywhere!
I don't have any particular places where I'd like Gamma Sig to be. We just need to focus on rechartering basically, because we have a LOT of chapters inactive.
I'd like to see Gamma Sig more in Atlanta besides GSU. And I'd like to see our sorority expand westward, because we are very concentrated in the East and South. |
I would really love to see Delta Zeta return to the University of Maryland, College Park (I'm sure IowaHawkeye would too! ;) ) Also, Towson University.
|
I'd like to see AGD return to Kansas State, Univ. of Colorado - Boulder and Univ. of Missouri -Columbia, so that there would be more chapters of comparable size near my alma mater KU.
Also, I'd love to see AGD return to our Alpha school - Syracuse. |
I would LOVE to see a Delta Zeta chapter at Georgia Tech. :D :D :D :D :D
|
SAI is really strong in the midwest and south, but is weakest in the west, so that's where I'd like to see more of us!
|
I would like to see TKE return to:
Texas A/M University of Texas--Austin Jack |
I would love to see our DPhiE chapters back at UofT (Toronto), McGill, UCLA and UC Berkely, but in general I would love to see more DPhiE chapters in Canada (especially Alberta) and the West Coast of the US. The ultimate place would be UPS, UW or WWU because we have no chapters close to Vancouver so Seattle or Bellingham would be ideal. Also a chapter or 2 in Oregon would be awesome.
|
I'd like:
Our USC chapter to reactivate USD Stanford UC Irvine Chapter to reactivate Chico to reactivate FLorida FSU |
I would love to see Sigma Kappa back at every school we have dormant chapters at; especially Stanford, UCLA, USC, & AZ State.
I would definitely love to see them back at Colby, but I doubt they will decide to have a greek system again. It would be nice to have at least two chapters in each of the 50 states and in the Canadian provinces. Hawaii would be great to have a chapter at (I would love to have convention there! :D ) And definitely more chapters in the Ivy League. |
Just had a thought...
I posted earlier, but I'd REALLY REALLY REALLY like to see all of the Founding Chapters of Gamma Sig active again, especially in light of our 50th this coming October:
Alpha: University of Houston Beta: Brooklyn College Gamma: Los Angeles City College Delta: New York University Epsilon: Boston University Eta: Miami U of Ohio Theta: Queens College Our Zeta Chapter @ Drexel is the only founding school still active. And like dzrose93, I'd love to see a chapter at Georgia Tech! |
I'd like to add on every chapter's behalf - the Greek system is so much weaker out West for almost everyone! For example, in WA and OR, only the two biggest state schools (UofO and OSU, UDub and Wazoo) have Greek systems whereas none of the smaller state schools do, and only a few private schools have them (Willamette, UPS). I'm pretty sure it's similar in Idaho, Montana, etc. I would LOVE to see some of these schools go Greek!
